rjshae replied to AndreaColombo's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)Or 'helmskith'? Nah, it would be too confusing.- Josh Sawyer's tweets and teasers
rjshae replied to AndreaColombo's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)Oh sure, kill off the only Dwarven companion. I don't suppose Konstanten is dwarven? His beard seems a bit on the puny side though.- A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the (Obsidian) Forum

Ok i hate WiLdRhYmErS. please fix ranger name. Just wanted to add to the general hate for this name. We will see. Barbarian/Cipher => Headbanger- For the (Dwarven) Ladies
rjshae replied to Umbersona's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)I'd heard a rumor that the dwarven ladies' beards are located further south. Playing a half-naked barbarian female dwarf could get a little hairy I suppose.- Class Respec
The Respec should be a giant sea snail that swallows you whole, sucks out most of your soul energy, then poops you out onto a beach somewhere with all new stats. Maybe you hear rumors about it in a Neketaka dive, just prior to the barf animations kicking in.- A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the (Obsidian) Forum
Where do I apply?- Just how big a success will Deadfire be in your opinion ?
rjshae replied to firkraag888's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)Well somebody's got a niche they need to scratch. As that famous philosopher Nietzsche would say, "Whoever fights monsters should see to it that in the process he does not become a monster. And if you gaze long enough into an abyss, the abyss will gaze back into you." Game on.- A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the (Obsidian) Forum
- Versus Evil announced as Deadfire's publisher
rjshae replied to AndreaColombo's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)The Tyranny promotions seemed to focus on your character "playing evil", which for me was a turn off. I might play the game some day just to see, but the initial impression prior to release wasn't a positive one.- A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the (Obsidian) Forum

Close enough...- Just how big a success will Deadfire be in your opinion ?
rjshae replied to firkraag888's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)I'm expecting that PoE2 will do at least as well as PoE, especially if they clean up some of the elements that were panned in PoE. The console edition of PoE seem to be getting well received. It wouldn't surprise me to see that double the total from just the PC sales.- Druids & Priests now pick spells individually
rjshae replied to Enoch's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)PoE has five skill types; it looks like PoE2 has 17. More skill types equals greater flexibility with character builds. You can probably build a character closer to what you want to play.- Druids & Priests now pick spells individually
rjshae replied to Enoch's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)I have this feeling that spell restrictions in PoE2 are going to take the place of limited skill types in PoE1 as one of the most disliked features about this release. Hopefully I'm wrong.- Druids & Priests now pick spells individually
rjshae replied to Enoch's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)Presumably they'll have talents that allow you to expand your spell selection range, if you want to build for maximum flexibility.- Wishlist and Suggestions for PoE2
rjshae replied to barafundle's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)How about a reverse dungeon? It can be a dungeon that's been mostly cleared out beforehand, but once we reach the end it turns out there's a vital reason why we need to keep it out of the hands of other potential adventurers. We then need to go around fixing the trap machinery, adding barrier puzzles, bringing in denizens to guard the levels, and generally making life miserable for all who follow.- A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the (Obsidian) Forum
