  1. F F S Tooth broke again. 33 hours and 40 minutes after the dentist said "Eventually this part will break." Maybe not next week. Maybe in a year... He should have listened to me when I said he was being too optimistic.
  2. If you are not fanatical enough in your conversations with Argenta, she has a crisis of faith, simply fails her companion quest and becomes a Repentia fan service nun for teenage boy Warhammer fans. She then gets an insignificant buff when not wearing armour. Incidentally, the only item in the game that also buffs characters when not wearing armour is for psykers and not for her.
  3. Nearly done with Rogue Trader. Both as in nearly completed it, but also nearly at the point where it is more annoyance than fun. My party is so powerful, most fights are finished before the opponents get to act. Level ups are boring. I have run out of things to pick at level up, meaning most times I pick the options I chose not to pick earlier in the game, not because now they have become interesting, but because I already have everything else. I have gotten to the point where I don't necessarily do the level up right away and simply continue playing. There are way too many skill checks. And since you are at silly high skill levels, the game throws silly high penalties at you to make the checks *interesting* - Check for Lore-Xenos with a -100 penalty, since you have at least one character with 150 in any given skill. *yawn* Throwing arbitrary, ridiculous penalties around does not make the game interesting, it just shows your advancement system wasn't balanced. Companion quests are WTF. Suddenly at the end of chapter 4 you discover that all interactions fed into a hidden counter and suddenly your companion decides that she wants to be a masochistic nudist because at the end of the prologue you were nice to the orphans. It doesn't help that there are still bugs in the later chapters. The guy I executed early in Act 4 showing up at the start of Act 5 to help me. But god, that overabundance of skill checks. Those and the environmental hazards. At least I know I will not be getting the DLCs. No way I'll endure this game a second time.
  4. Those two posts are surprisingly fitting. Once Hurlshot joins the HOA cult, Azdeus will give him an imhotep injection as well, and both will shamble down the street in Hurlshot's neigbourhood chanting "Imhotep. Imhotep."
  5. Report him to Hurlshot. Let's see what the Homeowners Association will do about it!
  6. This tooth had a very old filling which had to be changed a few times. So it was the problem tooth anyway. The good thing is the nerve is already dead because all dentists I know said "Yeah, this tooth will cause trouble again eventually". It wasn't completely unexpected. Still annoying. At least it doesn't hurt.
  7. Tried out the fairly new lebanefe reftaurant. Broke a toof. Obvioufly all the dentiftf I know are on holiday.
  8. To make matters worse, there will be two people who did not win but know things would be better if they were on the board.
  9. I still think we'd be better friends if we storm the offices if he wins.
  10. Ugh. You volunteer for that? Do you need us to mount a rescue operation? Are you in trouble? I am selling my apartment to get out of that.
  11. Strange french lady on whatsapp now asked me for photos since "we have been talking for so long but don't really know each other" On an unrelated note, instead of "each other" I typed "eachotehr" which autocorrect tried to change to "tachometer".
  12. It is a shame that pre-release you could hardly even look for a release date without the Devs spoilering everything about the plot. So many parts of the game it would be so nice not to already know basically everything - who you will meet, where the next chapter will take you, what the big "plot twists" will be. The devs were so eager to tell everything, if anyone met them on the street and asked for the way, they probably first told them all about this game's plot before telling them that they don't know the way either.
  13. I think someone is trying to catfish me. Got a random call from a lady in France the other day. Her friend gave her my number, since she is coming to Athens and I am apparently the person to talk to. And now I could remember her number for Whatsapp. So since that wouldn't be the first time hotel guests are weird in communication, I sent a message to the number on Whatsapp so she could contact me. Turns out she apparently was trying to contact a real estate agent and must have gotten the number wrong. She was positively surprised by how nice I was about the whole thing. Since then she messages me every day. I am waiting for when she asks for money.
  14. 1) It is quite fascinating that there is hardly any wiki and game guide stuff out there. So many choices and at best one Reddit discussion talking about there not being any info. 2) Shady, can you edit the title of this thread to capitalise the first letter? I went all the way to page six searching for it as I wouldn't notice it being all lowercase
  15. Because voice actors liked by a lot of people are rare to find.
  16. Depending on the homestead, different random critters will attack. My theory is that basically it simply wasn't really possible for the Devs to stop nearby random spawns the moment you buy the property. The guard you get for the homestead usually will kill any of the spawns easily. Even the odd giant attacking that one homestead...
  17. Your goal is to reach a 40.000 death count and turn your play through into Warhammer performance fan art?
  18. I had a room in Novac where I had one of each cooking ingredient in the fridge. Meat like skewers etc and a pilot light in the oven. One of each clothing/armour in the wardrobe. One of each weapon in a box. Crafting material in a different container. Books, and household junk in the dresser... I do not see a problem. Then again, I sneak skill books into the chest in my children's bedroom in skyrim, to get them reading.
  19. You can find a dog and keep it. It is quite buggy. As you noticed, it can mess with combat. Before you adopt it, if the dog event coincides with a dragon, the dog can insta kill the dragon. If you have children, a child may randomly ask if they can keep the dog. Then the dog will hang out at your home but there is a bug and it might despawn. Children can bring other animals home, for example a fox. These aren't buggy, but as they follow the child around, if you live in one of the homesteads, as those can spawn attacks (or rats in the basement), the pet may get killed.
  20. I seriously dislike Kevin Hart. Or at least his acting. So I don't think I'll force myself to endure this.
  21. Did the Fidelio quest in Rogue Trader. This time I chose not to pretend to be Fidelio, instead investigating who really is. Interesting how different the quest plays out. Got almost the same outcome though, with just a few more people alive, as some who tried to kill me last time were smarter this time.
  22. Booking dot com is pressuring hotels to raise commission to 25% 😕 In 2015 it was 10% with the option to do 15% for increased visibility. Then 15% became the standard and you had to give 20% to enter the genius program of select hotels pushed to good customers. Then they changed the genius program, while keeping the name, removing all benefits for the hotels, but hey, if you reduce the commission, we'll drop you to page 20. But customers are happy paying a quarter of their travel costs to parasitic sites. Why would gaming be different?
  23. Started again with Rogue Trader. Tried to see if there is an optimal way of doing the first chapter. In Dragon Age Origins, the optimal play was to not finish areas, but to hop back and forth to unlock always just enough to get a better outcome somewhere else. (Mainly to help the possessed child) Rogue Trader it turns out locks in where you have gone first on arrival. Land, take off, go somewhere else and do that first will still act as if you spent time in the first option. At the same time, minor flavour items will react to the actual order you did things, referencing that npcs are dead even though in the grand scheme the game state of the location thinks you haven't been to where you'd kill those NPCs.
  24. Finished the Lost Valley in Solasta. Did not expect the plot twist. Sided with the people and failed the actual job your party is originally hired to do. Had fun.
