I wouldnt hold your breath. I doubt LA care too much as long as the game met their criteria and is selling well. Obsidian probably do care (but like I said if they didnt check with LA then they shoulder some of the blame) But like any good professional employee they wont air their dirty laundry in public even if they do have words with LA on the matter they wont be made public. They will of course learn from it and not make the same mistake again. (hopefully)

Want to Know why Jade Empire will be better?
ShadowPaladin V1.0 replied to Craftsman's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I bet they will take great pains to remove any left over bits :D Jade Empire will be more hands on which will make a nice change of pace. -
Darth Nihilus. Pathetic.

See if you make a boss that will stand up to that sort of character then they will kill a lesser character without much effort. I gave up trying to find challenge in RPGs towards the end of the IE series.. Mine wasnt challenging or fun. Malek runs around the corner and using lighting. I laugh because he dosnt seem to realise im immume. I smack him with master flurry and he runs off. Repeat till he runs out of tanks and then he dies. Because he was invulnerable during his recharge phase the whole thing was stinky cheese. KOTOR II's battles while easy had a very good star wars vibe. KOTOR III must have a disarm feat and force pull though. So you can do the old lightsaber goes flying out of your hand thing. -
Weird influence thing, probably a spoiler

The higher your charisma is and the more influence you have the more your companions outlook starts to reflect your own. It's all explained in game why it works that way later on. -

You know the whole GOTO story ? -
Time might not have been the reason. I think some of that stuff would have pushed the game into M territory and also it's not very star wars like either. It's too dark and downbeat... If Obsidian was told by LA to pull those parts late on then that would explain why the game was as it was. To re record another ending would have required rehiring the VO talent. If Obsidian hadnt discussed the ending with LA before going ahead then they are somewhat to blame. Of course this is purely conjecture.

Maybe you have just gotten better and more used to the system. You could spam force powers non stop in KOTOR... -
Darth Nihilus. Pathetic.

Vrook did.. I had to force breach him on several occasions and he still had that master healing.. Couldnt choke him either The battles tend to be VERY fast because you have insane ammounts of damage flying around on each side. Even with master absorb I was still getting thumped for 40's by Sion. Once fully "enlightened" he went in a couple of seconds. Most fights dont last long enough for any sort of power use to occur. I swapped out the uber sabers on the Ravager and Nihilus was using death field right and left. Otherwise by the time he realises that healing would be a good idea he's already dead.. If you consider that your "average" PC is going to be using master speed and master flurry (possibly critical) then your dishing out really loopy ammounts of damage. First time Kreias sabers had killed me before I could even blink.. Armoured Jedi are VERY hard to hit and you can armour them to the point where they can shrug off pretty much anything.. I think the rules are flawed myself. I also dont see how fighting an easy Malak 5 or 6 times is entertaining.. -
Is there a Complete Walktrough?

20 (how many sith at ritual) I always lie (the statement) Gizka (the pet least likely for a Sith Lord) Cant recall the others, but if you open the library you can access the code of the Sith and see which one is wrong. -

It makes perfect sense. The fight with Malak was just cheesey. I hid around a corner smashed him flat in seconds then he ran off to recharge. Repeat a couple of time no more Malak , yep very Star Warsy that was.. It wasnt destroyed. Watch the scene carefully it's a graphic glitch. Much like the one where the remote passes through GOTO. Most likely it was ionised.. All that on Nar Shada is GOTO he's responsible for all of it. You can bring him up on it later. At which point I would have ejected him out of the airlock but never mind. The Bith is tied to GOTO , the Bith was too close to finding something out and had to be stopped... Dosnt have anything to do with the HK plot directly. The HK's sent to stop T3 were also sent by GOTO (same ones you see on his ship). -
That really sums up my KOTOR II feelings perfectly...

Why not you just said KOTOR was easy and KOTOR didnt have crafting which pretty much proves what I was saying. I didnt find it any easier than KOTOR with the only exception being the super cheesey Malak battle battle. Since the only variable is the player then it is down to the player whether or not it is their own fault. If KOTOR II was like the Ninja Gaiden of RPGs then it would be beyond many peoples abilities, thats just the way it is. Str is irrelevent with finesse and the damage range on a saber, nice try though -
Try using that force power that speeds up regen ?

Are you still in battle mode?

