Chinese foreign media filtering
Well, the purpouse of repression is to protect the minority of the oppulent from majority of the masses. And religious opression worked like a charm for the Catholic church didnt it? "

There were even stronger social and liberal movements back in 1979, but the Islamists still seized power and put the smackdown on anyone who opposed them. The Theocracy is still as powerful as ever and I dont see any way it could change in this generation.

China is too big to become another North Korea, Iran on the other hand will most likely become increasingly fascist until a revolution or invasion puts a stop to it.

Dungeons and Dragons 4e
Well, if you think 3.5 or even AD&D is fine, then youve got no reason to ever buy a new system. Here in Sweden, most people still play "Drakar och Demoner"* from 1991 even though there have been 4 new editions since then. * Its a game of its own and not a translation of D&D, they did choose the similar name to cash in on the hype though. The first editions (1982) was a translation of Chaosiums Basic Role-Playing, it then grew into something completely different

AI Accelerator
People often make it out to be harder than it is. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Its writing thousands upon thousands of If X=1, then Y Else... lines that I dont consider to be all that amusing to do. Granted, Im not a programmer

PhysX Performance Update
I remember getting a math processor for my 386 33 mHz SX. It was just a chip you put in a socket that was already there on the motherboard

Happy Birthday Star Trek!!
I enjoyed it because it was the classic Star Trek concept of a lone ship on adventures in space. I did like the doctor though, but I found Tom Paris and Neelix quite annoying. Sometimes I think they create annoying characters on purpouse just so we'll watch the shows hoping they will meet with some gruesome fate.

Really bad sign for games coming from Atari
It is added during the last staages of development and the mastering process. One part which installs itself in your computer like a rootkit comes with the installer and the active "control" part which checks that youre using an original disc is added to the main *.exe file. What you do when you crack a CP is remove the installer so you wont install the rootkit using your cracked disc, and then you try to separate the CP code from the program code in the *.exe file which is the trickiest part. There can also be other CP code hidden within the program in other places than the *.exe file Inbroad terms..

Happy Birthday Star Trek!!
Voyager was almost as good as TNG, I dont think Ive missed more than 10 episodes during the whole 7 seasons. Still, black vulcans? What's next, asian klingons?

Happy Birthday Star Trek!!
Of course it counts silly man. DS9 is the best series of them all. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> DS9 violates the most basic premise of the Star Trek concept; a lone spaceship boldly going where no man has gone before. It sucked, just like Babylon 5 sucked.

Happy Birthday Star Trek!!
Who is this mysterious Sisko? Just so you know, anything DS9 doesnt count.

Happy Birthday Star Trek!!
So.. who is the best Captain? Kirk, Picard, Janeway or that guy from Quantum leap? I say Jean-Luc Picard all the way. He's both wise, clever and handsome plus he was in Dune which is an awesome film (the books suck)

ATi X1950XT
Nothing is certain when it comes to the next generation of GFX cards. Ive read that ATI are experimenting with 65nm chips ( http://www.nordichardware.se/nyhet,10583.html ) but the truth behind that is questionable. Helo Windows Vista. Goodbye freedom.

ATi X1950XT
While ATI's R600 will be 65nm and support Unified Shaders... it's not looking good for nVidia.

ATi X1950XT
That's not good news, my 7900GTX pulls close to 90watt at peak and I can just barely make do with my 380w PSU. Although power consumption was overeresimated with the GF6 and 7. Does anyone know if the Gf8 will use 90nm or if Nvidia will go lower?

Oblivion
Im an aspiring game developer, I have to know that a STR of 13 will enable you to pick the "Power Attack" feat which leads to "Cleave" " But seriously, what I was talking about is the lack of ability to express your character through real dialogue options and to be able to solve quests in multiple ways.

Oblivion
Im more inclined to believe it is a deliberate design choice by Bethesda to cut down on the roleplaying elements because they think combat/loot/exploring is more important.
