  1. I wouldnt say much more, it really depends on the game. Last time I played FFC I ended up hitting the end boss 300 times without getting hit. Certainly a case of my abilities overshadowing my characters. However, this isnt a typical thing either. Most people would die either from the boss or of boredom long before that.. Actually it's more when you trigger those abilities, which is entirely down to the player. Even with the same character people will have a different gameplay experience.KOTORs a very simple game anyway. The more complex the game the more the player becomes a factor whether the game is reflex based or rules based.
  2. That isnt how it works though unless you do away with stats completely which no one has yet suggested. Your ability to push buttons will influence the outcome, but it wont determine it. Much like how peoples knowledge of the rules influence the outcome in rules based games. Knowing the rules will be an advantage, but by no means guarantees you will win. You still need a character that is upto the task. Characters abilities can be incorportated into hands on systems just as easily as they can in rules based ones.
  3. Not big on the whole business definitions are we. :D
  4. ROFLMAO!!!!!!! Man, you crackin' me up! It's not my freaking fault that there is no CIS publisher here! First live in my country, then speak. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Your still breaking the rules of the board. Dont be suprised if you get banned.
  5. You claimed it was selling but you cant actually back that up. I dont see any reason to believe it is selling. One would have thought using capitals for the word selling would have clued you in to the particular usage of the word. But apparently not. So while the odd copy may be trickling off the shelves in your particular area it's not SELLING is it. :D
  6. Anyone remember this little "gem" ? http://imdb.com/title/tt0084314/ Violence has existed long before video games. People have always been quite happy to bash each other around the head for a variety of reasons. Video games are not the cause of violence. They can however shape the act (much like a copycat killer) or they can give rise to the conflict that will fuel violent feelings. Even message boards can make people very aggressive when you challenge someones "ideal" vision. It's quite possible that someone will be "inspired" by a video game. Or will actually start to see their gaming skills as real. How many times have you heard someone say "I'd be a great soldier because I kick arse at counterstrike" !! (or words to that effect). Fantasy games have an extra layer of protection built in because they are fantasy. In order to believe a dragon was real you would have to be clinically dellusional anyway. But playing fantasy games did lead me on to reinactment with real weapons, becoming a collector of real weapons and armour , and a very keen interest in history and millitary history. As well as library full of occult literature I've also often wished that my car was decked out "Car Wars" style when stuck in traffic jams. Imagining cars in front of you blowing up and flipping over is strangely carthatic when your stuck on the M25 for 3 hours.
  7. Sure they would game stores do it all the time. Thats why things sit on the shelves for months and sometimes years. If it's not in their top seller charts, well one can conclude thats because the game isnt selling.
  8. Hale and Paces Billy&Johnny were based on rainbow. They even did the one skin, two skin , three skin sketch.
  9. Never heard of him. Then I checked the petition and by the look of it and the 25 signitures not many other people have either..
  10. Well I provided my links, if you want to hide behind your particular brand of "logic" be my guest. The logical conclusion that you wont say where bloodlines is can only be because it's not in the charts, which kinda proves my point whether by your ommision or not.
  11. So where is it on the chart list then ? Just because you think it's selling copies means nothing.
  12. Well that solves one of the great mysteries of my childhood..
  13. Worth giving it a bump because it's release tommorow. For fans of Disgaea Phantom Brave is released tommorow too.
  14. Very relevent. Being priced at $40 and SELLING at $40 are two very different things. :D The game could be priced at $500 but if it never sold a copy,it wouldnt make any difference :D
  15. Where is it in the EB charts ?
  16. Is it selling at $40 , nope thought not.
  17. http://shop.game.net/ViewProduct.aspx?cat=10341&mid=321207 Fact is that your wrong.
  18. Considering you have a second home there dosnt suprise me that you would think that.
  19. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> D'nile is a river in Egypt :D games that drop to
  20. My inner conservationist thinks it's a great step forward. But I miss being able to read manuals when not sat in front of the computer.
  21. Not even a fraction as moving as having to kill Flammie.. Possibly the saddest moment ever in a game.
  22. HoF mode is just one of those things you play to say you have done it. I usually played on insane. I really enjoyed that area with the monks and those tests.
