There's a .5% chance I'll go. I no longer live in SoCal, so it would need to be worth it for me to spend that money.

I would not say 'right' but in that specific case you must agree that Obsidian is now profiting from my previouse pirating Another example could be some small local band. They will never sell their music until enough of people start listening to it, so they are happy that someone copy their CDs and spread it between people, so they then come to their concerts. another example - pharmacetic company create cure fort cancer, but keep it secret and sell it for milions, dont you think that then it would be 'right' to 'pirate' that recepture and sell it for low cost to all affected? (really far from topic I know. but principle of copyright is same) You dont have to have 'right' to do something which in the end become beneficial to others. Womens in muslim states doesnt have 'rights' but I think even you agree that it would be good if they have them no? even if its against law currently (I know, this is really 'out of place' example) ... are you serious?

300 NPCs is a lot of resources. For two cities, which PoE has, that would be 600. So either you get a lot of copy paste, or you don't get your peeps. I personally think Torment was a good number of people.
-
The City was already corrupted when the mages entered. The Maker will probably be final boss. Sandal's monologue in DA2 essentially confirms the Maker is bull****. The Statue in Witch Hunt referenced the Fade tearing: The Shadow. Sandal echoes this sentiment. DA has some really good plotting if you look past all the ****ty retcons.

Yup, yup, yup.

My favorite this far has got to be "blacks don't make enough money and white people don't like them so they have to pirate".
-
Some Firefly fan will do it, eventually, those people are loons. Nathan Fillion lived a carefree life until one day he found someone in his living room. Now he has security.

I just can't take anyone seriously that uses these excuses: 1) Publishers don't pay devs anyways so we should pirate so nobody gets any money (which, obviously, makes no sense) 2) Kids don't have enough money to buy the games (boo hoo?) 3) Devs make "Just Enough" So you can imagine, Sarex, how much I take into stock your opinion on the matter. I mean, you're one foot away from saying "devs actually want piracy".

Where was the anti-woman rant? I was trying to think of posts I've seen on this site that were more ridiculous than yours.

This is the biggest load of BS I've yet read on this forum outside of an anti-woman rant.

Try wrapping your head around this chestnut: People pirating Humble Indie Bundle sales.

I assume that means they're going to reveal a female character with excessively revealing attire (or excessively revealing attire for female PCs, which would negate the entire modding community,) and try to justify it with the trappings of unsound logic/a wizard did it. Yes, I'm sure they made an entire set piece and location just for a fanpander reveal. I did before I knew any better. I left Bioware's boards during the DA2 development (particularly the Bethany Romance threads). Those were amazing. "Can we kill Bethany? That way, if we resurrect her, it's technically not incest."

Most hilarious gamestarter yet.

... 1) I don't really see how that in any way is applicable to anything. 2) That's insanely creepy and way to bring this thread into a whole new level of weird. Hey guys watch out, we've got a badass over here. .... .... Seriously?

Update #79: Graphics and Rendering
Bryy replied to BAdler's topic in Pillars of Eternity: Announcements & News
Oh God, we are going to lord that one over everyone for years. "NeoGAF influences the industry". Yeah, I think most people were fine with the restriction. The problem is that you only need very few individuals out of the tens of thousands of backers to let the whole idea go to **** with people being pissed, the press being pissed and everything just turning into a huge PR nightmare. And since the chance of having such a critical mass of idiots is exactly 1 for any group of people larger than 1000, it's just not even worth trying. I mean it's good Doublefine did try because now nobody ever has to try it again and they will just keep backers in the dark about things they absolutely don't want to see leaked. Entitled idiots is why we can't have nice things, as always. I'm talking about how the project was mismanaged from the start. I could care less about what is and is not in the doc. They blew all the money and I highly doubt we'll see Act 2 until late 2016/early 2017. Hopefully Costume Quest 2 sells well, because Broken Age has a long way to go. Has it even broken even or made a profit yet?- 192 replies
