  1. ^ The numbers are already in the game and can be disabled in the option menu.
  2. Just tested Spirit of the Decay (+20% Corrode damage) with Minoletta's Minor Missiles, which deals Crush/Corrode damage. The talent definitely does NOT apply to the Corrode damage of the spell. I take it the bug is the same affecting Bittercut, and fixing it once will fix it for all.
  3. As always, it depends Dual-wielding will be better against low-DR targets because it's faster, whereas two-handed weapons are more effective against high-DR targets because they deal more damage. Of course there are ways to make two-handers really fast, and ways to pump the damage on one-handers—but the above is the general rule. Personal preference, as usual, is also a thing. I prefer two-handers for my DPS characters, for example.
  4. +1 for the Vailian Republics. The potential for architectural awesome is beyond belief
  5. Should be this one. Let me know if it works. So ... you planning on taking up the IE Mod once again? Would be pretty rad!
  6. It depends on many things. Barbarian builds focus on AoE because that's a Barbarian's thing in this game (they get Carnage at level one and deal AoE damage with melee attacks automatically.) If you are playing at higher difficulty settings, and particularly on Path of the Damned, AoE is pretty handy as you'll face many large mobs that would otherwise take a long time to defeat. That said, single-target DPS is still very much a thing in this game and my every main character focuses exactly on that. So it mostly comes down to play style and personal preference, in the end.
  7. W00, welcome back, dude! I'll check if I still have the installer and send it your way. Unfortunately GoG have this bad habit of removing old patches after a while.
  8. I usually give it to my priest. Would work well on a chanter too.
  9. It doesn't stack with spells and potions, but does with item enchants and talents IIRC.
  10. On normal you can pick any NPC that strikes your fancy safe in the knowledge they will serve you well I often play fighter, monk, priest, wizard, cipher, and the sixth slot can be anything. Works great for me at any difficulty level.
  11. If you want to play classes in their archetypical attire, you can. The flexibility in PoE does in no way hinder the traditional setups and, tbh, most of the enemies you face are actually robed wizards, naked-torso monks, and heavy-armored fighters or paladins. The game doesn't go out of its way to promote weird builds; it just enables them. Personally, I think character building is one of this game's strongest points.
  12. SAVED GAME: link OUTPUT LOG: link REPRO STEPS: Load the attached saved game. Select the fire godlike and access her inventory. Pick up the sabre Bittercut from her inventory and equip it. Observe the color of the sabre is normal on the character model. Back to the game; zoom in and observe the sabre has taken on a reddish tint. Go to the inventory and observe the sabre has become reddish there too. Further observe it is positively fugly in this state Unequip the sabre and re-equip it. Observe it looks normal in the inventory, but takes on the reddish tint again as soon as you're back in-game. I could only repro this with a fire godlike character (but let the record show that I did not, in fact, systematically test all races for this bug.)
  13. Ahah, I found out by pure chance while testing builds for my TWM pt. II play through, and I wasn't sure whether to post it because it's SO minor. But then I found three minor bugs in a row and I thought, "What the hell, I'm gonna post these." XD
  14. SAVED GAME: link OUTPUT LOG: link REPRO STEPS: Load the attached saved game (same as for the previous two bug reports.) Select the dudette in green armor and go to her inventory. Observe she is wearing Sentinel's Girdle. Pick the girdle up and place it in the stash. Access the stash and sort items by "Item Type." Observe Sentinel's Girdle shows up first, then boots follow; belts/girdles are last.
  15. SAVED GAME: link OUTPUT LOG: link REPRO STEPS: Load the attached saved game (it's the same as the one for Duality of Mortal Presence; no need to download it twice.) Select the dudette in green armor. Observe the Ancestor Pendant's icon shows up twice in her action bar: Hover your mouse on both and observe they relate to the same ability (Guardian Spirit), which is 1/encounter (it shouldn't have two icons even if it were 2/encounter, mind you, but you know.)
  16. The Monk ability "Duality of Mortal Presence" is mistakenly listed as a talent (as opposed to as an ability) in the character's record. SAVED GAME: link OUTPUT LOG: link REPRO STEPS: Load the attached saved game. Select the dudette in green armor and bring up her character record. Scroll down to her list of talents. Observed "Duality of Mortal Presence" is shown under "Talents" even though it is an ability.
  17. Mobility isn't exactly a thing in PoE's combat, but if your party members are speedy, they can reach their targets faster and more easily avoid being engaged while they get there (since they're faster than their opponents.)
  18. Indeed if loading times are your main concern, you're going to need to install the game on a SSD. It will speed them up considerably.
  19. This is a known bug with quick saving and loading across area transitions: http://forums.obsidian.net/topic/83312-known-issue-missing-items-and-companions/?do=findComment&comment=1754471 Will likely be fixed in January when patch 3.0 lands.
  20. Looks like I'll need to start seriously considering a ranger build ... My third play through after TWM pt. II releases seems increasingly inevitable
  21. It's pretty great but wouldn't your ranger's DPS still be better off just shooting (twinned) arrows?
  22. ^ how would you justify the effect in-game, though? Immunities are supposedly innate, not something that is magically granted and can be magically suppressed. Personally, I don't think nerfing the effect these abilities were built for (by decreasing their duration) to accommodate for a bug-induced side effect would be a good thing. I'd rather keep immunities undispellable; if they're too harsh, they could/should be tweaked.
  23. ^ the guys at Obs are very well aware of the issue (Josh mentioned that more than once.) How attack speed works has been explained many times on these boards; it shouldn't be too hard to find out. Unfortunately I don't see PoE communicating it any better with patches (but PoE 2 will, according to Josh.)