I think it's a graphic glitch. He sort of disapears into the floor rather than being destroyed. Bao Dur just may not know, there is no real sense that the remote speaks about anything beyond it's "job". Also it ties in with GOTO then asking about upgrades. If he's disabled and examined the remote then he's obviously aware of whats inside it. He even says as much in the conversation although in his usual sneaky way. Whether or not Bastila shows up depends on which options you choose with Atton. I've had her appear with Carth in one instance on Telos. The game is very good at keeping the different arcs intact although if you chose a different reponse to how your KOTOR game ended then they wont for obvious reasons. You could be onto something with the change in the ending. After all in this instance you only have Kreias word that things turned out that way. Where as a more solid ending would have been much more difficult to workaround. -
Your opinion on KOTOR2 storyline
ShadowPaladin V1.0 replied to Lord Soviet's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Engrossing upto Dantooine then almost non existent. What you have to remember is that the characters will only know things from their own perspective. And you only get the whole story by piecing all the different perspectives together. As for why you cant go into detail about the Sith lords. Well personally I think it's because Kreia wont let you. Even though she is adamant she wouldnt manipulate your mind in that way, she has been from the begining.. -
From the Mandalorean wars to TSL *BIG SPOILERS*
ShadowPaladin V1.0 replied to Zilod's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
It's possible though it is a different Jedi council and Kreia really seems to hate them. I dont know if cutting off their connection to the force is the same as wiping their identity. If Revan had amesia he could still have the force inside, but not the knowledge to draw on it. It all depends on your point of view.. If you examine Revans insight and conclude that he saw the danger of the Sith empire and also saw that a fractuous Rebublic would not be able to withstand it , then "falling" may have been the only course of action that would save the Galaxy. Malak just wanted to destroy things but Revans plans had much more depth to them. One of the lessons Kreia is always trying to push home is that a good act dosnt always lead to a good conclusion and that murdering people for no reason isnt something to be proud of. -

In theory the lnfluence system is light years ahead of KOTOR which is basically spoonfeeding you more story as you advance in levels regardless. However because it does only use influence as a measure then it's easily exploited either on purpose or accidently. Which can mean that no one have much to say after you have exhausted their dialogue. It took me a couple of playthroughs to piece the whole story together and I've still managed to find bits I missed, whether because I didnt want to give the character the time of day, or because my previous character didnt have the skills. Same thing happened with Bastila if you were female or didnt do her romance option(KOTOR). I meant what I said about depth being a waste of time. Would the game have been more involved if that story was fed to you regardless of your actions, for a lot of people it most certainly would have been. -

If you have been flitting around the planets then likely your journal is a mess. I know mine was but that was on my second time playing so not so bad. You go to Onderon twice. Once you crash on Dxun and then you have to flee. Then you can later return and do part II (which you need to do to meet Kavar properly and advance the plot). You cant leave Koriban academy without finding the Jedi master, so if you have been there you should be ok with that one. In order to find Vrook you need to look in the room where you found the disciple on the lower level search around and you will find a clue. Nar Shadar you cant really miss him as long as you have been noticed by the exchange. Guessing you dont play many RPGS ? -

At the point the Ebon Hawk falls into the planet you dont know whats going to happen to it. It looks like its gone for good and your stuck on MV... As for Nihilus it makes perfect sense. Kreia has betrayed him drawn him to Telos to "feast" on the Jedi council of course they are already dead and the only Jedi with any real feasting potential is you. And your going to have the opposite effect anyway. Thats what the boss battle is, it's not about how quick you can knock him down with a lightsaber it's the result of Kreias plans. Like Sion it dosnt matter if you take down his body, his body is no longer important. It's when he gets damaged, the point where Visas says its impossible, he tries to drain you and thats what will ultimately kill him. By the point you confront him he is on his last reserves of energy. Which is why Visas refuses to take you to meet him any sooner. I'm pretty confident I could have taken him out as he was when I arrived on the first planet. In KOTOR II the saber battles are more of an aside to what is actually going on. It's a lot like the Darth/Luke battle in EPV and EP VI. -

You can get into the cache with the trondium charge. Not everything will be accesable depending on what character you play and what you have done. Check your journal and see what you need to do. Flitting from planet to planet makes it hard to keep track but you need to have found all 4 Jedi masters on the list for the plot to advance. -
I'm sure someone has already said this but.. When you talk to Atton in the cell you set the parameters for who Revan was and which side they chose. Then througout the game the scenes will change. For example if you choose DS/Female then you will have admiral Cede rather than Admiral Onasi (as Carth would be dead in that particular story arc). Likewise if you have revan as DS the sith holicron will have a message from Bastila where as if you choose LS then the holocron is destroyed when you find it. You also get a variety of different scenes with T3 when you fool around with his memory core depending on which particular choices you made with Atton. It's clever and it's quite subtle so it's not suprising that some people missed it.

You either have to walk slowly or you go forward a bit wait for him to catch up , repeat until you reach the exit. He will sometimes get stuck if there is an object between you but all you need to do is move out and he will follow you. The influence system really depends on how you play. In my first game my character wouldnt go near Kreia unless he really had too. Playing in character, rather than playing just for people to hear what they want to hear it will take quite a while to open up everyones influence dialogues. The dialogue is much more complex and dependent on other things than KOTORs level then chat dialogue. If you play simply to get maximum influence then it's very easy to do. -
There is a rare crystal in the armoury on Izziz every time I've opened the door it's been silver. I've also found a veridian crystal in the museum (good place for crystals and jedi stuff). Orange shows up a lot on Koriban in the academy. If you do Nar Shada first then by the time you meet Visas you should already have a lighsaber.. Which means she comes with a freebie , colour varies.

After you kill the two droids he sends out talk to the "boss" by the console.
