Joe was saying that Marvel could not publish a series starring a gay character without it being labelled a MAX - the same label used for comics featuring extreme swearing, extreme violence and explicit nudity. Thats just rubbish, MAX comics arent more explicit than the average hollywood film. But I think that its a great hypocrisy to brand the same type of story to be "Rated R" when its heterosexual counterpart is considered PG13. It is understandable though, Marvel probably dont want the Christian right on their trail.

Do not buy from IKEA: -Chairs -Lamps -Tables -Anything that will be used/sat upon Ok to buy: -Cupboards -Cabinets -Closets IKEA stuff is ok for things you just use to store stuff in and that can be painted or otherwise covered up to hide the cheap masonite+fan

We shouldnt forget that the UN is not an independant body capable of arbitrary action. Most of its failiure to act is because one or more of the members vetoed the resolution or kept it from ever reaching the voting chamber in the first place,

They're not worse, theyre just as bad as NWN1 and the KoTORs. I know its easy to forget it if you play alot or Aurora games, I didnt realise until a friend of mine asked me if his GFX was broken because KoTOR stuttered so much. Theres ws nothing wrong with the hardware, just the way the engine handles switching between animations.

Wakey pakey, Gabs! Youve been here too long not to know this Theyre using Electron, which is completely new to about 90%. Unfortunantly, what it does retain from Aurora is the combat mechanics and animations which seem to give it that same jerky, ultra-low-fps feeling. One thing I notice is that the PC has no in-between animations for going from standing completely still to walking or running. It looks a bit strange, it just hops from one animation straight to another

Im playing the original now but its scary because the FAQs say SPQR and the other two houses will declare war on you, resulting in the civil war once you control 25 provinces. But I nabbed 27 and they didnt do diddley squat.. so now Im fearing Ill have 40 legions of Praetorians knocking down my door when I least expect it What do you have to do to trigger the civil war?

The only thing which concerns me is that they still dont seem to have gotten the "clunkiness" out of whats left of Aurora. I suppose its due to the realtime-turnbased mechanics behind it but every animation seems to be really jerk and start-stop. Not even walking or even scrolling the camera is flowing smoothly.

When you use a heightmap* to contruct the landscape, you tend to get these very smooth hills and valleys. Soil errosion emulation is something Bethesda invented to get more rocky, jagged surfaces on mountains etc. * A heightmap is a greyscale image that you use to make the engine distort a flat piece of 3D ground. Grey areas will not be effected at all, but white ares will generate hills and black valleys. The whiter/blacker an area of the image is, the higher/lower the terrain will be simple example.
