  1. Game balance is an art, not a science. Sajan from the Monk Class Deck is pretty darn powerful. After completing adventure 1, he could be rolling 1d10+1d6+9 with a basic weapon (the deck has several weapons that use Acrobatics for your Combat check). Combine that with the Mythic Paths of the Wrath of the Righteous set, and the numbers get completely insane, especially with his Monk of the Four Winds role. So, your opinion is just as valid as mine. But having a handful of extra dice on every roll for a complete round of turns is REALLY powerful.
  2. That also happens on both of my devices. This is evidently a processor-heavy game. I mentioned this in a thread where someone was voting for animated graphics on cards, and I said, "My tablet is working hard enough as it IS..."
  3. There was a topic on this (somewhere) where the devs said, "We tried a bunch of options and this was the one that worked best."
  4. Just so you know, characters and progress isn't yet stored on the "cloud" (in development!), but rather locally on the device. However, the treasure chest cards should overlap, as should your gold totals, and other purchases as long as you use the same Play Store login e-mail address. You can see the cards you've earned via chests by going to the first screen (Continue, Story, Quest, etc) and clicking on Gallery. At the bottom, there's the word Treasure followed by three buttons: On, Off, or Available. "On" shows all the cards in the "box" including chest cards. "Off" leaves the chest cards out. "Availble" JUST shows the chest cards. You kinda have to cycle through Adventure Deck numbers (B thru 6, possibly followed by C and P if you've acquired the Character Add-on Deck in the store or bought the $24.99 bundle, respectively) and the card types, but they're all there. You should see the same stuff through both tablets (if you don't, try closing and restarting the app on both). Hope this helps.
  5. I should go into more detail, but I'm not really focusing that way when I play, Overall, Heroic mode costs me when I'm careless. So far, Legendary mode has scared me enough that I haven't been careless. So, the boons you get added to your vault from completing adventures on Legendary... Are they fixed or random?
  6. I would recommend changing the play-verb in the first power from "reveal" to "display" as this is almost exactly what the "display" does. Also, that first power is really broken, and I would recommend at LEAST changing the discard scenario to the end of THE turn, not the end of HER turn, so that she doesn't just display (or reveal) all her Blessings right after resetting her hand and then have them for all checks, on- and off-turn. As for fitting the patterns of existing characters, all characters start with 4 available power feats before they select their role. Mikiko has 5. You may want to sneak one into her role. Similarly, all existing characters have 8 MORE power feats opened up by their role. Your role opens up 5. Very few (but more than zero!) characters gain powers merely by earning their role card. The third power on the role card should probably have a check box in front of it. (It's actually butch, and similar to a power that costs another Sajan version two power feats to gain.) In that same power, instead of saying "...or the number..." I'd recommend specifying "...or the adventure deck number...". Lastly, she needs a deck list/card feats matrix, favored card type, and a second role. B-) That's all purely technical observation. That's actually a pretty cool character, especially for someone with only a week's exposure to the game. The art reminds me a lot of yet another PACG Monk, Athnul.
  7. "Modify Difficulty +1" is the one I picked up from all the Haunts in The Cult Exposed.
  8. I think the confusion is that the Trait as the same name as the Skill, and yet there are two separate entities. You can have a check with the Melee trait which is NOT using the Melee Skill (if Merisiel wanted to use a Melee weapon and didn't want a 1d4 skill die, this would be the case). So it's not a Melee Skill Check, but it's a Strength Skill Check with the Melee trait.
  9. Yes. This is a known bug mentioned many many times over in the Support Forum. TLDR: It's been reported, they've been able to reproduce it, and they are working on a fix in the next update (which has no ETA as yet).
  10. Not precistely. The possibility to Succeed is spelled out. "Otherwise" implies ALL OTHER possibilties. So not "Succeed or Fail" so much as "Succeed or NOT Succeed". Boris has you on this one.
  11. Actually, that was part of the Base RotR set (it was Bury rather than Banish, too). A lot of the Chest ones are in other sets/expansions of the base game. Some, to my knowledge, aren't, however.
  12. Remember, a given character can only play one card of a given type on a given check (or Step). That means that Kyra can only play one spell on Merisiel's first check. (The amusing thing is, if you'd been able to scout the deck and realize Merisiel had this combat coming and had Kyra play her spell before Merisiel drew the card, you could have played another spell on each check, since Agility is persistent throughout the turn.) So if, as Stormbringer mentioned, Kyra played Guidance or Aid already, on that check, she couldn't also play Agility.
  13. Here's something I didn't pick up right off... I earned some loot (completed Angel in the Tower) and I wanted to move the loot around between characters. In the deck-editing screen, when a Loot is in your deck, it's placed among other cards of its type (Sihedrion Medallion is an Item, and shows up in your Item inventory). However, once you put it down in the "Swap" space, it goes to a Loot area, for which there is no button. So if I move my Sihedrion Medallion out of Lini's Item inventory down below (and move to any other boon type) the Medallion seems to disappear. You CAN find it again with the Show All button, but that strikes me as another counter-intuitive UI thing that might oughta be reconsidered.
  14. 3 - Those are different developments (iterations?) of the same character. Imagine that each time you start a character fresh, you keep a sheet of paper that records their feats and the contents of their decks, and at the end of each scenario, every single card goes back in the vault. Each sheet is one version of a given character, and it's given a unique name to separate it from all the others. Whenever you're at the Character Selection screen, if there's a "..." button at the bottom right of the character portrait, one of the options is "Nickname" so you can give them more meaningful (to you) unique names than "Merisiel1".
