  1. I think it could be done externally, when the game comes out and we get our modding tools, create a faction called the Obsidian order and all the members who care can submit a character file (what ever they use) to be inserted into an Obsidian Order mod. As people have said, trying to include us for an 8 dollar increase is a bit of a stretch when they want so much more in their higher tiers for similar privileges.
  2. Nearly half way to 20k likes. I mean 3k since the beginning of this thread. Not too bad
  3. At least you took the time to correct yourself can you not edit your first post dlux?
  4. Hells yeah, first level added :D bring on the next 2,500 backers
  5. Lets add paypal at the end and see if we get a new dungeon, for now lets just count the ones we can see, and we get one in 5 backers time...
  6. 66 backers til next level. Yes, this is a simple bump but... squuueeeeeeeeeeeeee! :D
  7. The flaming fist is the Law and Order along the sword coast mainly known from the Baldurs Gate series of games. "We serve the flaming fist" is their motto. I have killed many, MANY flaming fist members in my time.
  8. Someone mentioned something about powers gained from tattoos which I think is a really nice idea. Ink, one of the new X-men has this sort of this, getting tattoos from a mutant tattoo artist that gave him mutant like abilities. I would be cool if tattoos could be used to unleash certain powers from the soul, and by focusing through the images the Monk gains his/her power. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ink_(comics)
  9. Maybe they just had 3 stretch goals already planned out, fully realised and decided upon. There is always the chance they are in the planning stages for x amount more.
  10. What you people don't seem to be realising is he is shouting something while he is attacking. That something is "FALCON PUNCH!"
  11. I seem to be agreeing with you Umberlin, post after post. Keep up the good work
  12. Noober mk.2, (twins) designed and portrayed by Trey and Matt. Called it.
  13. I think the Paladin should be available, perhaps as a sub class, kit or prestige. Maybe a paladin is a priest who has taken the route of a fighter, or vice versa. I think the idea of earning the title of Paladin is also a good idea. As for the bard, perhaps a special line or specialisation could allow a thief to become a bard, once again as a subclass, kit or prestige (however they plan on doing classes). They are pretty much thieves with a little spell casting and area buff/de-buffs in many games, so it could be incorporated into thief I believe.
  14. I myself like the concepts all coming together and I think the art has a fantastic feel to it. The monk is something I like and depending on how they take the monks possible spirituality and abilities will determine if I deem his attire suitable or not. For me, as stated in the monk thread, the Monk could have a sort of spiritual barrier for shielding and parrying, utilising his deep spiritual training which has unlocked specific energies from his/her soul. It would work similarly to an A.T. Field from the Evangelion series. http://wiki.evageeks.org/A.T._Field Barriers (such as clothing) could possibly hinder the soul creating this barrier, thus actually lowering his/her defensive capabilities. Thinner more flowing materials the better.
  15. The word cipher was around in medieval times so I think we are good.
  16. Tridents, Kamas, rapiers, maybe nets and bola's as skills/backup weapons. I do want to dual wield Kamas though haha
  17. I think Monks could be used as a spiritual and godly class, using soul based aura's for deflection and defence and then shattering them in a flurry of attacks. Basically you build up a defence to keep yourself alive in this harsh environment and then turn your defence to offence, leaving yourself vulnerable but dealing much more damage.
  18. Battle hardened squirrels, ready to annihilate any wrong doer I come across
  19. What i have been aiming for throughout this topic generally renders most of those issues obsolete. They are all very valid points and I will try and run down my ideas on what I want and how they avoid you issues 1) If mages can make their own spells and change existing ones then half the original spells will soon be obsolete or be changed to be overpoweringly good. a) For me only high level mages would be able to make spells, the more you add to a spell to make it epic, the higher level spell it would be (if they use levels, basically their equivalent) but it could also increase spell casting times, possibly need items for casting (like in pnp) or have a high failure rate. There would be many ways to stop the creation of "ultimate spells" while still giving us choice in what to make for our namesake mage 2)You could potentially alleviate certain drawbacks or make low level spells so effective that they make higher level spells useless in comparison. a) By doing so, they would no longer be low level spells but be the higher ones you mentioned. I do not wish to change the spells we get, merely have the ability to create some of our own utilising elements or abilities of the ones given. 3)Not to mention that this could make any mage type class into the perfect Swiss army knife: Trolls only take damage from fire? No problem! Reload and change all your relevant spells to deal fire damage and suddenly the fight became a joke. a) Well, many people often reload change spells and rest in games... but that doesn't matter. As for the swiss army knife, with my proposal you would create 3 maybe 4 spells in your name for the entire campaign. These can not be changed once they are made, they are your spells, scribed onto scrolls and into your spellbook. I am not suggesting changing spells on the fly or slotting things in and out. More a research over long periods of time and coming out with a cool original spell you name and you can use in the rest of your adventure. I hope this clears up any issues you may have regarding my idea and I completely understand all of the issues you raised, I would hate them all. But luckily none of them fit with what I envisaged when I made this thread
