  1. I want to quote this as much as possible because I agree. MMORPGs, with rare exceptions, seem to be absolute financial poison. They're expensive to make and run, hard to get a return on the investments involved, and the market's already saturated with fantasy RPGs. By all accounts I've read Elder Scrolls Online is going to bomb, and that's part of a AAA franchise that's a license to print money for Bethesda. I'm not sure an MMORPG based on much more niche-orientent game like PoE would fare any better. I want to point out that, regardless of if they ever make a PoE MMO, they currently are making two.
  2. I get the impression a few things are happening: 1) InXile doesn't want to give out key two because they don't see that as anyone's but yours. 2) Obsidian clearly *wants* to give out keys even though Eternity is not going to launch for months. Ultimately, it is up to InXile to decide what to do here. Major updates have been breaking saves more often than not during the beta. I definitely wouldn't count on any beta saves being usable in the release version. thx. That is too bad. Guess I still have to wait til august then. I really hate to replay games over and over again.^^ I actually found it quite useful. This game is a *lot* like Icewind Dale, where your early game stat allocation can really screw up your middle game.
  3. Gotta hold off on playing mah games I bought from Friday. Gotta claim my PlayFire Rewards on Monday.
  4. It was definitely a New Years Eve Bash E3. Everyone had their A-game.
  5. Major updates have been breaking saves more often than not during the beta. I definitely wouldn't count on any beta saves being usable in the release version. Not surprising. Plus, after logging ten hours with the beta, I'm pretty sure how I should maximize my stats over my party.
  6. It's about the money. Right now, they have the cushion of extra funding. Not sure if serious.
  7. lol My friend is now badgering me for his key.
  8. I dunno. I think that sometimes that's the price you pay for some cool reactivity. Yeah, it's a shortcut, but it's necessary. While having each individual react to you is possible, it's a lot of hard work. At the end of the day, they need to do what works best for this game. And in the case of a faction system, this type of reputation system works great.
  9. Weak? I broke and bought Divinity.
  10. This is a smart move. More exposure, more customers. By my (horrible) math, that's 38k people that didn't pledge towards the game itself.
  11. Entire Far Cry pack at $7, though.
  12. I wants Original Sin, but money.
  13. Already pre-ordered Dwagon Age. Probably going to get How To Simply Walk Into Mordor with my Playfire Rewards money.
  14. Probably not. While the game is not graphics intensive, it's not Baldur's Gate, either.
  15. Four hours and one minute to the TF2 Moonbase Update.
  16. It's not built into the engine, but I don't see how it can't/won't be done later on.
  17. They are? You don't even have to register to read threads on this site. Or most (all?) the PoE updates on Kickstarter's site. Pretty much this.