  15. Seelah was at the Shadow Clock, and figured she'd better use her Cure before she had to recharge her hand again. She did, and to make sure the Cure was recharged, she applied her Improved Inspired Grace (With Iomedae's Benediction) to the Recharge check. This changed the Check Skill to None, and took away her d8 and her Divine Skill bonus. However, this ALSO changed the difficulty of the check to 0, so the 1d6+1 from Improved Divine Grace was plenty to win the check. I'm running Android 5.1.1 on a Nexus 10. No Pass-and-play No Permadeath Story mode (Never tried Quest Mode) Seelah was at the Clock Tower. I don't remember where Lini was. Turn order was Seelah, then LIni Scenario was Angel in the Tower, Normal Difficulty I don't remember if it was the first explore The only modifier made to the check was Improved Divine Grace (don't remember if the card recharged or discarded) No Horde
  16. We ran into two problems. 1) Like those above, when Lini was facing Justice Ironbriar alone, his difficulty was raised by 1d4. But first, LIni had to deal with a summoned monster. The 1d4 difficulty was applied to the summoned monster, rather than Justice Ironbriar. Sadly, I took a screenshot with Justice Ironbriar up in Display mode, which covered the difficulty. (Note: I'm fairly sure it wasn't the two Haunts I'd encountered that made me think the difficulty was higher, but that's something to look out for.) 2) Seelah later faced Justice Ironbriar, and after dealing handily with the summoned monster, faced the man himself. The default check to defeat was Divine - 11. She changed it to Combat. The difficulty stayed at 11 instead of increasing to 16. Screenshot below. I'm running Android 5.1.1 on a Nexus 10. No Pass-and-play No Permadeath Story mode (Never tried Quest Mode) Seelah and Lini were at the Academy Turn order was Seelah, then LIni Scenario was The Cult Exposed, Normal Difficulty I don't remember if it was the first explore Noted this before anyone, including Seelah, had played any cards to alter the check No Horde Edit: Huh. I can't add an attachment to a reply... Only to a new post. Interesting.
  17. This is either not a bug, or a known bug. If you have too few items, and you've otherwise got all your character decks to the correct number of each type of boon, you should the green "move on" arrow on the right should light up. If you hit it, you should see the deck-arranging screen again, but this time, all the basics should appear on the bottom. You should be able to pick basic Items until your deck is of the appropriate size. If you know all that, and the green arrow thingy isn't lighting up, I think that that's a known bug and is being investigated. Providing a screen shot, if you can, would probably help.
  18. See how it still says "Discard 1"? It's still thinking you're using her Arcane Blast power. And there's still an "Undo" button on the left to allow you to decide NOT to use the Arcane Blast power.
  19. Awesome question! Kyra's been known to lay about with a Bastard Sword... She probably discarded it for the Big Finish.
  20. I'm running Android 5.1.1 on a Nexus 10. (No Pass-and-Play, no Permadeath, Story mode, The scenario was over so locations didn't apply, Turn order was Lem;Kyra;Merisiel, Thistletop Delve, Normal difficulty, The scenario was over so I wasn't encountering a card, Not an explore (first or otherwise), Most recent card encountered was (predictably) Nualia, Not an encounter so no aiding happened, No Horde.) So, I charged through the end of Thistletop Delve and earned my righteous reward... The Scenario Reward, Loot: Sihedron Medallion, and the Advanture Reward, a Card Feat. But what's this? After Lem reveals his loot, somehow the other two characters get free weapons? Consolation prizes? Bug-booty? Oh yeah. Shake that bug-booty... Take care.
  21. I actually don't play that much Battletech. I just have friends who do, and their terminology got absorbed through repeated exposure.
  22. I'm running Android 5.1.1 on a Nexus 10. (No Pass-and-Play, no Permadeath, Story mode, Kyra and Merisiel were at the Goblin Fortress, but I forget where Lem was, Turn order was Lem;Kyra;Merisiel, Approach to Thistletop, Normal difficulty, encountered Gogmurt, not a first explore, don't recall previous card, other characters aided but I don't remember how, no Horde.) Playing Approach to Thistletop on Normal Difficulty, I was facing Gogmurt. Before I acted, he dealt me 1d4-1 Fire Damage. I bounced it off my Shield of Fire Resistance. I proceeded the first combat and won. I proceeded the second combat and lost by 3. Since all damage dealt by Gogmurt is Fire Damage, I figured I'd bounce 2 points off of my Shield of Fire Resistance. Since this was a different "step" from the Before You Act "step", I figured that should be no problem. When I selected the Shield, the top right corner had a padlock on it, and I wasn't given the option to Recharge... Enjoy!
  23. These aren't "Promo" cards, per se. They just aren't typically in the RotR set. The Fox is from the next set, Skull and Shackles and has shown up in several Class Decks (Bard, Ranger, and Wizard). The Dilettante has only ever appeared, to my knowledge, in the Bard Class Deck.
  24. The card game has a 32 page rulebook. Getting all that into a basic tutorial is a challenge. They're already looking at way to make more features and options and such more visible, especially to people who've never played the card game before. That's how I worked it out. I play the card game a LOT, and I was thinking, "There should be a way to let Kyra take a check on this baddy..." And then I took a quick look at the Skill Selection area and it had an Icon I'd never seen before on it. I clicked it and, Voila!
