I guess it's good the Rams won because had the Bengals won it would have been highway robbery. That 75 yard TD was the most blatantly obvious offensive pass interference possibly in the history of the NFL. It was so egregious that it should have counted as 3 penalties (not to mention been called). Anyway, Joe Burrow is terrific but they desperately need to get him an O-Line. The Bengals pass protection was effectively nonexistent.

The TV and Streaming Thread: Where is Ricky Gervais when you need him???

If Nu Trek wasn't called Star Trek, well, it still wouldn't be great because the stories are more hole than plot, but it would be a cromulent enough collection of turn your brain off action adventure movies and shows. The production value is really high and there's plenty of pew pew pew, flashing bright lights, and sappy melodrama. There's nothing wrong with sci-fi action adventure shows with melodrama, I've enjoyed some of them. What made Star Trek special is that it was different. It occasionally had action but it wasn't an action show. It occasionally had melodrama, but not often. It was about a glorious future where humans got their $#!+ together and left behind their petty squabbles and explored the universe while getting into wacky situations that they solved with brains and words, rarely fists and phasers. Nu Trek is a generic sci-fi action show just with extra stupid writing. -
When they stop moving the goal posts every few weeks I'll reevaluate.

I think the most shocking thing is that this is a numbered sequel and not Sonic: Retaliation or something.

I haven't even tried watching Picard yet, nor do I plan to, not after my experience with Discovery. Despite Alex Kurtzman and Akiva Goldsman being involved, I felt I had to check out a new Star Trek show and at least give it a chance. I lasted... 4 episodes, I think. I will say that Tilly was a fun character, I like her, but Burnham... Dear God in Heaven, and this is not against the actor, she's just working with what she's given, but I'm not sure I ever wanted to reach through the screen and strangle somebody so much. This would be fine if she was an antagonist, but when your show's main protagonist is so shockingly unlikable, I'm going to go out on a limb and say that's a problem. -

I'm close to finishing Castlevania: Circle of the Moon. I've dabbled in going through the Battle Arena, though I'm not nearly strong enough to go through all 17 rooms yet. I'm not sure if I'll ever go through all of it, because it's a brutal slog, though the Shining Armor you get for completing the Battle Arena is really great. Still, I may be better served farming Lilith for the Sage Robe, though I currently lack the cards to make that fight easy and without the proper cards it's a rough battle (she gives a ton of XP though). My best bet might to farm Lilith's daughter, Lilim, for Dark Armor, which is arguably the best armor in the game. It's a rare drop but Lilim is much easier to kill than Lilith. -

@AmentepYou actually made it through the entire season? Hats off to you good sir or madam, you have a stronger stomach than I do. -
I just find it hilarious how so many people are blindly taking the claims of Big Pharma, and Pfizer in particular, at face value and parroting, verbatim in some cases of the corporate press, everything they say. What a reputable company with a sterling reputation that Pfizer, they never steered us wrong before. Hey, remember the time they walked away from a deal to reduce to cost of AIDS medicine for poor countries? How about the time their hormone replacement drug was causing breast cancer? Or that time they ran trials of their drug during a meningitis epidemic in Nigeria and purposely gave the control group lower than normal amounts of antibiotics to make their own drug look better, leading to several deaths. I could go on, but that's all in the past, water under the bridge. I'm sure Pfizer is definitely completely on the up and up now. They would definitely not use this unique opportunity to make ludicrous amounts of money during a worldwide pandemic to squeeze out as much profit as possible. They definitely only have our best interests at heart and would never steer us wrong.

I had one J&J shot nearly a year ago, no boosters, no plan to get a booster. They've lied to us The science has changed so many times that I don't believe a single word out of Fauci's mouth at this point.

I'm back to my greasy breakfast ways: It's the standard greasy breakfast ingredients bacon, eggs, and potatoes along with some cheddar cheese because I happen to have some that I need to use up. Rather than have separate strips of bacon and eggs and tater slices, I just chop or grate everything and mix it together. I don't care about presentation when cooking for myself. It's tasty and it fills my belly, that's good enough for me.

I haven't watched Boba Fatt but I can't escape seeing clips or stills of the show since some of my followed content creators make videos about it. Anyway, I just realized that Ming-Na Wen is 58 years old and it broke my brain. Are they using some CGI de-aging trickery on her? Is she a vampire? Does she drink a gallon of freshly squeezed infant blood every morning? How in the world does she look that amazing at 58? -
Interestingly, wasabi peas are not listed yet I see what looks like wasabi peas in there. Are there wasabi peas in there? If not, what are the green balls?

Over the years I've eaten many a snack mix. The ingredients vary in different varieties, but I have found that consistently my favorite part of most snack mixes is the sesame stick. So I got the brilliant idea to cut out all the other lesser parts of the snack mix and just buy sesame sticks. I don't generally see just sesame sticks on a shelf of my local grocery store. I'm sure there are specialty stores that do stock them, but also the internet is a thing. Anyway, I ordered a whole case since it was much cheaper to buy in bulk.

I hope it stays that way. It's just that my default state of mind for anything to do with AAA gaming is to assume the greediest course of action. Not to mention that Daisy shouldn't be an extra in Nintendo's sports games. I can begrudgingly accept that she gets no love in the mainline Mario games, but in the sports spinoffs she should always be a core character given that she's the tomboy of the princess bunch.
-
Nintendo would be greedy to charge for a Princess Daisy DLC, wouldn't they?
-
This is a travesty. Daisy has been my main in any kart and sports game. She's way better than that floozie Peach and that hack fraud Rosalina. This killed any and all interest I had in the new Strikers. Nintendo is such a frustrating company. They can never just take a step forward, it's always accompanied with at least one step back. After 19 years they finally release a new 2D Metroid and it's phenomenal. They follow that up by embracing NFTs when most other companies are backing away due to backlash and by removing the best character from the new Strikers. On a more lighthearted note, they are adding 2 new difficulties to Metroid Dread, including an extra easy mode that the internet has dubbed David Jaffe Mode.

I can't laugh at you, I'm one of the other 9 people that owns a Wii U. Musou games are definitely not for everyone My favorite of the bunch is Dragon Quest Heroes 2. I never played the first, but word round the campfire is that it was essentially Dynasty Warriors with a Dragon Quest coat of paint. 2 is more of a hybrid of a musou and an open(ish) world RPG. -

I played a bit of the Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity demo. It's a musou with pointy-eared green tunic boy & co. I am impressed by the variety of play styles, given that I've only played as 3 characters so far. I started out as Link, obviously, and he plays like a standard Dynasty Warriors or Samurai Warriors character. It's the standard 2 button musou controls with a regular attack and a heavy attack that acts as your combo finisher and it changes depending on how many regular attacks you performed prior to the heavy attack. It's Dynasty Warriors controls. Then I got to play as Impa who plays completely differently. She essentially casts different spells depending on how many regular attacks you used before the heavy and that manifests different objects onto the battlefield that you can then essentially detonate. Plus, she can teleport from target to target. It looks cool as **** but it's rather disorienting. Zelda seems really weak but that's probably because I haven't figured out how to play her properly yet. She conjures(?) a rainbow colored cube on a chain and swings it around then casts a spell or something. I dunno, it's really weird and I haven't gotten the hang of her moveset yet. -

Destiny 3: Back in Training? Destiny 3: Rise of the Machines? Destiny: Tokyo Drift? ... I'm not sure what movie series to reference for a 3rd entry. 2nd is easy, Electric Boogaloo is the gold standard.
