In theory your supposed to be able to destroy the planet the remote is there to make it possible. Although it may be one of the cut endings as well I'm not sure what the criteria for planet killing is. In the dialogue you can threaten to blow up the planet but it dosnt seem to "stick" when the fight is triggered. I always imagined that Bao Dur would have noticed GOTO's tinkering and programmed in a counter. You can almost see the remote grinning smuggly as M5 goes kaboom.. Kreia wanted to win because her teachings were right. The exile proved her teachings were wrong by following her to MV she believed the exile had turned away because he was afraid to face M5 but he came back to stop her so she failed even though she trained "an apprentice" strong enough to kill her she failed to make him see things her way through her teachings even if she did manipulate him into allowing her to get revenge on everyone that wronged her (although not everthing). Because T3 took him there. But he deleted that part of his memory so no one could follow. Or at least said he did. T3 also locked the navi comp so he couldnt be left behind.

One of them adds 30% to the damage at a cost of extra FP's its very useful. I got bored of playing a consular because it went something like this. Enter combat mode (with force power boosted) click lightning watch everything die exit combat mode. Walk forward a bit repeat above....

She's interesting to have around. If you play DS she lectures you every time you murder someone. It's not the fact that you murdered them that bothers her, but that you did it for no real purpose. If your LS she lectures you for helping people and not getting a reward. (With her in the party constantly I was level 16 before the first real planet so I think the mentor ability makes a difference I also like not having to use buff spells (because Im lazy) she does all the work and the force bond gives them to me anyway). Having to visit her in her "chambers" reminded me a lot of visiting the headmistress. Her voice actress did an incredible job one of the top VO's in any game I have played. -
Finished the game for the first time.

Even though I wasnt happy with the lack of ending. That ending is so unstarwars I would have been even less happy with it. -

Dont think so. Some dont even know she is there for a while. A couple have confrontations with her. Her and Atton is interesting. Bao Dur will say something if you start to fall as will the disciple. -

Is the Jedi Watchman pointless?
ShadowPaladin V1.0 replied to ShadowPaladin V1.0's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
The weapon master is lethal compared to the watchman. Plus they get a huge number of feats which none of the other prestige classes seem to get. new ranks of two weapon fighting new ranks of saber specialisation damage reduction extra damage If you want a nice relaxing game a consular with support feats and a couple of attack powers is great. Sit back buff party and watch them run off and kill things. I'm going to take a Sith Marauder for a spin then shelve the game I think. Time to move on. -
Should games be obvious ?

Actually BG is nice to play even if you dont bother with the roleplaying. Especially if you create your own weird party combos. I never felt compeled to play KOTOR again I knew the big plot twist but with KOTOR II there were so many unanswered questions I wanted to fill in the gaps. Plus you have the Hanhar/Disciple thing as a DS female which makes it quite different from the Handmaiden/Mira of an LS male. -

Through her manipulations she pretty much allows you to train yourself. She also strips away a lot of the mystery and quasi religious Jedi teachings. She trains you but in a way that dosnt make you reliant on her as a Padawan is to their master. Or even subserviant to her as a Sith is to theirs. In that respect her training of you is unique she simply points you in the right direction (or manipulates events to put you in the right place at the right time). Like when you become your prestige class at first its like HUH ? Then it just makes sense as all you really needed was to relaise your potential. Much like when you awaken the other force users. Only in your case you very much set them on their path too, they dont really have much choice in the matter. -

I'm reminded of Qui Gon and his view of Anakin bringing balance to the force. Which in fact he does although probably not in the way Qui Gon intended. By the time Anakin is done there are two Sith (him and plapy) and two Jedi Ben and Yoda. Kreia was right about many things. It is conflict that makes us strong and isolation that weakens us. Which is why the exile was pushed towards conflict after conflict. -
I got a Jedi Master robe off Vrook after killing him.

It's in the deliberate intent to maim. You really should read the guidelines. Which scenes would those be just for a laugh ? -

Unless Koriban is your first planet :D -
Other than a weak version of sneak attack and force camo do they get any other abilities. In the loading screen it says they get defensive abilities but all the weapon based classes get greater prestige sense.

Like many things in SW it all depends on your point of view. Bare in mind that most people wont surivive to appreciate the "freedom" and most people dont believe that the force is an entity which guides their destiny. "Look kid I've been from one side of the Galaxy to the other..." Kreia makes you strong enough to face the perils and survive. Shes certainly not altruistic as she has her own agender but every Sith knows that one day their apprentice will try to take them down. But by teaching the apprentice to be stronger than they are they make the whole stronger. Its kinda like Darwinism. The Jedi on the other hand hide from and deny their emotions and train their students to do the same. "Oh look here is the death of the force incarnate" lets send it away where it wont do any damage"... What none of the KOTOR games really seem to nail is how the darkside takes control of you. In KOTOR the darkside isnt faster and since you can be as pure as the driven snow and still toss around force lightning it dosnt really fit... -
Have you found the holopad on the pile of mercenery corpses ? It's the room in the sublevel with the statue. If your planning on killing him he's a tough SOB

Oh thats obvious but what KOTOR II shows is there are different degrees to the darkside. Malak was the typical crush everything without thought type not very deep and about as subtle as a brick. The code of the Sith is all about personal freedom , being no ones slave. Thats why Kreia "admired" the exile. They survived without the force and became stronger for it. Without the force she was nothing but a weak old woman who got her arse kicked by her apprentice. Your bonds can never be truly broken if your always going to be a slave to the force. And thats the truth that haunted her. Being a slave of the force was something she could simply not abide which is why she wanted it destroyed. Nihilus is a creature of instinct who's only instinct is to feed. Sion seeks to bring the pain of his existence to everyone else. All three of them hated the Jedi but Kreia moved too slowly for the other two. In both cases they were only kept alive by their force link. Kreia too if the "end" sequence is anything to go by. She dosnt fall over when you "kill" her either. -
Kotor double pack

I wasnt talking about EPIII the film there is a game of the same name. Although the spin offs from it will take up LA's attention for quite a while. They still have to spend money on the usual publishing things. Manuals, box covers CD's etc. PDF files are not an option on a console :D (w00t) -
He was killed on Kattar.

I think it's actually a graphic glitch. First time I watched it looked like the remote blew up. Second time watching it closely you can see the remote slide into the floor and disapear. So what I think happened is GOTO ionised it and then had a poke around inside it. The is supported when he later asks about the upgrades because he is impressed by the remote (hes been poking around in it) and even later on MV.. But it does make complete sense if it's a graphical glitch and as I've seen the remote pass right through GOTO it's not that unlikely.

Yep you have to be DS to pull the Hissis trick effectively.

I was chatting to Atton outside the ship at the time.'Nother bug there if you talk to him about becoming a Jedi it wont register as his new class. Works fine after you see him after the rescue or even during the rescue. "Here Atton , go hit things with your new lightsaber"
