I've found it easy to go back, as all black sausage I've had wasn't very good. Bigot.

So lets see.... So far we have these reasons given for someone to rule over you: a) We need rulers so someone can collect taxes from us. b) We need rulers so we can have education and health care. c) We need rulers to act as arbiters. d) We need rulers... well just because we end up with them. e) We need rulers to protect our property rights. There are easily disputed. a) Brain is broken via severe cognitive dissonance. Circular logic fail is often a symptom of this unfortunate condition. Might also be a masochist. b) Education and health care haven't been provided to the populace at large by rulers throughout the vast majority of human history or even today in a great many places. This fact alone proves that these are not valid reasons for the existence of rulers as rulers exist aplenty without them. Education and health care also exist without rulers, and have since before history began being recorded. Even amongst Statists the value of government involvement in health and education is vehemently disputed, as there are a great many Statists who think the ruling class has no business dictating on matters of education or health care. Why would any sane person want a ruler to tell them what education or health care they can, cannot, or must have? Such a person is a slave. c) While a ruler can be an arbiter, an arbiter is not a ruler. Most arbiters are not rulers, and being a ruler is not necessary to be an arbiter. d) Either brain is broken via severe cognitive dissonance, or one has just never before considered the question seriously (it's not one with a simple answer, or one with an answer that can quickly arrived at, especially for anyone that was raised to worship the state, as almost everyone in the western world has been) e) Why must your protection come from someone who rules over you? Governments/Rulers have stolen and destroyed more private property than all other folks in recorded history combined. Exponentially so. You're a hen hoping for protection from wolves, and could likely find much better protection for your property than from the ruling class. Anyone else have a better answer to the question... ...than the ones already provided?

Baro' believes that anarchism is an inherently 'left' philosophy, that's all, instead of being inherently left/right agnostic. It isn't helped by most anarcho-capitalists relabelling themselves as 'Libertarians' .... Very few anarchists self identify as a Libertarian. I personally have only ever encountered one who does, and they do it for pragmatic reasons (as the word 'anarchist' has a lot of bad stigma associated with it, as yesterday's 'terrorist' was the 'anarchist') . I've little doubt there's others out there who do it for similar reasons, but it's far from the majority. Most anarchists I've met, seen, or read self identify as an anarchist or nothing at all.

Now that's a good question We need order and structure because many people are incapable of doing the right thing, like paying tax, unless they are forced to So governments represent a collective system that allows things to function like the maintenance of institutions, examples of these include healthcare and education, and without institutions you will have countries and there citizens living in a benighted state where they just don't progress That's one of the biggest failures in Africa, the failure to maintain institutions in both the private and public sector So paying tax to your overlord(s) is 'doing the right thing'? You choose 'paying taxes' of all the examples in the universe one could come up with as doing the right thing? And you need your overlords to make sure you pay taxes to them? There's some circular logic fail for ya. Also, paying taxes has as much to do with doing the right thing as God has to do with choosing and blessing monarch X that claimed 'divine right'. Taxes are a primary way a government is able to maintain institutions and invest in the growth of a country I don't consider the government overlords but the custodians of ensuring a country is functional What would be your suggestion for a government to generate revenue and before you answer that consider this, every single government in the world uses some form of tax system because taxes work and are relevant to what governments need The question wasn't how best to tax the serfs, it was 'why do you need someone to rule over you?'

What's the real difference anyways? Anarcho-Capitalist is pretty much Neo-feudalism. No, it isn't. Neo-feudalism is pretty much what we've got going on in much of the western world right now.

What's the real difference anyways? In a nutshell, there's a bunch of prissy nit folks who think they're anarchists who are essentially Marxist ideologues that hate capitalism who think that you can only be an anarchist if you adhere to their commie ways. They flip prissy nit nerd rage when anyone suggests one can be an anarchist and engage in types of economic activity that could be considered capitalism. No joke, some of the hardest retarded nerd raging I've seen on the internet is the Marxist leaning anarchists flipping out on non-Marxist leaning anarchists saying essentially 'You're not an anarchist!! ' as if it's some exclusive club. There are entire websites dedicated to this insane nerd raging. If you want to see some pure insanity, go find one of these websites, or just any website that preaches a Marxist idea of anarchy, sign into their forums and make a post saying essentially that 'Capitalism is good'. I'm not sure I know of a more stigmatized trigger word for a group of people than the word 'capitalism' for the group of anarchists out there that spend their life hating on it. It actually would probably be a troll's wet dream come true to post about capitalism in a positive light on on one of their forums, that is if you aren't just instabanned. Because of all of this some label folks who would prefer to live in a capitalist world sans government or any other ruling class as 'Anarcho-capitalists', and many commie leaning folks use the term in disdain. Most of these folks just call themselves Anarchists from what I've seen though. Note however that not all Anarchists that would prefer a commune type lifestyle are bat guano crazy and think being an anarchist requires adherence to their economic ideals and an ingrained hatred for capitalism. Most folks who self identify as an Anarchist are actually fairly intelligent and rational human beings in my experience, no matter what economy they'd prefer to partake in.

Yea.. except we don't know all the circumstances surrounding the event.

We don't discriminate in this thread. It's about all types of sausages.

The cat lady arbitrarily shut down a thread because she fails to see the natural connection between LGBT discussions and sausages. Unfortunate and somewhat mind-boggling even as there's so much relation between the two. And it's not like this connection isn't mainstream knowledge either. Last year a G pretending to be a T who called himself sausage won Eurovision. And just recently a bunch of big guys selling their sausages became LGBT activists in Indiana. I think the discussion about the connection between the LGBT movement and sausages should continue, if only just to educate the cat lady. Here's another interesting article on sausages within the LGBT community. http://lgbtweekly.com/2015/02/05/sm-is-all-about-experimentation/

So your ultimate nightmare would be Ronald McDonald with nukes and a fervent following? I must admit. That scenario has never crossed my mind until now, and it is quite troubling.

Ohh yeah, you are sooooo enlightened, not at all confused by the "politically correct" language that is designed to avoid alienating Muslims, and the fact of 'Islamist terrorism' that consumes that region, that us "bigots" seem to try to address. And in light of all the church burning and attacks on Christians in Africa, I'd wish there was less of the former whitewashing the issue and more of the later trying to promote religious tolerance in the Islamic world. Speaking of, I find the Egyptian president, El Sisi, recent actions encouraging. It might be just another streak of optimism, but for once it doesn't appear as pure lips service for the benefit of western audience. You assume much, and are wrong about much based on those assumptions. My post was a general comment on a dialogue that's gone on for quite some time on this forum, and reached a height earlier this year with the Charlie Hebdo fiasco. It was also a response directed at the person I replied to, based on their history of posts on the subject matter at hand and others. One may as well have used 'Black People kill 147 in Kenya' as the thread title, or 'Religious people kill 147 in Kenya', or 'Somalians kill 147 in Kenya'. The descriptive terminology used is misleading and done to incite or to serve to comfort the bigoted views oft expressed on this forum and throughout the modern western world, it has little to no relevance in regards to what actually happened in Kenya.

It saddens me also to imagine Sadimir Putin with empty plate before him. Do not be sad. Putin gets to feast on this sumptuous looking delicatessen. He eats well.
