  1. Most are just a case of following the dialogue. Bao Dur is difficult because he can only be influenced by events. On Dxun - Save the trapped Mandalorian Iziz - Give the guy in the cantina an open visa so he can complete his mission for the republic. Nah Shada - Have him check your work on the airspeeder Dantooine - Have him in your party when you enter the Kinrath caves and after talking to the guy near the crashed speeders. When you find what is there let the guy have them for the original price. There is more than enough there to turn him into a Jedi and have him reveal what happened to Malacor V. Mira - you need to take her back to the place on Nar Shada where you heard the planet (which is just outside the entertainment district). Atton can be tough or easy it depends how you answer when your on the Harbinger. NEVER use the persuade option with him or it will drop his influence (I was never able to get him to speak to me after that except to play Pazzak). You need to meet the Twileks on Nar Shada in order to get him to open up fully. After that he's ready to train. (if you mean a FULL list like step by step leave a message and I'll try to get around to it).
  2. You might find one on her corpse that matches yours.. Or you may not.
  3. The max dex bonus is how bulky the armour is. Even if you have 20 dex +5 in Mandalorian armour you still only get the base armour because it has a dex bonus of +0. With no armour/robes you always get your max dex bonus.
  4. Jedi are just super powerful. It's like having a fighter/magic user/cleric all rolled into one with none of penalties and all the classes at level 20. As KOTOR was exactly the same the only real solution is to re examine and rewrite the rules.
  5. Yes set the AI to stationary it's really easy to do. Helps if you equip them with ranged weapons first of course. It really depends how you want to deal with the mines. There is the slow go solo mode go stealth disarm method. Or there is the destroy droid and blow the mines up method. Disarming while slow is worth a ton of XP overall. Or post having Mira simply set her as leader and you can all charge through mines as much as you like without setting them off.
  6. No if it was left out it was done for a reason. Just because bits of unused material are left over does not make it the real ending. It may have been an ending that was started and abondoned for whatever reason. So rather the question should be should the ending you could cobble together from left over files be restored because it has no legitimacy as the real ending because you dont know if it was or not.
  7. Did you honestly not see right through KOTOR ? By the time the plot twist came around I'd accumulated enough in character evidence to figure it out. What REALLY annoyed me is I couldnt question Bastila about it. But rather had to play ignorant until the game thought I was ready.
  8. I love that line.
  9. He said IF you find Revan he didnt send you to look for him. Thats probably something for KOTOR III I would imagine to tie up the trilogy. The lightsaber feat is called telekinetic combat (in case you were wondering) I found it quite funny since only having one hand she was using a single all through the game. It was like "Ha I've got a few tricked up my sleeve". I'm in absolute agreement with the ending cinemtaic I thought you had to sit through the credits to see it or something (wouldnt be the first time).
  10. I'd have to agree with that 100% (except I havnt seen any bugs but I've got the boxy version). Even on my fourth game I still managed to find lots of new and significant things I'd missed before by having Bao Dur with me on Dxun.
  11. You have to wonder about that Mandalore will never willingly remove his armour.
  12. That never used to bother Troika. Oh thats right they went out of business because no publishers wanted to get shafted by their incompetance. "
  13. It's the way of the Sith.. She tells you how she trained Revan , how Revan later sought her out at Malacor V and how he returned there before going off to fight the unknown war. I think that she is the one that the Jedi mean when they say they have only cut one person off from the force before (although it could be Revan it dosnt really fit that they would then retrain him). Visiting her as a Jedi always made me feel like I was going to headmistres' office... Actually its well worth playing at least once as DS because you will get a whole new range of dialogue options. Be sure to take force dominate for even more of them. Most of them will tell you the same sort of things but from their own perpectives of course. It's hard to find a universal truth in KOTOR II.
  14. A lot depends on which order you take the planets in. Vrook was lethal the only way to beat him for me was to afflict him "Ha save against that then" which gave me a good head start over him. Then zap him so he was always healing then it was just attrition on whether I ran out of force points before he died. You can hide behind a pot plant , but thats kinda cheap. But if you dont have another save it does let you carry on with the game at least.
  15. Well the games already cheesed at that point since I killed Malak before the cutscene played. Plus the only way they could stop you killing him at that point was by CHEATING and paralysing you with no saves, paying no attention to your equipment or class (sentinels cant be stunned and or paralysed so I just call Malak a cheating piece of excrement and Bioware a bunch of hacks). Since they are breaking the rules of reality in order to get their half assed story out. Your WRONG game rules are reality. Try using force wave before level 15, cant right. Why because the games rules are your reality. Try walking through a wall, nope cant do that either because the game rules are your reality and a million other things that I cant be bothered to type. What happens in game is dictated by those rules and thats reality. If you never leveled up you would die a long time before you ever got to the end and thats reality your not protected by some grand destiny because of who you are. And that is reality. Films are not games. They are not relevent to what happens in games , same with books. Writing that ignores reality is not good writing. Umm you still havnt answered my question either is that because you cant answer it or because you dont want to answer it ?
