  1. If you fix it up you can zoom around without having to go through the central hub. It seems to have some effect on the slaver scene because I couldnt get it to trigger until I actually walked towards the refugee sector (something that you dont do with the airspeeder). After the slavers it gets vandalised whether or not you fixed it.
  2. Yes there are tons of them. "Look at the size of that thing". The Handmaiden and the PC sparring.:D
  3. The meeting should trigger within a couple of minutes of getting rid of the slavers.
  4. LA have no incentive to do anything. They will be focusing on EPIII and the things that go along with it to meet the movie release. Most people here own KOTOR they also own KOTOR II so all they would be getting is KOTOR II with a different ending. Add to that the complication and expence of rehiring the VOT. It's not as simple as you think it is. The ending may have been weak, but I've still played the game far more than some games with really strong endings so overall I'm satisfied with my value for money. I certainly wouldnt feel compelled to buy the same game just to have a different ending.
  5. Waste of time. KOTOR is already a budget release by the time your year and half elapses the next gen consoles will have hit the market. KOTOR II will be a budget release at that point as well. So your expecting people to pay 60$ for a 2 year old game and a year old game. Unless you have the sort of mystique that Sqenix has with FF it wont be profitable. Best thing for Obsidian to do is to learn from this. I have my own theory on why the end was cut which has nothing to do with time.
  6. It means it always absorbs 5 points of sonic damage. (the /- is a bit redundant but in D&D it's usually a +X which can bypass the defence).
  7. Which planet do you normally do first ? First game I did Dantooine as it seemed the logical place to find lightsaber parts. However a neat little trick for getting an early saber is. Go to Nar Shada Break into Vogga's treasure room. Help or kill the guy who is looking for his wife Then complete your saber. When you meet Visis then , rather than getting a component you get a nice shiny working saber of a random colour. If you do Nar Shada and already have a saber you should find a complete one in Voggos treasure room.
  8. Oh sorry it's called Force Affinity looks like a big purple circle. increases power regen 50% and adds 3 points (think its 3) to your powers. There is also a feat which ups your regen rate (just look through the feat list when you level up). Likely that you already have that one as it has a level 4 prerequiste.
  9. Atton is very easy or very hard depending on how you handle the initial dialogue on the Harbinger and the knowledge he has Echani training. Screw those up and it's an uphill struggle. Handmaiden is all about how you do while sparring. When she's in her undies put on some clothes and suggest she gets dressed (I know it's hard to do ) T3 is really easy to influence you just have to treat him like a "person" and appreciate him. HK you really dont have a chance unless your DS. I got all fuzzy when he called me a walking random cruelty generator. Killing innocents, force pursuading people to walk off Nar Shadar , that sort of thing. How did you manage to awaken Bao Dur ? I've played 3 times and I still cant get the influence needed Thinking it may be the planet order maybe. SPOLIER ALERT.... You can also pick up an item which will radically change his personality and also get his views on love.
  10. Talk to the Duros on the desk at hanger bay 3.
  11. Not really a suprise as you said you were playing darkside somewhere else..
  12. No idea then I'm afraid. I know you get teleported around quite a bit in that quest but after you meet and all hell breaks loose in the Cantina it should be a run for the starport.
  13. Have you met with Kavar yet ?
  14. Talk to the little bat like thing in the entertainment district. He will tell you your status with the exchange.
  15. You wont notice till you play both anyway.
  16. Looks like you missed the subtlties. Starting to see why you are such a Bioware fanboy now :D
  17. They definately dont say the same things. You can influence them negatively too.
  18. I found that by traveling around in the airspeeder the cutscene wouldnt play. What you have to do is walk around for a bit the scene triggered for me after going to the refugee sector (just before the screen changed). After the slavers attack the ship and you leave again a new scene should play within a minute or two.
  19. What are you going on about ? The NPCs alignments will change to reflect yours. Except for Kreia who will remain where she is from start to finish.
  20. Darth Traya is the Betrayer.
  21. Mandalore is pretty easy to read. It's not likely you will get much out of him unless you are a Sith or Grey Jedi though. Bao Dur is just very hard to read. It's obvious that he's into techie things so letting look over your work etc. The difficulty is that you have to have in the party at such times. Total shock doing the Kinrath caves and him piping up about the devices and taking them appart. That was a new one on me. Which is kinda what I was trying to get at about the balance between obvious and not.
  22. I like single it tends to draw the battles out a bit more. The veridian one is nice but the silver one is my favourite.
  23. I was thinking how much you must have sucked on Malacor V not to have destroy droid and nuke the mine field... It didnt really make a whole lot of sense. If you play a female character Sion says he loved you. Although it dosnt go into who he was before he fell. Kreia and the Exile are kindred spirits. She was cut off from the force and the Exile turned his back on it. She wanted to "kill" the force and the exile was the only one who could make that possible. Kreia was incredibly well done and whoever voiced her did an excelent job. Every time I met with her I would come out feeling tainted and seeing her point of view just a bit more..
  24. One of the things that I've noticed about KOTOR II is that you have to work for your crumbs :D This isnt KOTOR where your NPCs will "look like they want to talk" every so often and you will be fed as much story as you levels allow. No KOTOR II is a much more complex beast events will trigger new conversation options, though in most cases you wont be specifically told go speak to NPC XXX. You will have to work it out for yourself. Things you discuss with certain NPCs will open up new options with others and gaining influence or changing alignment will cause your party to have "moments". (Some companions are easy to influence but others have very few options. Hats off to anyone who trained Bao Dur as a Jedi without a walkthrough because there are so few points of influence with him). Even after 3 games I still cant get him to open up. Because the background story is told by your companions it's pretty essential that if you want to make some semblence of sense as to what is going on you need to find these things out. For example I only found out the whole reason why the Ebon Hawk was around on my third game.. It's taken me 3 and 1/2 games to totally piece the story together from all the NPCs (some are alignment/gender specific). compared to KOTOR which I played once and in view of the big revelation never really felt like playing again.
  25. Just carry on playing it will all work out in the end.
