  1. So how does Steam work? Is it always "on", running in the background even when your not playing whatever game that required it? Or is it an on/off service that is activated when you play the game in question but then turns off when you exit the game?
  2. Wait, the hounds are the ones that kill the foxes? Huh, I thought they just cornered the foxes then the guys on horseback came and shot them. Instead they are ripped to shreds by dogs? Nasty. Doesnt even sound like hunting, more sitting around drinking while your dog hunts for you. Obviously its not for the "sport" since the humans dont have anything to do with it.
  3. Thanks for the answers Taviow and WUE, that doesnt sound too bad. @Enoch: Wasnt that only for the DLC?
  4. So obviously that indicates the need for an always-on connection, right? It cant track you if it isnt on. Meh, this combined with the still present bad taste in my mouth from my bug riddled NWN II experience (which already had my sitting on the fence regarding this game) is almost a deal breaker for me. Guess Ill wait to see how it pans out. EDIT: Just saw your edit. Double meh. EDIT2: It doesnt address whether or not you will always have to be online to track achievements but there isnt any other way is there?
  5. Its not the DRM thats an issue, I really dont care about that, I just dont want unnecessary bloat on my PC. If it was simply the disk calling home upon the first install I would be cool with that but I dont need some third party crap monitoring my every move while playing. You know, so they can track my achievement for me.
  6. Does that mean even if I buy it from a store I will be forced to sign up for Steam? That sucks, Id rather not have that crap on my shiny new rig.
  7. Isnt there also one in BG II that will continue to spawn enemies until you reach the end of the tunnel?
  8. Well, yeah, but you have to get there by sea first if your coming from that direction. Hence their naval blockade.
  9. Huh? Havent you read the preceeding pages with links upon links of starving children and nuns? It could even be argued that Egypt is MORE responsible since far more goods can be carried over land then sea.
  10. Lol @ Iran "Revolutionary Guard" naval units. Unless they want to see what their ships look like on the bottom of the ocean I think they better go rattle their sabres at someone less capable then the Israelies. Also, Im curious, where is the rending of cloth and knashing of teeth over the fact that Egypt has maintained the land blockade of Gaza all these years? Oh right, they arent Israel.
  11. Knowing A semi interesting plot that throws up all over itself with f-ing
  12. That was badass.
  13. Yeah women always try to "fix" a guy. They cant help it, its in their DNA. On the bright side, you have company, a tidy home and someone paying half the bill. Once you get buff you can flex for her and woo her into her boudoir. Win win.
  14. Invisible enemies? What planet do you live on?
  15. Actually, Egypt has lifted their blockade but strangely the second floatilla is still heading toward Isreal. Weird huh? I wonder what could possibly be their motivation.
  16. As to the above sinkhole:
  17. Oh look, they're poking the lion with a stick again. Help me puzzle this out. If Egypt has opened their border to Palestine, why dont they just dock there and move the relief supplies that way? You know, to help their oppressed brothers.
  18. Per wiki, KMR is credited with: In addition, hes done a crapton of TV and movies. Source.
  19. Yeah, this is my Friday as I took the real Friday (tomorrow) off. Combined with Monday off for Memorial Day, I have a nice four day weekend to look forward to. Its only 09:37 and I've already got one foot out the door, mentally speaking.
  20. Hmm, I wonder if your power supply is going and the buzzing you hear over the speakers is some wierd electrical "noise".
  21. Ok, Im sure this is gonna sound more smart*** like then anything, but I dont mean it that way, if your not buying it, then why do you still come to the forum? (sorry I couldnt think of a way to ask that didnt come off kinda jerk-like) Well, seeing as Ive been coming here for over 6 years and only ever bought one of their games (NWN 2), I suppose its just curiosity. I guess since were going to be close personal friends you should also know I like pizza, whiskey and loose women.
  22. Heh, Im not his audience, Im not even buying the game. Just seems wierd to release it to everywhere EXCEPT North America. I mean, whats the possible point to that?
