  1. Wow, a part 4! Welcome all new members! Let our Order define what Eternity holds in store for those who wait!
  2. No, they shall not be punished a single way for doing so. Hopefully, it is just a misunderstanding, or perhaps it is a matter of Adventurer Hall providing rare crafting options or help with strange recipes for rare enchanted items?
  3. A huge list of monsters is right up my alley! And don't forget that you can vary monsters quite a bit using the same models, so it should be a real encyclopedia of creatures out there: heaps of various undead and distorted humanoid races that all have one goal in common: Stealing your Boots of Orlankind!
  4. It's all a matter of game design and game testing. I agree with the OP on most points. I mean the potions in Skyrim, what were they for? Your lab? In NWN2, which I've certainly have played a lot, I think there were some potions that were well balanced: In Act I potions of cure disease and potions of cure poison were expensive, and still they could be a lifesaver. Often you were on a mission, then someone in your party got really ill, and without a potion then it was tough business. Also, the healing potions worked reasonably well in act I. I'd say that the CLW:s were too many, though. I think they should be rare, expensive and when used, have an important impact on the drinker. It should be something of a last resort, and not something you chug like a drunken sailor.
  5. Actually, the city is already in the bag, our rather in the pocket-plane, if you get the pun! If this pledge rate keeps on going and spike a bit at the end (Mind you, other KS-projects spiked a lot the last hours), we will be able to visit this wonderful urban place in a year and a half. Yipee!
  6. A big thanks to you, InkBlot, for your regular Q&A-post here! : I love reading them every day and will miss them sorely when the KS is over. I hope OEI will keep up something like this as the game development progresses.
  7. Me too. I want George Ziets' to be included with the great guys at Obsidian!
  8. Nice compromise for the inventory system, Bobby! And weight should really count for something.
  9. Those toffee apples and roasted chestnuts can be really hardcore, if used in archebusal bondage.... But what do I know.
  10. Did you know that you can survive three weeks without food? Here's a great formula: -3 minutes without air. -3 days without water. -3 weeks without food. That gives you a nice leeway for upping your pledge and getting rid of some extra kilos as well.
  11. *Tears streaming down my cheeks at the very thought of a true necropolis*
  12. Wombat, good point. Hopefully, they can make it optional. I love to search for myself, but my sense of directions is then of course otherworldly, or should I say stellar? *cough*
  13. The broodmother wasn't Grimdark, it was Muppet Show-grimdark.
  14. Nice find, Paradox-fi! Now I'm happy! And a warm welcome to the forums!
  15. 350,000 dollars left now. If all those early pledgers just add 10 dollars, the 2nd city is up and running! Go, piggybank robbers, go!
  16. So that's why you need to resort to stealing! And by the way, here's a protip: Sell your grandmothers and their estates, it works. Trust me...
  17. Neither Bioware nor Diablo III is even near Grimdark. But all I care about is that it is well-written. MotB wasn't that dark, but it was fantastic! But Planescape often had it just right. Hmm, difficult...
  18. Caranthir, apparently you can. Someone asked the same thing and the answer has been posted by a Facebook-user on Obsidian's Facebook page. Click a like there while you're at it, folks!
  19. Yay! Another level of Mega Dungeon should be achieved by now! It's like 61,400 backer on KS-page and at least a 1 000 PayPal-backers, double digits now!!
  20. Like your new cool profile. I'd like to see Adam dressed up like that guy. That would be a real gold-n-honey pot, no?
  21. Hey, a friend just asked me a question that I simply couldn't find an answer to: In certain tiers you get more than one download/copy of vanilla PE. Then it says "expansion included". Will that be just one XP, but several vanilla PE? Imagine those higher tiers with tens of copies and then just one expansion. I have no clue.
  22. A huge yay! Fantastic! Psychologically, 3 Mill will hopefully make a big difference in the last days of pledging. Now, let's get that city!
  23. Kai, this is very interesting. I think I would appreciate such a system too!
  24. This goes without saying, Rabain. I agree with you 100 %. However, my point is that all CRPGs /from the best to the worst) already have built-in difficulty variety and hard-to-find stuff, and this has always been rewarded in countless ways. And that rewarding is central to CRPGs, and that is in no way "elitism". Therefore, should other immersion/difficulty settings/modes include some reward, that is not elitism either. It is just part of the reward-psychology of the game.
