  1. An ostensibly pro Russian government was just elected in Italy. NATO unity is certainly improved if the option to return to the Russian tit is no longer available.
  2. If the Gasprom strategy was ever going to pay off it would have been soon. Energy prices are approaching 600% of what they were last year, with more rises to come.
  3. But Russia has no credibility left, so why even bother when they can just turn off the tap with another "accident"
  4. Get the Comrade Hammer, it lasts at least 5 levels.
  5. Wireless display connections are a thing. Or a repeater.
  6. So, really it would be Leopards + support staff. Meaning European troops/contractors in Ukraine.
  7. Spare parts i would guess. They would also have to refit in Poland, given that there are no support contractors in Ukraine. That's really not feasible for a tank.
  8. I'll be spending a 4080 and a half more just on my regular electric bill. Makes no sense to buy anything power hungry at all

  10. They want to have an ace left to play, and they also don't have that many leopards. Everybody wants military hardware after decades of defense cuts, these things take a long time to make.
  11. I watched the new Game of thrones thing and.. I dunno, it feels like we did all this already, but better and with full frontal 2010s HBO boobs, instead of shadowy side boobs.
  12. Probably related to the epidemic of people, notably critics, falling from great heights.
  13. ^^ Goldman Sachs is big a player in the European energy market and are making money hand over fist. So, yeah it's "Give us all your money, it's fine, it will only be for a while" rule of thumb, when in doubt - yes they are behaving crooked.

It's all building on research that goes back 20 years though. I couldn't do it, but hobbyists are getting in on the action now that the processing power is there on consumer grade PCs. I guess the point is that it owes rather a lot to the database. here is a collection of the greatest art humanity has ever produced, according to whomever. Without that database it's really nothing. The AI can certainly make it look the part, but it doesn't understand the why of it. A painting like the one that won the competition would take months to produce. Is it good or bad that anyone can do it in 5 minutes. Well, I guess it's kinda like how anyone can use their PC to make music. Some of it is good, but it's also kinda the reason nobody bothers to learn an instrument anymore. So yeah, if you are just some random person using the imput layer, that is definitely not the impressive part of it.
  15. Every offensive runs out of steam though, as it moves too far beyond its supply. If this were on all fronts it would be war winning, but it's not.

I love how people are being all coy with their imput, as if it were IP. In the very loosest sense perhaps, you didn't do anything that took more than a minute or two per attempt. https://beincrypto.com/ai-art-wins-art-competition-invokes-metaverse-social-media-melts-down/ https://www.nytimes.com/2022/09/02/technology/ai-artificial-intelligence-artists.html
  17. Imput Dame Edna in the style of Mike Mignola. The future of art or just hot garbage. So far I have not been able to reproduce the really impressive stuff I have seen, and I think the reason is that it can create an amalgam of things it has seen, but neither the ai or the person giving the imput truly understands what what's going on. It's just rearranging from at database, no one really knows what success looks like beforehand. The database itself is the impressive part. To be able to draw from an essentially unlimited amount of reference.
  18. Much appreciated
  19. Account related ? Either obsidian or... I have a Microsoft account at work and they set everything as stringent as they know how, I can't even open settings in windows. I am posting at home now though. It's strange.

  22. On Quintin Tarantino. I don't think he's a genius or anything, but he does tend to be entertaining. And the shooting on real film snobbery is appreciated when most other things that come out are so low effort.
