  1. Leftist guerillas will firebomb a nazi building and liberals will become nazis to prove they are the "tolerant left". https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RJeugIJFXas
  2. OP has a point, PoE's XP curve and level cap was not very good, I think I was at level 10 before the end of Act2 and hit the cap(12 at the time) when I reached the second city. So I just hired some adventurers because the companions had bad stats and ignored the side quests to power through and fight the final boss. That said it should be possible to hit the cap before the last boss/dungeon is initiated. Perhaps doing 85% of content should be enough to hit the level cap, maybe up XP rewards for the critical path if you need to level crit path players enough for the endgame content.
  3. Yes. Remember the election that just happened? He was pretty much the Stalin of the French Revolution and toppling the government and executing the previous rulers is fairly extreme. Well yeah because it's clear you have no idea what you're talking about. If you're going to drag Marx into every discussion, at least bother to read more than a wikipedia article.https://www.marxists.org/archive/marx/works/1875/gotha/At the very least read that so you can stop claiming Germany's social democracy is what Marx actually wanted. See, you simply misunderstood me. I was not saying that 18th Century communist Marx would have supported our social democracy. I was saying that if Marx was born today, he probably would be satisfied enough to be a social democrat (rather than a communist). This is simply because a social market system is very different from Victorian capitalism.it's similar to saying Adam Smith would probably today be a social democrat as well (which I agree with) rather than a liberal (in the European sense)... it's an argument about their intentions behind their theories, not the theories themselves.A biographical discussion, not theory based. Then it becomes even more clear you haven't read their work if that's the conclusion you've drawn.

  5. And neither have you. If you're going to constantly use Marx as your only frame of reference, at least bother to read something he wrote.
  6. Does the word "Oxymoron" ring a bell??? How so? Is regulation by private entities such as ISPs or media companies more palpable than if it comes from a state?
  7. I think some as dungeon or exploration challenges can be fun, and as curry said helps you learn combat. On the other hand if they are truly trash they don't prepare you well for boss fights and scripted encounters where there will be traps or other tactical obstacles. Personally I'd say a little trash and a decent amount of designed encounters would be fun.
  8. Kain Parker sits enjoying the view of his high rise, effortlessly comfortable in his Italian leather drinking chair. Below him the fires of the anime riots burn bright, casting his shadow high on the ceiling above him. Kain slowly rubs his hands together excitedly as he takes in the sight of sub-forums consuming themselves. "Yes," he muses to himself "yes...." I've been found out.
  9. What's ths chance of getting my krakens and where's the numbers for paypal or slackerbacker?
  10. Seeing the asshurt anything vaguely animeish induces, I hope Ydwin is a distillation of all anime tropes into one character and half the game is the plot of a harem anime.
  11. We should make viewing porn mandatory at least weekly, with a lottery that determines what you end up with.
  12. Rare is how steak should be served and anyone who disagrees must like ass to mouth because they have **** taste.
  13. First taco bowls and now this? What's next, earl grey tea or vanilla protein powder?
  14. Something to keep in mind is that with Kickstarter you could give just a dollar so it's likely when the mega dungeon was announced at least some of the backers were $1 donations to inflate the amount of levels. While something similar could have happened with Fig, the minimum of $5 probably hamstrung a lot of that and I'd wager a higher % of Fig backers are not alts of existing backers. Still that leaves us with about 1.84 mil less from backers when compared to Project Eternity, with investors floating a lot more of Deadfire. I suppose some were wary of Fig and some wanted Paypal anyways, but it's going to be hard to say how many end up using paypal or slackback in time to meet any stretch goals.
  15. I believe all abilities are per-encounter and there's a new per-rest resource called empower that boosts the power of abilities by 3 levels. So a 5th level wizard can toss 1 fireball per-encounter and use empower that makes it deal damage like a 8th level wizard. There's also talk of a revamped health system but I don't know much about it.
  16. Katanas were **** in most DnD cRPGs. Either they require a special feat for a measly 2 potential max damage or pips for a type that is really rare and the best vanilla is a +4 with some immunity. Saber already takes the mechanical place of Katana in PoE and I'll settle for sabers that can compete with swords or axes rather than a super katana that I unsheath before teleporting behind kids. Shruiken or polearms would be better if we're talking oriental weapons anyways, but we need Knight to get something else first.
  17. It's a political RPG where you run a presidetial campaign.
  18. I believe it gets an accuracy bonus which translates into more crits if I understand the system. Not as useful as two-handers in practice, but that's because of the DT system.
