Rosveen is right, there already are DLC's. And they will be - such time, such market. But what's more important I had last a quarrel with friend of mine. About DLC. He's saying (payable) DLC's are great - evryone can buy Vanilla and those who want can buy more extra things, that need more money to develop. I'm saying (payable) DLC's are stealing - they chop game and sell game as parts. But I think this is solely issue of money. He's earning ten times more than me. He can afford game fo $150 on launch and for me even $60 is too much. Anyway I like policies of such companies like Obsidian or CDPR who don't treat their clients like moneybags.

Your RPG system sucks!
Nanakamado replied to Halsy's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
I only wanted to say: I like the system It's so much better than D&D. And I like the combat it is not to hard, maybe sometimes there is to many creatures for game where there is no combat exp. But I prefer cRPG with easy fights and good story -
Wow! People what's Your problem with swearing. And this is not even first thread about it. Adult people swear it's absolutely normal. And when those people are some thugs, bandits or adventurers it's even more normal. About language in Witcher as a pole this game is vulgar as... You know what Maybe some words are stylized as medival but those are mostly contemporary words.

Well It's all about game style. I love stash (and my wife loves it even more she is get to each place in evry area and take evrything type of person). I understand fans of "realism". It's so much easier in PnP when GM can sit with players and talk if they want ultra realistic campaign or something where they can forget about paying in inn's or thinking about maximum load. Something immersive, like cart, mule or handfull of Patsys carring all the stuff could be Consensus (but as we know consensus worst solution for both sides of conflict). If I have to choose. I will leave stash as is.

Boxed Version DRM
Nanakamado replied to Skie Nightfall's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
As far as I know, there will be for example polish publisher. So why not in other countries. Of course in Poland digital market of video games is quite small, but still evrywhere are poeple who will be happy to have boxed version on their shelf. -
Save scumming
Nanakamado replied to HardRains's topic in Pillars of Eternity: Stories (Spoiler Warning!)
I think I agree with most of pro save scumming arguments (Well I didn't read few pages from this thread) Well... I'm playing cRPG's for it's story... A bit like some interactive book. Save/buckup points are good for action games. I'm interested in story, so I will reload x times to look how will NPC answer my questions, I'm not play this game 1000 times to check all the endings... When I want to play RPG with consequences etc. I'm calling my friends and we play some pen & paper RPG. -
InExile is plotting to ruin Torment by making it turn-based
Nanakamado replied to khango's topic in Computer and Console
Paradoxally combat system is important... The story was the most important part of P:T, that is fact. And now: TB means long tactical combat, which is sometimes more important than storyline. RTwP means fast combat, and then more storyline. I like TB combat, but I don't fell it's good for Torment.- 343 replies

Well great artworks except trolls.. As some people already said, they look not enough trolish to me... But they are d&d like, so I'm ok with them... And I'm a bit disappointed with delay of Backer Portal. And one more thing, by "after holiday brake" you mean Thanksgiving, not Christmass? It's a bit confusing for me, as an european, to hear about holiday brake in late november.

Character Creation- By the book or DIY?
Nanakamado replied to Kaftan Barlast's topic in Pen-and-Paper Gaming
Well playing D&D, Savage Worlds (well in SW book get as many options) and few first campaigns of each new system I do it by book. But for now in OWoD, L5R, Fadding Suns and some polish never-translated to english games most of characters are realy made by home rules. With D&D one exception is a Planescape campaign I'm running now. -
General idea is nice. I like such a complexity, but I don't like idea of stats being hidden. Also I think it's really important for aligment to be changing during the game.

Piracy and DRM
Nanakamado replied to Hormalakh's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
Well I feel bad. Beacuse I feel like you (especially Hormalakh and Monte Carolo, who I really find inteligent, nice people when I'm reading trough the forums) are saying "If you are anti-DRM, then you are pro-piracy". And I don't agree. In fact I don't really see any conection between DRM and fighting piracy. I can download any amount of new cracked DRM protected games and just play it. I'm not doing this (it's tempting of course), but it proves that DRM are in fact not working. If you ask how I know the way to pirate games? I was pirate, I admitt it, but I'm one no longer. But it really sucks, that when I was pirate I have no problems with DRM like stuff. And now it really bothers me why I have to have such problems with playing game that I paid for. Of course I will be fourius when I see someone pirating PE, and if it will be my close friend, I will just buy him a copy for birthday. But I don't think that DRM will stop piracy. -
Piracy and DRM
Nanakamado replied to Hormalakh's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
Well I backed P:E, beacuse I've seen that there will be GOG download and GOG download equals no DRM. I wouldn't have backed steam-only or DRM protected game. I was OK with some kind of anti-piracy protection as long as it was not very irritating. But now when we have steam and steam-like things that are big DRM's pretending to be some social media I'm in fact any DRM enemy. DRM are of course only burdensome for legitimate buyers, like all those not skipable ads and anti-piracy banners in movies,. Beacuse pirates have no DRM's. I watched some interview with CDPR CEO, and he said that Witcher's 2 DRM was broken day after launching the game (and from begining there was two versions with DRM and DRM free). -
Easter Eggs!
Nanakamado replied to NateOwns's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
Well in fact Forgotten Realms along with Sigil are part of Planescape universe. FR are one of the worlds of Planescape's Prime Material (if we talk about setting, not about publishing). -
Stealing Items
Nanakamado replied to Felithvian's topic in Pillars of Eternity: Stories (Spoiler Warning!)
I voted BG/P:T style. It's simple, classical and fun. And I don't like Osvir's idea: I like to control my whole party, all the time. One exception is: It could be interesting, but also extremely annoying, when used by enemies. So i'm not sure about it. -
Well, I'm okay as long as I get this game in 2014. I will be OK even if the finished game is not as one here said polished like a mirror, as long as there will be some pathes and upgrades after releasing product. I really like philospohy of those developers and publishers that, are supporting game long after release.

Easter Eggs!
Nanakamado replied to NateOwns's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
I hope there will be quite big number (but not to big) of easter eggs, but in fact for me number is depending on how serious will be finished game. P:T easter eggs will be nice, but not to much, this isn't D&D/Planescape multiverse at all. -
Meele Mages
Nanakamado replied to Incendium's topic in Pillars of Eternity: Stories (Spoiler Warning!)
I really like this idea. But I also have great memories of playing an fgt/wiz archer in D&D 3.5. A character who was upgrading his weapons himself. It could be quite interesting idea. As long as we have some trade system in which player could be some type of traveling merchant. -
Translations
Nanakamado replied to jerf's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
I voted for polish, but I'm ok with no translation if it means more in-game content -
It would be nice to have some witcher 1 like minor evil/major evil choices. But I hope P:E wouldn't be such dark. It's hard to play in world so close to our for longer time. So some good/evil choices would be good. Or even some good/good choices, beacuse "bad good" choice could be even more frustratin g than evil one. (For good PC of course).

Drugs
Nanakamado replied to Jojobobo's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
I think there should be drugs in game. It doesn't metter if they are everywhere, or only in very hidden places. And if there are drugs, there should also the most intensive healing potions have drug-like efect.
