  1. Kalister68 is working on a new model, a large Myconid/Mushroom Man. Here's a short video showing the walking animation:
  2. I like that druids can't transform directly into animal forms. It gives a different flavor to the ability, and to the cultural setting. The PoE forms are more like Warhammer's beastmen. (Actually, the D&D rules also allow the lycanthrope to adopt a hybrid form.)
  3. The circles under the characters look to be different sizes, and not necessarily related to the character size.
  4. Fighter/Rogue = Rogue/Fighter under the revised multi-classing system. I suppose you could call the class a bushswackler...
  5. The association between pointy hats and ancient wizardry is a dubious one, possibly associated with antisemitism. Best to leave that alone, I think.
  6. From an earlier post: To me it sounds like a Wizard can effectively cast as though she had two grimoires in hand; one set of spells is intrinsic and the other extrinsic, and she's using the grimoire in her slot as her channel. This approach does make any grimoires you find potentially much more valuable than they were in PoE1. It would be cool if certain special grimoires had a unique talent that modified its spells.
  7. Pretty sure you remember that wrong. You didn't even get named characters in the Beta, they were just generic characters like BB Fighter. But yeah when I look at this guy, and you ask me, "Is this a fighter, or a rogue?" Well... don't be shocked if my answer isn't rogue. Anyone who says otherwise is selling something. I see that and I think: privateer. He's wearing what? Leather armor. You mean mercenary? He doesn't look piratey in any way, also, whips never made it ingame. No, technically a privateer is not the same as a pirate. It's a type of irregular combatant recruited to fight on behalf of a nation via the use of letters of marque. Does this guy look like a pirate?

  9. It's probably the hair style. Renaissance hair styles on women are typically more elaborate; hers is modern and functional. But it's a different culture and she's an elf, so historical rules don't really apply. I think it's more the clothes and the glasses. It gives a Victorias vibe, as someone else mentioned. Glasses were available during the Renaissance.

  11. That's correct. Eder can be a fighter or a rogue (which still makes no sense to me). Ydwin can be a cipher or a rogue. Well a fighter-rogue is a "swashbuckler", which to me isn't a bad fit to Edér's persona. But stats-wise, he seems a less than optimal build for that role. I guess he's a swashtanker...
  12. Oh sure, kill off the only Dwarven companion. I don't suppose Konstanten is dwarven? His beard seems a bit on the puny side though.
