  1. Obviously! For some reason I was only thinking about a nimble-fingered thief.
  2. Just for reference for more speculation: 1. Human Fighter Edair 2. Human Priest Cadegund 3. Human Monk Forton 4. Elf Wizard Aloth 5. Dwarf Ranger Sagani Speculation time! And I am way more interested in possible character outcomes (dialogue/personality/profession/way of life etc. etc.) from the class rather than functionality: 6. Orlan... - If Barbarian, possibly obnoxious pipsqueak battlemongrel :/ - If Cipher, then it is probably the detective I think the god-like human with the horns is a druid or a paladin. Probably a druid. And I believe an Aumaua CNPC is yet to be revealed. But no rogue CNPC? An Aumaua rogue? Hmmm... Sounds odd but why not? I can't picture PE without a rogue CNPC, at least as an option. So for my first playthrough I'll get to play as a barbarian, a chanter or a paladin. Interesting! Of course this just pure speculation.
  3. Once again, thank you for the update. Basically everything about PE so far is to my liking (well... maybe Forton's stance in the concept art is the only exception ). And about BG2... It is still one of my favorite games of all time but I understand the criticisim and I agree on most points stated by Sawyer and others.
  4. Eeexcellent. Especially the character models. And the dynamic water, movement in foliage, and dynamic lighting. And the music and sounds. And the feel.
  5. Interesting read. http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2013/04/04/obsidians-avellone-on-torment-kotor-2-alpha-protocol/
  6. "Ranger = A keeper, guardian, or soldier who ranges over a region (generally of wilderness) to protect the area or enforce the law." I think tha's a good definition. The term "ranger" is more versatile compared to "hunter".
  7. Thank you for the update, once again. No pressure but this is the game I have been waiting for since I learned computer games exist... or since I was born. Anyhow, looking forward to future updates and eventually playing the game.
  8. Thanks for the great update, once again. Always looking forward to wednesday mornings!
  9. I like the PE Paladin class concept.

  11. There's something I want to ask... Is it possible to upgrade my OOoE title to "Forlorn Hope Soldier of the Obsidian Order"? At first I put "Forlorn Hope Soldier of the Obsidian Order" but I may have read the instructions a bit sloppily and I guess it should've been "Forlorn Hope - Forlorn Hope Soldier of the Obsidian Order". I don't even know if its grammatically correct to say so but "Soldier" is a bit too...bland. Sorry for the hassle. If the title cannot be changed - it's ok.
  12. LordCrash thank you very much for your work with the shield(s). Looking mighty fine!
  13. Armour Field Armor of King Henry VIII of England This armor looks very intimidating. I like the coloring and the use of leather together with steel. The helmet is neat-looking too. In my opinion this armor would be perfect for an enemy boss. Weapon Falchion An extremly vicious looking weapon. Beautiful, yet deadly.
  14. I like this post, and I like you. lol Haha, thank you for your kind words. The forums are going crazy! Well it's good people are passionate about this game... I guess.
  15. I think evading bonuses and the like for light armored characters are enough. I don't think fighters etc. should be punished for wearing heavy armor because they usually take the most hits and stamina is like hit points in the game. And besides, heavy armor wasn't so heavy as usually people think it was.. But sleeping in armor is silly.
  16. And no man would be caught with that on the battlefield. I have to disagree on that. I'm pretty sure the design was used in combat and tournaments. Everything I've read (and remember) said the phallus cod-pieces came into vogue once armor became about fashion rather than function. Dunno if what I've gathered over the years is accurate, but I'd think a protrusion in your armor right there that could easily take a hit (intentionally or accidentally) would be something you'd not want to encourage. You are partly correct: "Thus the codpiece is usually found on armor used for fighting on foot, both in war and tournament, and, although of some protective value, it has always been as much an element of fashion as one of defense." http://www.metmuseum.org/toah/hd/aams/hd_aams.htm#weight_b

  18. I suggest that everybody interested in arms and armor in the medieveal and Renaissance era should check out the MET's webpages. I got the chance to visit MET a couple of years ago and I was overjoyed. Since PE gets their inspiration for their world from the aforementioned era they should check out these too. Maybe they already have their sources figured out but more inspiration is never bad, eh? Check them out yourself: http://www.metmuseum.org/toah/hd/afas16/hd_afas16.htm http://www.metmuseum.org/toah/hd/arms/hd_arms.htm http://www.metmuseum.org/toah/hd/rarm/hd_rarm.htm http://www.metmuseum.org/toah/hd/aams/hd_aams.htm http://www.metmuseum.org/collections/galleries/arms-and-armor/377 http://www.metmuseum.org/collections/galleries/arms-and-armor/379 http://www.metmuseum.org/collections/galleries/arms-and-armor/373 And some of my favorite armors: http://www.metmuseum.org/Collections/search-the-collections/40014282 http://www.metmuseum.org/toah/works-of-art/27.177.1,2 http://www.metmuseum.org/Collections/search-the-collections/40001226?rpp=20&pg=1&gallerynos=371&ao=on&ft=*&pos=9 You get the picture.
  19. I'd like my pet to be a boar piglet... with a little hat. A wolf would be pretty cool also but I think they are going for something smaller.
  20. And yet that would not endanger the wearer...ignoring the fact he's probably compensating and can't actually fill it out. I kid I kid. I think you're not too far from the truth!
  21. http://www.collegehu...m/picture/54286 King Henry VIII was a "great" man http://oxthep.../img.../img_1446ed.jpg and an interesting read:http://suite1...le-ages-a321942 Maybe I'm a little off-topic now...

  23. I'd like to see the god of romance and love and also the god of anti-romance and wrath and last but not least, I'd like to see the mad god of gender roles!
  24. OE will end up doing three female gods: One clad in full plate mail (not boobplate!) wearing a burqa, one wearing nothing but a pair of double d's and make up and the third will be something in between the other two. Of course each deity will have their loyal worshippers and missionaries spread across the world.
  25. Excellent ideas. However, I think Josh Sawyer (?) mentioned that they don't want to make enemies immune to some specific forms of damage e.g normal wepons. A melee based party or someone soloing PE with a fighter would be in serious trouble against disembodied souls.
