Nah, weve got enough of our own oil now that we'll be an exporter soon. If not for stupidly propping up Israel we could just sit back and watch the eventual fireworks.

Eh, I don't really care if Assad is a good guy or not. Im all for bringing our mighty pimp hand to bear if it gains my country resources, but otherwise we should let them settle it themselves.

I play on MP8 and assuming this thread is accurate, tens of millions of HP per main boss and slightly lesser amounts for champion mobs.

I love my DH. Ive gone full crit stacking and with Sharpshooter fully charged I sit at 504k dps, with frequent crits over 1M. For maximum lulz, look into the Cluster Arrow with the Loaded for Bear skill rune.

Update #63: Stronghold!
Gfted1 replied to BAdler's topic in Pillars of Eternity: Announcements & News
This is how I see this issue. Eternity is not hack'n'slash, mate. The defeated foes, opened containers etc. will not throw up with whatever gold or gems or other treasures they have stored. Gold will not be laying around on the ground like sand on the beach. You want to loot something, then you just gotta do it the cklick-on-it-and-check-what-is-inside way. As a character, you will decide if you take all the content, or just pick some that you like and leave the unwanted trash. This is how it worked in all the games that devs are taking inspiration from (BG, IwD, P:T). So, even if there is a pile of gold on the floor left for a reason, it will not magically appear in your bag because of your immense force of magnetism or gravity or some other mojo. (note to self: magnetism spell, that would be interesting) Am I right, or am I right? That reminds me, I hope there's a "take all" option in addition to individually clicking items. I plan on vacuuming every item from every foe/container/laying around. Also, Id be thrilled for a console command list.- 455 replies

There's a tv show about it where they follow people (usually the catfish) and eventually arrange a live meeting. Interesting and sad.

I disagree. WWII allowed us to gain the military and technological advances that put us at the top of the food chain.

Update #63: Stronghold!
Gfted1 replied to BAdler's topic in Pillars of Eternity: Announcements & News
According to the below posts, the stronghold is not critical: As an aside, the SA Games forum is public at the moment, so the source of these is here. Hit the ¿ by each post to skip to it's place in the full thread.- 455 replies

There's still the damage type switch thing. It will haunt you forever. Even weapon group specialisations won't save you because they'll cover all damage types (why Josh, whyy? ). I want to pierce! Just pierce! Or just slash if slashing weapons are cooler. That I think I can deal with. Someone (Sawyer?) once mentioned that the BG series implemented the same type of system and TBH, I didn't even notice it in those games. As long as I can just equip my party members in their BiS gear and not have to worry about changing weapon sets, then Im cool with the system.

Update #63: Stronghold!
Gfted1 replied to BAdler's topic in Pillars of Eternity: Announcements & News
The bottomless bag doesn't really bother me either. D3 has made me accustomed to picking up everything yellow and above (hey, I need the gold yo), so to me PE will become a similar reflex of looting everything for resale and upkeep of my pimp stronghold. I do think its a bit humorous that in stomping out the scourge of people walking back and forth they will either break the economy or be forced to install another "fix" of devaluing everything you try to sell. Also, I hope we can pick up gold just by running over/near it.- 455 replies

^No, sometimes tough love is in order. Constantly caving to my daughter only emboldened her more.

Ive never played Mega Man either. Looks like an Inspector Gadget type concept.

Update #63: Stronghold!
Gfted1 replied to BAdler's topic in Pillars of Eternity: Announcements & News
I don't think breaking the economy is a concern of theirs. Case in point, the bottomless inventory. When they created that they didn't feel that collecting everything to sell was degenerative, instead the walking back and forth to collect everything (due to bag capacity limitations) was degenerative. Go figure.- 455 replies

Many years of WoW raiding made my wife accustomed to me disappearing for hours on end. No worries here. -
Puhlease, the Russian navy would be swept from the sea in days. Maybe Oby can link a picture of some WWII carrier burning and try to pass it off as Russia sinking something. Aside, I found it interesting that the four countries represented on the map all have red, white and blue flags, just in different orientations.

Tried to purchase the "SAS Survival Handbook" mentioned in another thread from the iBooks store but they only offer the "Urban Survival" version. Meh. Of course, I should probably rethink my priorities if Im trying to buy a survival book on a medium that requires power.
