  1. I agree completely with the poster. Having a satisfying ending is Storytelling 101, yet most games fail miserably at this. When you think about it, most doesnt actually have a decent beginning/setup either but rather consist of just the middle part. Here's an interesting read:
  2. The separation of church and state is one of the fundamental principles of democracy. To have a man in office who makes decisions not based on rational thought supported by a thorough understanding of the consequences, but by superstitious belief, is to severely compromise democracy. To let religion influence the electorial proccess is equally bad because it also runs against the principles of democracy in the worst possible way. You dont let companies threaten or punish employees who dont vote like the management wants them to, but its tolerated when a preacher tells his audience that a vote for a liberal is a vote for satan.
  3. And theres no shortage on that, so, it would be very effective.
  4. And I justheard that the comming version 5 of VMware might be able to fully virtualize WinXP on any MacOS or Linux system with full system performance and minimal "weight" from running it virtualised. What that means is that youll no longer need a dual-boot setup to play games or run windows-only apps
  5. There was no sarcasm to detect, you dirty Finn. Admit that you meant it until my superior trolling skills made you look like a little wuss, at which point you flip-flopped and claimed it was a joke... hah!
  6. Especially since Macintosh were responsible for some of the most atrocious OS's in history before they gave up trying to make something of their own and just slapped a user-friendly GUI on a BSD derivate.
  7. Ive got a friend who does the same thing and also run XP on Vista with VMware. VMware lets you run XP in a virtual machine and thus, every program that is supported by XP. Its great
  8. Thats really not healthy, one redbull is ok but they do things to your system. Theyre water-whatever so you end up peeing out every bit of fluid in your body so you get dehydrated not to mention the diahorrea
  9. I wont be getting Vista until I cant run the software I need on XP anymore. I love the look of Vista, but its bloated and the copy-protections built into it scare me.
  10. Rainbow Six Vegas... easily the best shooter all categories since I dont know when. Ive been playing for an hour and it just makes me want to run over to all my friends and scream at them to try it. Killing people have never felt so good
  11. I dont have an "F-tax certificate" so I cant deduct the trip, and Im very skeptical about spending every last bit of money I have Still, its the place to be.. and maybe Id get to have a few pints with some interesting people aswell )
  12. Ive got a friend at a swede studio and he cant go this year so he offered me to go in his place. The problem is that Im swedish and the whole thing is going to cost me around
  13. Dont buy "Star Wars: Lethal Alliance" its crap for the DS, but somewhat playable on the PSP if your standards are low enough
  14. So thats why I saw a HD-DVD film on a torrent site the other day. Its beyond naive of the large corporations to believe that they can produce a technology that cannot be hacked. Also, most DRM's just end up causing more trouble for the legitimate user than the pirate
  15. Well, the stock clock is power applenty.. we rendered our animatics at Uni tonight and my rig only took 4minutes to render what took the others 15+ )
  16. We tried to watch a DivX film on a friends computer the other day and Vista made it all pixelated, like a VGA-effect. My friend claimed it was due to the ATI drivers but I havent seen anything like it before, and Vista has an image-degradation as part of its many DRM schemes
  17. How much can you safely overclock it with just the stock cooler?
  18. I cant say for certain, but I dont think the Oblivion engine can handle maps of real-world size. So the wasteland is likely to be a "country in a pocket" miniland like Cyrodil. But since that wouldnt make sense in a game like Fallout, they might use the classic setup with areas on a worldmap instead
  19. Since Oblivion was released for the 360 and FO3 will use the same engine, why WOULDNT it be released on the 360 aswell? This doesnt even qualify as news. Also, FO3 will be an RPG/FPS "oblivion with guns", and what worries me is to my knowledge, Bethesda has never done an FPS before. We Swedes are very particular about our FPSs and if they muck it up... Ill cry
  20. Morphine > Marijuana Re-Legalize Laudanum!!! *shakes fist*
  21. Im being Patriotic and playing GhostRecon:Advanced Warfighter (its made in Sweden by Grim)
  22. Our showcase computer at Uni has a 30" widescreen monitor. Its so awesome I think Ill steal it someday if I cant stop myself. You can have three applications running next to eachother with a wee bit to spare for MSN etc. on the side. problem is that you cant play games on it. you have to set everything down to be able to run it in 2560x1600 and then all the flaws and jaggies really show because its so damn big.
  23. They've hired Craig Mullins for concept work.. oooh, he's the most expensive in the bussiness. Flashy!
