  1. In an objective based reward system, how do two opposing objective work themselves out? Say objective one is "Clear the cave." and the other is "Clear the cave for farmer Bob". If you complete the first one then naturally the other one is redundant. Since apparently Fallout did this, what happens to the path not taken? It just never comes up I assume? If you did one, the second will never be presented to you, right? Do both solutions then offer the exact same rewards and xp?
  2. I was thinking something similar but doesn't it seem like a lot of extra work to program for every possible approach?
  3. Im interested to see how "objective based xp" will work in an open world system. In a game like SRR its no problem. Its very linear and you are guided from location to location. The devs can easily reward at and everyone will be at exactly the anticipated level at the anticipated location. With a game like PoE where one of the pillars is "exploration" I cant quite wrap my head around how it will work. For example, lets ay Im out bushwacking and I come across 3-4 little lizard dudes standing outside a cave entrance. I kill them and enter the cave. A few chamber in and I encounter a immature Wyrm, which I kill and loot for its scales. I leave and a little while later I encounter a farm. Farmer Bob wants me to go kill a Wyrm that's been stealing his sheep. What happens here? Does my journal auto-update because the Wyrm is already dead? Does the farmer quest cease to exist and instead I was awarded some random "Clear the cave of Wyrms" journal entry and xp at the time I killed the Wyrm? As an aside, I really dislike when a quest completes that I didn't even know I was doing. Anyway, will be interesting to see how it works out.
  4. I see... But not to worry, the value of loot has been nerfed to the ground so the developers could kill the monster they just created (carrying unlimited loot). So we have that going for us.
  5. The unlimited inventory was specifically designed to allow players to literally "loot everything in sight" without the "inconvenience" of having to walk back and forth to do so.
  6. But these are exceptions that are easily remedied. No doubt its the easier approach. Imo, developers shouldn't waste time programming around a very small percentage of gamers that "cants helps themselves" from breaking the game...for themselves. That's why we wind up with things like restricted resting, no kill xp, unlimited inventory, etc...
  7. My grandmother waged war with grasshoppers. Every day she would walk around her house patrolling her rose bushes, and whenever she would encounter one she would calmly take her shoe off and beat it to death.
  8. Why does killing every creature break the game? Aren't they all hand placed and finite? If you know EXACTLY the number of mooks and EXACTLY the XP rewards for each, how do you fail to balance the game appropriately? Are we pretending the developers forgot to do the math? Also, why doesn't stealthing or diplomating just flag them as unkillable? Thus removing the scourge to all gaming that are the 0.5% of single player gamers that that will stealth/diplomat and then go back and kill everything.
  9. Wait, how would you even know that you left one single monster alive in the corner of some cave way back at the beginning?
  10. Have you completed the Pledge Management process?
  11. That looks awesome, enjoy your vacation. Im totally not jealous at all.
  12. Bummer, the previews looked entertaining. Can you [spoiler tag] for me what powers she got when she reached 100% capacity?
  13. I don't even know his first name.
  14. ^That's a 50% mockup. When completed it will carry 3 x M1 Abrams and a Humvee.
  15. Log into Origin, go to "My Account", choose "Redeem Product Code".
  16. Doesn't the Fighter have a taunt-like ability (maybe Hold the Line?) that would have that effect? Maybe it was activated in those examples?
  17. Is he bringing down a Star Destroyer with the Force?!
  18. ^Done and done. Thank you good sir.
  19. Afaik, there are only three weapon damage types (I could be wrong). The other effects you mention are enchants that can be added to any weapon so they would not require their own slot. I hadn't considered ranged, dual wielding, etc... though so that's a good point.
  20. Really? I thought the base is 2. Maybe the character raised the number with talents. When he equips the second axe on the Barbarian you can see sets III and IV below. Youre probably right about the talents adding more but Im still curious why you would ever need four. There are only three damage types, right? Or am I mistaken?
  21. Four weapons sets? Interesting considering there are only three weapon damage types (slash, crush, pierce)?
  22. TBH, I don't know if the West Bank is blockaded. I assumed so since you always hear about how the Palestinians are forced to live in squalor, cant get stuff, etc...
