  1. Could you link to one of your saved games that exhibits the issue? (Possibly also to your output.log file, since QA are going to request it anyway.)
  2. ^ I believe the main issue with that is that in order to read what the A.I. is doing from within the game's files, you'd need to be very proficient with the programming language the game was written in. I guess it would be within one of the IE Mod maintainers' capabilities, for example, to research this information in the game's code and relate; but I also imagine it would be a rather tedious, time-consuming task.
  3. To give Aarik a warm welcome back : SAVED GAME: link OUTPUT LOG: link REPRO STEPS: Load the attached saved game. Select the Paladin dude (he's the last one of the six portraits.) Go to his character record and observe his MIG score is 10, netting him no modifier to his damage and healing. Back to the game, observe he has the Sacred Immolation ability in his action bar. Right-click Sacred Immolation to get the details, and observe it deals 5 Raw damage to self. Select the Paladin dudette (second last portrait.) Go to her character record and observe her MIG score is 20, netting her a +30% modifier to her damage and healing. Back to the game, observe she has the Sacred Immolation ability in her action bar. Right-click Sacred Immolation to get the details, and observe it deals 7 Raw damage to self (rounded up from 6.5 by the interface, as resulting from 7 * (1+30%)) This might be intended, so I guess it's one for a designer.
  4. I've just tested the Spellward Amulet in 2.03 and it totally worked for me.
  5. Left-click the icon that looks like a purple head with cogs inside it to activate companion A.I.; you'll know it's on when a green border starts circling around it. Right-click the same icon if you want to customize the A.I. by selecting different instruction sets.
  6. To be fair, I didn't do a lot of research on this particular subject. I based my statement on my last play through, during which enemies never targeted my Priest who happened to be the only dude carrying a shield. I had high-DR, high-DPS fellows around and one low-health, low-DR Priest with high Deflection and enemies never rushed past my front line to maim him. Though based on kartacs's research, it is perfectly reasonable that my high-DPS characters took priority over the Priest by virtue of their higher DPS rather than their lower Deflection. To quote Irenicus, "It is time for more ... experiments." (I was really tempted to spell it "moar" but I have too much respect for David Warner's performance to do that on any Irenicus quote.)
  7. Re-organized action bar on Josh's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/p/BAIBmKSJx-k/ On the top you can also see what appears to be the icon of two new Fighter abilities (the blue-cross one, and the one with the dude charging with a shield.) Also, neat backpack icon for quick slots, and you can also see the icon you get from Survival resting bonuses next to character portraits. Not sure I recognize the middle icon in Hiravias's item-granted abilities? Is that Moonwell spell?
  8. What do you mean "both targets"? Your original target and who else?
  9. It is worn by one of the last bounties given by the Warden in Caed Nua. Can't remember the dude's name off the top of my head, but it's the one in Cilant Lis.
  10. Just tried and it works perfectly well for me. When you bring up the console and type "IRoll20s", you should get a message in the log that says "Cheats Enabled - Warning - Achievements disabled for this game." Then "AddItem crossbow_wendgar 1" gave me the crossbow as expected. Usually you get the error message when you try to cheat without enabling cheats first (though you say you did type IRoll20s.)
  11. If you're still keen on playing a Priest, you may give this build a spin. It's got INT and RES and can contribute to a fight. Alternatively, this Fighter (good INT but low RES) or this Chanter (again, good INT but low RES). Or the Darcozzi Forward Observer, as PrimeJunta mentioned.
  12. Dude, had totally missed that post about Son Mica's ... that makes it an insanely powerful weapon that I *must* use in my next play through. Also, great build I really like the idea of a Fighter casting missiles and of course using Penetrating Shot with spells is groovy (though a Ranger would be even better suited for this.)
  13. A couple extra thoughts. While it is true that gods and religious beliefs play a big part in Pillars of Eternity's plot, there is no inherent benefit—mechanical, narrative, or otherwise—to playing a Priest (and as DreamWayfarer noted, Paladins aren't necessarily devoted to a specific deity in this game and, in fact, often aren't.) Durance, on the other hand, has a personal story that is both interesting and related to the main plot; while it is absolutely not necessary to bring him along to understand or fully appreciate Pillars of Eternity's story, I believe there is something to be gained—narratively—from having him around and playing through his quest. His personality was purposefully made spiteful, hateful, and overall unlikable so don't expect your typical Goody Two-Shoes Priest. That he manages to be unlikable to everyone is a testament to the effectiveness of his writing. If you want good damage with high INT and RES, just set the latter two to the desired level and put the rest in MIG. Sure, you may end up having a slightly sup-par stat spread, but as DreamWayfarer mentioned, that's not really going to be a big deal on difficulty settings other than PotD (and even on PotD extreme min/maxing is not strictly necessary.)
  14. Link Please let me know when you've downloaded it so I can remove it from my dropbox; it's pretty big.
  15. The bug I spoke of is that Two Weapon Fighting doesn't speed you up if you're equipping a Bash shield.
  16. Yes, you've got it right. You may only have one enchantment per type on any given item. That is—for weapons—one quality (Fine, Superb, Accurate, etc.), one lash, and one creature slaying. Some unique items in the game are an exception to this rule and have more enchantments of the same type. Existing quality enchantments can be overwritten by new ones (e.g. you can upgrade a Fine item to Exceptional or Superb.) There are no recipes to be found in the game; what is there at the beginning is what you get (with the exception of Durgan Steel, which you gain access to by playing TWM pt. I).
  17. Tbh, I'm mostly keeping that armor for the looks; Frenzy doesn't stack with any of the buffs I typically use in spades so I could easily replace it with something else even now. I also wouldn't take Outlander's Frenzy for the LoP for the same reason (doesn't stack with my usual buffs) but of course YMMV.
  18. When I try to run the SweetFX mod, I get the following error message and it doesn't really work: C:\Pillars of Eternity\Sweet.fx(236, 35): error X3004: undeclared identifier 'ReShade_Start_Enabled' C:\Pillars of Eternity\Sweet.fx(236, 56): error X3000: syntax error: unexpected ';', expected '{' Any idea what it could be? EDIT: nvm, I've downloaded the latest and greatest version of Reshade/SweetFX and it works now. Honestly I'm not as big on this as most people seem to be. SMAA would be kick-ass, but it makes text look crappy at any setting worth using \ Some slight HDR and vibrance make the picture pleasant in a gimmicky way, basically via color over-saturation and black/white clipping. Maybe I'm too much of a video purist
  19. Dude, enjoy your well-deserved time off and have a great one!
  20. Have faith. Soon there will be a new version of the IE Mod out, and you'll be able to use its extra slow combat option.
  21. ^ day and date with TWM pt. II in late January. Unfortunately nothing more precise has been announced yet.
  22. I don't think the fix was retroactive. If you hit the dude with no icon with Borresaine now, you should see that the icon no longer sticks after the effect expires. However, to get rid of it on the other guys, you'll probably have to reload an earlier save. Unless hitting them with Borresaine again triggers another timer on the existing icon and makes it disappear afterward. Just speculating, of course, but it might be worth trying.
