What are you Playing Now? - Right Now at the moment edition

Hmm FM could be the name for a cool series of Radio Host Simulators. Don't listen to the Deb of Night, be the Deb of Night. Create playlists to attract certain audiences and establish yourself in the city's subcultures. Try to appeal to the masses and mainstream success. Wrangle callers live on air. Play for the sleepless, play for the morning crowd. And uncover a dark conspiracy in your city. Or don't and just settle for cash and local fame. -

Shadowrun Returns was a disaster of mismanaged funds and lack of experience in basically every area other than the setting. It was a fun little Shadowrun game though and the story was good. It would have been better as an old school novel. In print. On paper. Dragonfall was the good game they had promised in the Returns Kickstarter. I wouldn't mind a AAA open world Shadowrun... Just directly the director's cut and three years of post release bug fixing that make that kind of game playable. -

Even samer here. Dragonfall left me with eagerness to move on to Hong Kong. Hong Kong made that eagerness fizzle. -

On Instagram I started counting how many "sponsored" posts show up for every post of a person I follow. It is about 12 - 1. -

Finished Necromunda: Hired Gun. The game is a fun fast paced shooter I guess (it isn't my genre, so I do not know what the criteria are). They put in a lot of effort to craft the maps. The voice acting exists. I found some npcs to not talk loud enough. The story also exists. I am not sure it should. It requires the audience to care about a very specific Necromunda character and to have read the novels and comics. Even then, it still is pointless. -

I gave up on Troubleshooter two missions before the end of the second DLC. The difficulty in later content just ramped up too much, requiring delving into mechanics a lot more to counter all the defenses of various enemies with very specific builds. It just is too much hassle and the story has dragged on longer than necessary anyway. -

Quiz: Can you guess who finds things to do other than the work they are supposed to do? (Answer at the end of post) The thing I like best about Necromunda: Hired Gun, other than that AA charm that AAA for all their production value so often fail to have, is a tiny detail: When sentries first spot you, in many games they will go through variations of "Who's there?" "I think I heard something..." "Is somebody there?" "What are you doing here?" "You are not supposed to be here!" "Intruder!" In Necromunda: Hired Gun it is "He's here!" or "She's here!" Showing that they know who you are and know that you were the imminent threat to them. It is a tiny line, but it does more to tie my character into the mission fighting generic mooks than most games with fancy writers. Quiz Answer: melkathi -

*grumble* If I were a dev, I'd make cooperative achievements that the community unlocks together... -

Necromunda: Hired Gun has an achievement to kill 100 enemies while wallrunning. I don't think I have killed any enemies while wallrunning at all... -
Watched that Shogun season 1. Found it rather meh because they couldn't get me to care even remotely about any of the male characters, most of all the protagonist.

And yet, his voters do love him. And if he were to totally copy Kim, there'd be a lot less US meddling in the rest of the world. He'd be far more suitable for a Noble Peace Prize than Obama ever was.

If anything, it demonstrates another extremely flawed system. Happy Corbyn did well. Not surprised but still disappointed Galloway didn't. Congratulations to Ayoub Khan who won in my old neighbourhood.

Remember the era when they would fill out all the fields in their profile and you'd recognise a spam bot by the fact they had three hobbies listed? -

Which story realm? Usually people have trouble with Grexolis from the base game. The archon orc beating them into a pulp. I found this mission hard the first try, as the Age of Wonders series usually favours aggressive play styles. Grexolis on the other hand I found it best to hang back and let other wizards draw the attention of eachother. Your AI allies can take a beating for a while. Then you help them against the other faction, and eventually you'll power through the orc.