  16. Only battles which involve your party. When Mira kills Hanhar it dosnt matter because you never know Hanhars capabilities anyway. Scripted battles are fine for people not in your party. If you want a space battle with a set outcome then there is no problem. If you want a space battle with a set outcome that involves you then you need to be involved. Like the battle over Dxun. You could flee to the planet or you could fight. The outcome was the same but you got to give it your best shot and during that battle the ship will get hit at least once. Which enough for the two realities to not be odds. Sure it is, your not some super powerful entity you dont hold the only weapon capable of inflicting the killing blow. So there is no reason why anyone else with the same abilities cant do what you do. Mandalore killed Nihilus in one my games he got in the last blow. It didnt make any difference to the story. The writer should be paying attention to what the rules are reflecting or they should be writing books not games. If you can only tell your story by ignoring reality then your either poor writer or your in the wrong career and should be writing books. You still havnt answered that important question which is would you be happy if you got to the end of the game and just died (regardless of your previous actions) just because the writer thought it was a good idea ?
  17. The end just flet like the Star Forge really. All it really needed was a scene to tie up lose up ends. For the Exile to say. "I created Malachor V this is my fight"! "Take what you have learned from me and teach others" "Rekindle the Jedi flame my friends, where I go you cannot follow". Then he turns with a flourish and boards the Ebon Hawk. Folowed by T3 and not noticing the stealthed figures of GOTO and Mira. Everyone waves Haindmaiden can just be seen with moist eyes and Vissas lowers her head to hide her tears. (Thats my LS interlude I pop in before the ship departs for M5). Yes the combat is easy. But so was KOTOR. You do have the ability to make it even easier here because of the craft system though.
  18. Hanhar is insanely lethal even more so than the Jedi. It took him about 5 minutes to totally clear the ubese out of the base and didnt need to heal once. He's just scary even my consular wouldnt have been able to take him if he made his initial saving throw. It was fun having him crawl around on the floor like a dog though.
  19. Bao Dur actually has tons to say. I took him with me to Dxun and he's got all sorts of dialogue that I havnt seen before. It's also priceless when he lets rip at Mandalore. By having with me on Dxun and following the lightside path he was ready for Jedi training by the time it was time to flee Iziz. The influence system is brilliant but it needs tweaking. It's a lot better than that spoonfeeding per level stuff from KOTOR. Getting that rebublic guy an open visa will net you some influence too. So he likes machines - influence for machine related stuff like the airspeeder He likes helping the republic And he likes you sticking up for the underdog. IF you have high enough influence you may be able to blow up M5 He tells you that he built the device and you gave the order to use it. Which makes you responsible for the death of millions and explains why you carry the pain of a planet because you "killed" it. That comes after you get more influence above training him to be a Jedi.
  20. I LOVE the bit with HK 47 in KOTOR II where he's commenting on his former companions it's priceless. Atton Kreia - her voice actress was incredible Canderous so far cant get Mandalore to say two words. Mira Mission shes still my favourte overall NPC.
  21. It's a sense of anticlimax I think. He's killed a planet, Vissas wont take you to him until you are ready (when in fact you could probably kill him right after you meet her) He looks imposing but he's a wuss (bit more fun with a stock saber though). And a lot of people dont like the fact he leaves a lot of unanswered questions. He's kinda like the briefcase in pulp fiction.
  22. It looks like they got rid of it There are some other quick travel methods like the airspeeder and the mandalorian scout but I missed it for a while.
  23. They are only invincible because the story makes them that way. This is a game. If you kill them by the rules they are dead it's that simple. They are not special in a game. Your character WILL die if you dont play them right and although you can reload thats just to save people starting over. Atton was in the same league as you. So care to explain why you could kill them in 2 rounds tops while he couldnt do the same with the exact same stats and equpment ? Save the whole he isnt a main character stuff thats irrelevent in a game.
  24. Nope your wrong , totally wrong couldnt be more wrong if you tried. What I want is a story that RESPECTS the reality of the game not just makes stuff up because the writer thinks its a good idea. If Atton sacrificed himself on Koriban so you could escape, that would respect the reality of the game. He's buying you time to get away. You know you cant defeat Sion at that point your not strong enough, and neither his he. But he's doing it so you can continue. That works both as a story element and it also respects the reality of the reality of the setting. If you are in the end game and he gets killed by Sio with his AC in the 50's and a lightsaber that can cut a banther in half. Then 5 minutes later you arrive and kill Sion with 1 critical strike, chat repeat till dead and he dosnt even get to hit you. Well there's something wrong there. Your character isnt special, your character isnt much tougher than Atton and the only reason Atton died is because the writer thought hey thats a great idea (but luckily someone thought otherwise). Which makes the whole death cheap and meaningless. Not to mention cheesey and unrealistic. Like I said before would you be happy if you got to the end boss and just died? Think about it.
