  1. The Sony Pictures logo doesn't exactly inspire confidence, but otherwise this looks like it might be a fun movie.
  2. Brisco County - EP 2 Socrates' Sister Brisco captures Jack Randolph, a member of the Bly Gang. Jack hires Socrates' sister Iphigenia (their parents get top marks in the baby naming category) as his defense lawyer. This is a completely self-contained episode, it doesn't tie into the overarching plot with the orb at all. Pete is inexplicably back in this episode and no worse for the wear after getting shot and presumably killed in the pilot. No explanation is given, I guess it was just a flesh wound. I'm willing to overlook it since Pete is the greatest. This episode mainly focuses on Socrates, his sister, Brisco, and Professor Wickwire. Lord Bowler is in full-on comedy mode. Dixie doesn't appear in this episode, neither does John Bly. Overall it was a fun little adventure and better paced and structured than the pilot, even if if did nothing to advance the overarching plot (which will never be resolved anyway).
  3. Brisco County - EP1 Pilot Chinese railroad workers discover the orb. The Bly Gang escapes captivity via a gag straight out of Roadrunner and Wile E Coyote. Brisco inadvertently infiltrates Big Smith's gang then touches Pete's piece. Pilot episodes are notorious for being bad, but this was pretty solid. It was mainly an introduction to the cast and a first glimpse of the orb's powers. Pete was the star of the show, he was wonderfully goofy. John Bly was also delightful, but he wasn't in the episode that much.
  4. Time to revisit an old friend I haven't seen in almost 30 years: My buddy and I watched this show religiously when it was on TV. He was a HUGE fan of Wild Wild West (the TV show), we both loved Bruce Campbell (who doesn't?), this was completely up our alleys. I remember absolutely loving this show then being horribly crushed when it got canned after season 1. That cancellation hurt worse than Firefly getting yanked. Will it hold up? I'll report back.
  5. I like to put my wheel of pain right on the edge of a cliff. It gives my captives recruits a new perspective on things.
  6. I've met some Ukranians, they're generally far less creepy than Ewoks.
  7. I hate to be that guy (that's a lie ) but there's only 1 Great Pyramid of Giza aka Pyramid of Khufu. The other 2 are the Pyramid of Khafre and the Pyramid of Menkaure.
  8. I'm assuming it still follows Piranha Bytes' design philosophy of no level scaling whatsoever. Also that they may drop you a hint that you probably shouldn't go in that direction at low level, but if you insist you can and you will get horribly murdered. Correct?
  9. When given the choice of Eurojank or literally anything else, Eurojank is always the correct choice.
  10. Wait, do people really hate DA:O? I've long held the belief that DA:O is overrated, but by overrated I mean that it's good, just not the masterpiece that so many people hailed it as when it first released. The Ogrimmar part (or parts if you played a dwarf) were legitimately great. The rest of the game was decent. P.S. You should always play a dwarf, they have by far the most interesting intros.
  11. Andromeda had its issues, true, but that doesn't take away from 6 seasons of the glorious campy goodness that was Hercules: The Legendary Journeys. Plus, that show spawned the GOD-TIER Xena: Warrior Princess which gave us so much joy, including the single greatest sequence in cinematic history:* * This is hyperbole. The true greatest sequence in cinematic history is obviously ED-209 going haywire on Kenny in the original Robocop.
  12. Slow down, I'm not that easy. You gotta take me out to a nice dinner and a movie first.
  13. Mass Effect 1 had the strongest main villain and the most stat, skill, and equipment finagling, but the shooter mechanics were super garbage and the classes all felt really similar. 2 had much of the stat and equipment finagling stripped out but ironically allowed for much more variety in playstyle because the classes actually felt distinct. Also, the shooter mechanics were improved from super garbage to acceptable. Also also, while the game lacked a strong main villain, the overall story about assembling a rag tag group of misfits to save the galaxy was duper duper fun. 3 was a mostly joyless slog and it had Kai Leng, so it can **** off. The astonishing stupidity of the Strachild multicolored explosion endings was simplty the flies circling the pile of $#!+. Andromeda... We don't talk about Andromeda. Beyond the memes, what is there to talk about? P.S. I like Kevin Sorbo.
  14. Plot twist: They are actually talking about Cooking Mama: Cookstar.
  15. By that same logic said bottom dollar laptop might compare poorly to another bottom dollar laptop released a year or two later. I had that same epiphany roughly half a year ago.
  16. Ring? Pfft! The true grognards play games about the Silmarillions.
  17. So I guess the Mayans were off by 10 years.
  18. After more Lilim kills than I can count, probably over 100, I finally got a Dark Armor drop in Circle of the Moon. On the bright side, I went up 11 levels in the process. Anyway, now that I have one of the 3 top-tier armors in the game, it's time to kill Dracula.
  19. WARNING: LANGUAGE The most ruthless diss track of all time:
  20. Devil Summoner: Soul Hacker is one of the few MegaTen games I haven't played. Still, I'm excited for this.
