  1. I very much agree with MonarchX about calibration. For me that's an Integral part of owning a monitor. i1 Pro FTW
  2. I think it does work for me, but if I'm fighting more than one enemy and there is either a bad guy or one of my NPCs between me and the target of Into The Fray, it stops the pull. Is this what you're experiencing? Or it just never works for you under any circumstances?
  3. This is probably not the best subforum for the request; what level are you on, exactly? IIRC there are doors with steep Mechanics requirements on level 13 (which isn't quite the last one ). Personally, I made a custom rogue with maxed out Mechanics to get past them (you can leave the rogue at the stronghold afterward if you don't want him in your party.) As for the blade, IIRC the third part is on level 8 and the last part on level 12 or 13 (can't recall the exact location but I assume you'd clear and loot all levels completely; maybe you should sneak around them to look for hidden objects.)
  4. Will try to get a saved game + repro steps for this one.
  5. It would help if you had a saved game with eighth-level Hiravias to hand the devs so they could repro in-house
  6. All the above are still outstanding. Additional typos: When talking to The Master Below, there's a full stop followed by an ellipsis. In this case, the full stop and the ellipsis should not be separated by a space; rather, the space should come after the ellipsis (i.e. "The Black Meadow.... Perhaps [...]"). Screenshot. When Edér comments on your findings regarding his brother's allegiance during the Saint's War, there is a mismatch between the VO and what is written (VO says "this one", writing reads "the one"). Screenshot When you first encounter The Grieving Mother, there's an aside that should be between commas but the first comma is missing (i.e. the sentence should read "You can hear her thoughts, and she is glad to, at last, be seen.") Screenshot. When talking with the Spirit of Od Nua, there's a sentence that has too many commas. Those underlined in the screenshot should be removed. Screenshot. Tcharek appears to have issues with ellipsis as well. In the screenshot the follows, the first ellipsis is preceded by a space and followed by none when it should be the other way around (i.e. it should be "Vithrack... searching." and not "Vithrack ...searching."); the second has no space before or after, and should have one after (i.e. should be "We grew sick... with memory."). Screenshot. One of the tips you get during loading screens speaks of "area effect" instead of "area of effect". Screenshot. Would be nice if a dev could chime in to confirm whether these are going to be looked at/fixed. Reporting them is rather time-consuming so I'll save myself the time if nothing will come of it
  7. The inventory icon for the item Velune appears very pixellated at 2560x1440. SCREENSHOT: link SAVED GAME: link (yes, it's the same as in the bug report about resting bonuses never going away) REPRO STEPS: Load the save game attached on a computer whose monitor runs at 2560x1440 (and of course set the game to that resolution too). Access the Stash and look for Velune among the miscellaneous items. Observe that the icon appears very pixellated compared to all other icons around it. Right-click Velune to see its description to get a closer look at the pixellated icon.
  8. Can still repro with patch 1.4 (but can't seem to edit the thread title to reflect that).
  9. Can still repro with patch 1.4 (but can't seem to edit the thread title to reflect that).
  10. Since updating to patch 1.4, the bonuses I get from resting in specific rooms at an inn are not removed when camping outside or resting in the common room. They can only be replaced by different bonuses from resting in a different room that grants them SAVED GAME: link REPRO STEPS: Load the attached saved game. Observe that the party is currently receiving a bonus from resting in the Broad Beam room (+1 Intellect, +1 Perception). Talk to Bishop, and rest in the Common Room of the Goose and Fox. This room gives no bonuses and should therefore cancel those in effect. Observe that the bonuses from resting in the Broad Beam room are still in effect. Head out of the Goose and Fox and reach a wilderness area outside of Defiance Bay. Rest using your camping supplies. This should cancel the bonus from resting in the Broad Beam room. Observe that the bonus is still in effect.
  11. Hi Tom, could you attach a saved game and provide repro steps? This way a QA dev can repro the bug on their end and put it on a programmer's radar
  12. I'll raise this if someone sends me a saved game where I can repro the issue (I'm at a point in Act II where I can't enchant anything to Exceptional or Superb yet). If you want to send me the saved game—please travel to Caed Nua before saving. I would very much like to avoid spoilers since I'm still relatively early in Act II.
  13. I approach this from a slightly different perspective, which I believe was also mentioned by Josh in an interview or two. I do agree with you that realistic/down-to-earth armor design is preferable to the goofy/cartoony over-the-top stuff that has become so hip in recent years. To achieve the former and avoid the latter was one of PoE's stated artistic goals and I believe the game delivered. However, let's say you find an armor that you really like aesthetically. You like it so much that you'd want your character to wear it for the rest of the game. But, alas, that armor is "Fine" and you'll find plenty better armors along the way, so that keeping your beloved piece will be mechanically sub par. Right? Thanks to the enchantment system, wrong! You can enchant your favorite suit of armor and make it "Exceptional"—even "Superb"—thus keeping it mechanically viable for the whole game while retaining the looks you like so much. For that reason, too, it would make sense to be able to upgrade from "Fine" to "Exceptional" to "Superb".
  14. This should go to the tech support forum with an attached saved game and a list of steps to repro
  15. Does this: bring any visible visual enhancements? Or is it an "under-the-hood" kind of fix?
  16. Back on this topic, I have a question for either a dev or a tech-savvy forumer who could look this up in the code. Since it involves one of the "cool items", I'll go with the spoiler tags just in case:
  17. OP -- I would open a bug report with an attached saved game and repro steps in the appropriate section as this really sounds like a bug more than a design decision.
  18. Would be nice to hear from a dev about this as it is still an issue (apparently not fixed by the upcoming 1.4 patch).
  19. This did indeed work for me. Although it would still be nice if custom formations worked fine from the get-go Nice to have a workaround handy, though!
  20. So Tim Cain, Adam Brennecke, Chris Avellone and Eric Fenstermaker are all juniors?
  21. When perusing a merchant's goods, it is possible to select a particular category of items (armor, weapons, consumables, or "other"); when doing so, all items that don't belong to that category - either in your inventory or in the merchant's store - take on a semi-transparent effect meant to "grey them out." However, that semi-transparent effect does not go away when you close the merchant interface, and in fact persists in your inventory. SAVED GAME: link (yes, it's the same as the saved game in my clipping bug report) REPRO STEPS: Load the attached saved game. Talk to Dengler and ask him to see what he has. Go to the trading interface, and select the "other" category (the one whose icon is an ellipsis). Observe how all items that don't pertain to that category are "greyed out" by means of a semi-transparent effect. Exit the trading interface and go to your inventory. Observe that all items you have that don't pertain to the "other" category are still semi-transparent.
  22. When using a custom formation with a 6-character party, the 6th character will not abide by the position assigned to it. SAVED GAME: link REPRO STEPS: Load the attached saved game (if I did things right, you'll be in Caed Nua with a 6-party character + Itumaak). Observe that a custom formation is currently selected; check how it looks "on paper" (i.e. how I arranged characters in the custom formation interface). Move the party. While characters move, observe that Sagani's and Itumaak's green pointers (the green circles that appear on the ground where the characters will stop) are not where they should be according to the custom formation assigned. When characters get to the point where you clicked, further observe how Sagani and Itumaak are in completely different positions from what the custom formation would mandate.
  23. If your character is wearing either a robe or plate armor together with a cape or mantle, the latter will clip against the former. SCREENSHOT: link SAVED GAME: link REPRO STEPS: Load the attached saved game. Zoom in on the party. Observe that the protagonist's cape clips against the plate armor; further observe that Aloth's and Durance's capes clip against their robes. Go to the inventory screen and rotate the character models to see the issue up close.
