"The boat, with 222 rooms, has been refurbished since it was criticised as an "oppressive environment" when the Dutch government used it for asylum seekers. Bibby Marine, which owns the barge and will lease it to the government, said there was a laundry and a canteen on board - and all the rooms have a window, bed, desk, storage and en-suite." Sounds pretty nice to me. We should float a whole bunch of them of the coast of San Francisco and Portland to help out the homeless.

The near future is going to be very interesting as drones become smaller and more swarm coordinated. I love the Trophy system (Trophy (countermeasure) - Wikipedia) for conventional AT weapons, but something like the Stryker Leonidas (Stryker Leonidas – General Dynamics Land Systems (gdls.com)) will need to be incorporated into armored brigades to handle the drones. Imo, lasers arent the answer. Maybe for ballistic/supersonic/cruise missiles, but not for drone swarms.

We did our taxes yesterday and got back a decent return. I was feeling froggy so I was going to upsize my gold purchase to a 2g bar, but then I notice a small link: "$500.00 minimum order in effect" due to some bank collapse, and now I couldnt buy it because it costs less than $500.00 and I didnt feel like spending that much. Goddamnfatcats!

Cinema and Movie Thread: flickering images
Murder Mystery We watched it in anticipation of Murder Mystery 2 releasing today and it was pretty funny. I enjoy most of Sandler's movies and Aniston is still a total smokeshow. She must live in a hyperbaric chamber while not out and about because she hasnt aged in 25 years.

What are you Playing Now? It's not how you play the game, it's how you place the blame
Blizzard has always been pretty solid for me. I mean, I think I remember getting stuck in a queue when Cataclysm dropped (holy moly theres 6 mores expansions after that! Sometimes I really want back in. ) and maybe a disconnection here or there. I think people object to the principal more than the performance.

See! California is right! We all need UBI (I can settle for less than $5M) and UFH ($1 houses). Im particularly interested to see what happens in the housing option. All the homes are already owned by fatcats, so unless more land rises from the Pacific ocean or San Francisco Bay, then they are going to have to seize the properties of the existing owners to redistribute them to the needy. Probably have to go full on eminent domain on their asses and give them pennies on the dollar of its worth. Hahahahaha, suck it, fatcats.
