Pathfinder Wrath of the Righteous, Part 4
It is the final location of Nenio's companion quest, and a hard requirement if you want to get the 'full' secret ending unless you're playing a Trickster or Demon. Between giant rotating heads casting Waves of Exhaustion or some variant of Firestorm at your party, a screen with endlessly respawning undead monsters and some of the worst puzzles in the history of puzzles in games since Dragonsphere's Ratsicle puzzle, ambushes of giant spider things with ludicrous stats and a frustrating boss fight, you're in for a real treat. Packs of roaming, stealthed rogues capable of killing half your party in a round if they catch you unaware flesh the experience out. You really deserve a medal for even trying.

Anime and Manga - I won’t allow your bones to stay on this planet. I will banish your evil soul.
Which Sailor Moon did you try, and which season was that? I imagine if anyone would start with SuperS for some silly reason that would leave a lasting and really bad impression. Yep. I'm going with that explanation before I call you a tasteless hack... and you can't ruin the TV thread any more than it already is (what's the worst that could happen, someone shows up and Hurlshot-defends some more trash? The horror...). Who cares about the music thread, we have our metal one anyway.

Pathfinder Wrath of the Righteous, Part 4
Yes, well, that goes without saying. I haven't solved a single Wrath of the Righteous puzzle without a guide, not even the prologue's four colour puzzle. It takes two hours to get through Enigma with a guide, no way I'm ever doing this without one.

Enigma killed my will to live and I dropped the game for almost six months before forcing myself to finish the Unfair run I had going.

Ukraine Conflict - "There is no instance of a nation benefitting from prolonged warfare"
Cynic in me says it's probably because two Turkish banks just suspended Mir payments after being threatened with sanctions and he needs some brownie points in light of the stock crash of said banks. On the other hand, he would never have made these comments if Russia wasn't really in a bad place right now, so it's not entirely worthless.

https://www.pbs.org/newshour/show/turkey-president-erdogan-on-russias-invasion-of-ukraine-and-the-future-of-nato Not sure about the quality of the translation ("will" seems to be rather, ahm, optimistic, I suppose), but regardless, it looks like Putin's 'friends' are unhappy with the way his little conflict is interfering with their economic interests. Guess that was really supposed to be over long before winter. Of course, the good old Bosporussian (although in light of these comments, I probably should start looking for a new nickname) also drops this fun hypocrisy bomb: He kind of missed the footnote "unless it's against Kurds" I suppose.

@Azdeus get your friend to watch Sailor Moon with you. But for the love of god do NOT watch Sailor Moon Crystal or the films based on it. Ugh. Also get her to post here then. Please? Pretty please?

Pathfinder Wrath of the Righteous, Part 4
Sosiel doesn't really have a free slot for Last Stand unless you want to give up Elemental Barrage or one of the better domains or turn him into a cold damage spam bot*. Well, maybe on normal you can forgo Mythic Spell Focus, otherwise his Mythic rankups are full with getting the proper domains (Community, Animal**, Madness, maybe Nobility) and Abundant Casting as well as Domain Zealot. *Depends a little on your party composition, but it can work too***. Add a level of Cross-Blooded Sorcerer with Water and Silver bloodlines, then add a Second Bloodline: White to the mix and Ascendant Element: Cold. Give him Coldbite, Hide Armor of Elemental Carnage and Elemental Imbuement, then make sure he takes some cold damage from somwhere and watch your enemies explode. You'd need Greater Spell Penetration and Greater Spell Focus: Evocation as feats. On the bright side, no Elemental Barrage necessary. Guess on normal you could get away with dropping Madness. **Primarily there so he doesn't keel over in every fight. Medium Armor Focus on a DEX 10 character, not even Bioware could come up with that kind of gimping. What the hell, Owlcat? ***Here's the point where I once again mention how much easier this build is to pull off with a mercenary Cleric worshipping Erastil - getting Community and Animal as starter picks leaves only Madness to be taken, you can get all the good bits including Last Stand and have enough spell slots to blast away enemies all day. A mercenary also doesn't spend his first four feats on Selective Channel, Extra Channel, Toughness, and Medium Armour Focus. Jesus H. Christ.

I would suggest spending one of your mythic ranks on giving your characters Last Stand by the time you reach Mythic 5. You never know when an enemy archer decides to engage your backline for no particular reason and starts trouncing through your casters in two or three shots (less if they get off a crit). For Sosiel, Impossible Domain: Animal, and just put him on a boar.

Bandits are pretty good because they get rapid shot, but they also get the least amount of units per week. That probably won't matter much in the long run, but a gaggle of Marksmen still do better at piercing DR and have more units on the field. Wenduag's additions on the logistics council buff mercenaries and make them cheaper, which would be fine if Lann wouldn't give out similar buffs for the more numerous trained units. Her higher tier units are also, ah, well... Witches? Bloodragers, when you could take Dragon Slayers? Nope.

