Right or wrong, I absolutely use Metacritic as a contributing factor in deciding to buy a game. If its 80 or below I wont even bother reading the game description.

Heh, I sometimes wonder about the 99% of backers that don't frequent the forum are going to react. I think a lot of backers simply took the "IE experience" at face value and while we can do a bunch of mental gymnastics to point out this or that feature, at the end of the day it doesn't feel IE-like to me. Were going to need more moderators in a few months...

Interesting. I haven't tried that tactic but I assume that all the stun spells / abilities are on a "per encounter" setup? Then you just mow down the entire mook party while they are stunlocked?

I greatly dislike wacky made up languages (usually with too many vowels). My brain cant be bothered trying to figure it out so I just make up some close approximation of what the word should be and then forevermore mispronounce it. Seriously, if it looks like Welsh or has too many accents / umlauts, then you're doing it wrong.

95% of incoming attacks will cause some damage, of which 25% is Health damage. How are you attacking differently to prevent that?

I would have assumed that changing basic gameplay / class functions would introduce new bugs. Seems silly to waste time and resources fixing mechanics that (may) be replaced.

Does Sensuki get experience for his successful sneaking attempt? I don't think the quest has been completed yet but when it is he will... Whoa whoa guys, tap the brakes. Nobody told Sensuki to look for those audio files, so as we all know, its as worthless as fighting beatles.

I equip my Mage or Rogue with a ranged weapon, shoot a mook, and then run behind my Paladin and BB Fighter. Once everyone has dogpiled into the center I just autoattack until its over. Occasionally Ill use Knockdown but I get an annoying sound effect loop when I use it so its very rare, only when I get bored watching the autoattack. I try to position the Rogue to do Roguey things while Knockdown is in effect but Im not sure if anything is working. I'll sometimes try to use that Paladin ability that adds 1 BILLION percent damage but its only good for one round (?) and I cant determine if Im supposed to activate the ability, wait for a round and then attack or if Im supposed to activate the ability and then target the mook for it to work. Too many slight variants of the caster class spells usually means I wind up using none of them.

It looks like it could incorporate two checks? I kept failing the "climb down while carrying the egg" portion, which makes sense since I usually only put 10 in Con. Although, BB Fighter also fell on the climb down, but Im not sure what his Con score is.

I was under the impression that the higher difficulty levels simply generated higher rank / more mooks. Have you noticed a difference in enemy tactics (the bum rush) or gameplay speed when you play the higher difficulty levels?

^True dat. Well, besides ease (I was playing on Easy), it was more convenient for me to just autoattack. Things were too close to AoE and even though I like to micro the party, I found the pace too fast and requiring too many pauses and updates to bother with the abilities (although Id like to buy the guy/gal that created the Rogue teleport a beer). Theres a lot of things I hope shape up in Beta v2.

Will PoE feature Romance or Kill XP? (I kid) What attribute / skill is checked when attempting to retrieve the dragon egg?

That's a bit of a double edged sword to me. No, I don't think ~200 poll results should represent the majority. On the other hand, I feel that people that take the time to register an account and take place in the discussions clearly have a more passionate relationship to the product and perhaps their thoughts would carry a little extra weight. Not necessarily that Obs would rework major systems, but not complete derision to the concerns either.

Whaaaaa? You can use the grapple hook and rope to get the egg? I was never given a choice other than who should physically climb up. Everyone made it up but everyone fell while climbing down with the egg.
