This game is meant to be read. This is in the same manner as Infinity Engine games that PoE is based on. It has been stated many times (most notably by JES) that if you don't like to read, you will not fully enjoy the game.

Just leave it as it is. Or even better - make it the same as in BG2.

Does anyone of you guys know decent dwarven portraits? Most notably for a Slayer from Warhammer. This is a nice image of Gotrek Gurnisson (feat. Felix Jaeger, duh), but because it is quite small, cropping it for PoE turns it into a pixelapalooza.

The number "0" is on my main character portrait also.

Great thing about the lore of PoE is that it is so well made. I love the fact that the devs actually invented coats of arms for their setting... but I am still playing the game on my first playthrough (not much time for gaming these days) and I am on my way to Twin Elms, still there were no use of the coats of arms. I mean that these things should appear here and there in the game. On a wall. On a flag, maybe. On a shield of some warrior. But I've seen none. Remember entering Tazok's tent in Baldur's Gate? Those crests of Chill and the others leaning by the wall? That is what I'm talking about. Could this be included in the future projects? Or some update? Or I am just so lacking in perception, and I just missed to see it somewhere?

I just wanted to share my thoughts with you. I find it very climatic, that the decision you have to make at the end of the Durgan's Battery does not give any immediate results. You just choose an option most suitable for you and - nothing. All will be explained in the upcoming second part of the White March expansion and it gives you this feeling comparable to waiting for another episode of your favourite TV series. I know that in the vanilla game there are more stuff that can have later effects depending on your actions but this is a little dirrefent. I get it why the devs wanted to cut the expansion into two separate tales, so the second one will probably be about the consequences of the decisions made in the first part. There is no quick response to that, we just have to wait and see. Speedrunning is impossible, as there is no content to play (for now). In the future the game will no longer be expanded by Obsidian and they will focus on a sequel, so everything that there is to know about Pillars of Eternity will be common knowledge, just as it is with the truth about the protagonist of Baldur's Gate, or the real relation between Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader in Star Wars. Duh. But now - this exact moment? Right now we can experience this story how it was meant to be told. And I thank everyone for that opportunity - glad I could be a part of it. Cheers!

I manually patch my GOG version of Pillars and I haven't seen any missing file errors - at least for now... Am I doing something wrong?

Doesn't matter. Last time (2.01) I did the WM patch first, and the standard patch second. Did the trick. Now (2.02) I did the opposite and everything seems to be in order. The version is 2.02.0749 PX1 and Hiravias finally casts "storm" spells when I ask him to!

A bunch of people had to install both patches to update the game correctly.

GOG player here. If there are two separate patches for WM and no-WM games will it be necessary to install both in order to patch the game properly? That was the case with 2.01

It was constantly on him for no apparent reason for about 10 minutes and then it suddenly vanished. No sensible description fitting on character sheet. Strange

Will there be need to install both versions of the update when it's ready? For some reason only installing 2.01 patch for both WM and no-WM games did the trick.