What are you Playing Now? Whatever happens, at least we're out of that mudhole, Gilded Vale.
Raft has a Creative mode where you have unlimited materials and suffer neither hunger nor thirst, and it has no enemies. She gets one third and one fourth level spell over Anomen after his quest, and an additional two level one and two level two spells before that. If that is the difference between resting every encounter or not, then I would venture to say that having Viconia in the party staves off resting for half a real fight. That does not seen worth gimping your party any more than you would with Anomen in the group over a real companion. Can I interest you in a potion or a scroll, maybe?

Anomen has more hit points and more attacks per round. Anomen makes the combat in the game less annoying. Viconia doesn't. Case closed, discussion over. When was the last time you really needed those extra spells from a high wisdom score? Besides, the difference between 16 and 18 WIS is negligible. The solution is to take Jaheira and leave the clerics where they belong, in the trash bin, along with Cernd that human wasteland of a character.

There are no decrees to upgrade your units, those are council sessions, and they just don't happen if you never go back to Drezen. Which is pretty wild, how long have you been travelling without going back? Go, go, and make your diplomat unhappy.

Now, now, don't go knocking Bards in BG2, as long as you play either a Skald or a Blade they're not entirely worthless, unlike single class thieves and single class divine casters. Sad to say, but if you don't want to take Jaheira and really want a cleric in your group, Annoymen is the only real alternative, unless you fancy wasting a party slot on Viconia.

I played Raft with my nephew, and we've just finished the final story island. The game is probably more survival focused when not playing it on the Easy difficulty setting*, because that takes out the punishment of dying, i.e. no inventory is lost upon respawning in the game world. Hunger and thirst are staved off longer, making the exploration of the islands less ardous. Overall, this is an okay survival game, even though the raft design becomes far out there relatively quickly once you start smelting ore in your smelter made of unbaked bricks put on plastic and wood foundations and fired by driftwood. Making fire is never a problem with driftwood pulled directly from the sea and once the smelter is active, a bit of plastic, some scrap and copper ingot will produce circuit boards. I guess whoever the player character is, they're brilliant engineers that would make MacGyver envious. There are story islands that one locates by setting up a triangulation system on your raft and building a radar out of trash and metal ore (which one gathers with a plastic hook, initially). It's just a perfunctory way to progress, although I appreciate having an ultimate goal. The game itself is fun enough in co-op, the aftermath of finishing it wasn't. My nephew was supremely unhappy to find out that there's nothing new to discover now. So, next week, we'll be trying a Team 17 multiplayer mini-golf game. God help me. Maybe I can get him to play Worms with me. *Thank god for the easy setting, really. I don't like open world survival games, like, at all.

True, but I was talking about actually having Wenduag in the group after the prologue. I wonder how many players don't even realize she is a romanceable option because when choosing between Lann and Wenduag, Lann wins elven out of ten times, particularily in case the game begins with her betraying you, which is... probably true for most players too.

I don't think either of the two took the silly little cat companion along. No one in their right mind does, I guess.

The current list of kanji taught in school in Japan contains 2136 characters. That is considered baseline literacy by the Japanese Ministry of Education, and the characters that official government texts are limited to. Newspapers and other modern texts have more than that - Chinese language tests expect you to know at least 2500 characters (and 5000 words, and for what that is worth, that number is around 10000 words* and the 2136 kanji for Japanese) for the higher levels, but the same caveat exist. Certain words and grammatical elements are written in hiragana in Japanese writing, the Chinese grammatical elements are still Chinese characters, not a simplified syllabary. You're right about the diminishing returns though - knowing the most common characters in either language will give you the abiilty to read a lot of texts and look up the rest in a dictionary. Still a far cry away from being literate in the strictest sense. Japanese also has furigana to help with the reading of less common characters. Being able to comfortably read texts really does require more characters for Chinese than Japanese. Academic and literary circles are an entirely different beast - especially in Japanese, where they come with their own set of rules, much like business Japanese has its own set of words and ways to express oneself that is fairly different from regular (but still polite) Japanese in everyday conversation. *Japanese has an excessively large vocabulary. There's a whole slew of forms for the copula, for instance, a simple verb particle with predicative function for sentences that would otherwise lack a predicate. Da, de aru, desu, de arimasu, de gozaimasu and de irasshaimasu are all the same thing, to be used in different contexts.

Nvidia RTX Series
That's fine, I do the same with AMD. Company can go to hell for all I care (best not, of course, because Intel and nVidia without competition would be way worse), and I'm certainly never going to buy any product of theirs.
