  1. None taken, and I agree—I was making a broader point rather than suggesting that approach to the OP
  2. It doesn't by design, as it would make Spiritshift even more (over)powerful.
  3. ^ I wouldn't be so sure ... It is certainly possible to max out before fighting the dragons. Regardless, with the party I've been testing for my 3.04 playthough, from level 14 on it was possible to brute-force dragons and shrug their breath attack because extreme healing on everyone.
  4. Bittercut's plagued by a bug whereby its blade takes your primary color instead of staying its natural color. Hence, if you pick a light-blue tint for this build variant and simply quit the inventory screen, you'll get a bluish Bittercut
  5. There won't be more of those either
  6. Well, 3.04 is likely going to be the very last patch for PoE anyway so once you have it, that's it in terms of downloading updates.
  7. I haven't built specifically around the Charge ability but the Glass of Pain variant replaces Shod-in-Faith with Frythr's Plated Greaves, which may better synergize with it. Granted, they come rather late, but so does Charge; you may wear Shod-in-Faith at lower levels and swap them when you get the Greaves. They grant a 1/rest ability that, going by memory, gives +3.5 move speed, +15 defense against Engagement, and prevents Engagement from stopping your movement. With it, you could quickly rejoin the rest of your party after charging priority targets, in case you had to protect a squishy or just wanted to be back within the priest's buffs' AOE. Other than that, as you can't really change the speed at which you charge, the ability is all about pumping MIG to boost damage, which the LoP already does
  8. Try without the I.E. mod for good measure. It has odd behaviors with spells at times (such as AoE spells not affecting the caster, for example.)
  9. I would do so hastily, as once 3.04 is out (and the plan, if memory serves, is to release it this week), no more patches will be released for this game and any unfixed bugs will stay indefinitely. Make sure @Sking sees it.
  10. I think (but don't quote me on this) that the bonus from One Handed Style also applies when you're going weapon + shield, which makes it a good choice for tanks with non-pumped PER and/or in a priest-less party.
  11. There is no 5th short story; Chris Avellone's novella is available through Obsidian's backer portal, from your GoG library from within the PoE tab, or within your game extras folder in your Steam PoE installation directory.
  12. I will play Tyranny, but probably only after I'm done with my next PoE play through--and definitely I won't be on the Paradox boards (although I may register to report bugs if I feel strongly enough about the game.)
  13. The party I've been testing lately is also the strongest, and though it could be stronger still just swapping a couple characters, it already makes the game so easy I'd rather keep the current low-maintenance setup. - Glass of Pain protagonist - Hired Tank of Pain - Hired The Unfaithful (Priest) - Hired The Last Unicorn (Chanter) - Hiravias with the Thundercat build - Zahua with a light-armored DPS build Thundercat at high levels is literally an "I win" button. The moment Rotflol Storm goes off, the fight is won without breaking a sweat (including Concelhaut and Llengrath.) The Unfaithful is so good I don't even. Replacing the tank with a nova-nuke Wizard or a melee Cipher would be even more powerful but, as I mentioned, there's no need for more power and I like the lower maintenance. Besides, the tank looks stylish as heck XD
  14. EDIT: please ignore this. False alarm.
  15. Heh, you aren't kidding—even without the Tidefall version I've just described (which I doubt I'll post in the build thread anyway) there's 5 of them already. Guess I just really, really love to play Fighters EDIT: @Boeroer - the implications of that title would likely have the thread moved to an X-rated forum
  16. So I've been doing some testing with Tidefall on the LoP, seeing as it was my original weapon of choice before I went BotEP and obsessed over getting zero recovery for the build. With 20 DEX (and keeping INT at 10) and swapping the Sanguine Plate for Osric's Family Armor, I could get down to a 10.4-frame recovery using Vulnerable Attack: Recovery : 100% + 40% breastplate + 20% Vulnerable Attack - 20% Armored Grace - 15% Durgan Steel = 125% Bonuses : 50% DAOM * 15% Gauntlets of Swift Action * 15% Durgan Steel = 98% 125% - 98% = 27% recovery before DEX On a two-hander, that's 50 * 27% = 13.5 frames With 20 DEX, or a 30% action speed bonus, it becomes 13.5 / (1+0.3) = 10.4 frames (and of course the attack animation also plays 30% faster) That's pretty good considering Tidefall gets a lash and the Legendary enchantment on top of Wounding and healing back 20% of the damage you deal (as has been mentioned, of course.) Besides, Osric's Family Armor looks pretty neat on its own, and with Maegfolc Skull as well. You give up 4 DR and 10 frames of recovery and gain quite a bit of extra DPS. I still really like to use the BotEP and get 0 recovery, but this is yet another way the LoP can be built to look badass while kicking ass
  17. Potions of DAOM last more than enough for me on PotD. Granted, the first half of the game won't be one where you can sustain 0 recovery all the time, but pretty much all fights that matter are in the second half anyway If you need the potion to last longer, you can do so via Survival bonuses.
