  1. Holy sh*twaffles, i was convinced we werent going to reach 3,5m. Guess i should just jump into a ravine or something.... NAH
  2. I'll keep it on the radar. Though iv'e never been too partial to jrpgs where i cant even name my character. That is usually the minimum requirement i set.
  3. Loranc, i just want to say that im very grateful for your updates. I do so hate having big lags in my info streams.
  4. How about instead of just monk, they give him the appearance of the old hermit martial artist? Like a smaller balder Gouken or Jinpachi (without the spiky hair).
  5. Yes, he is in serious need of a beard..unless he shaves? which would make him care about his appearance?
  6. Technically we arent buying anything from them. We are pledging money to them and they give us stuff as gifts. So they should be labeled as gifts. I definitely would like that considering my country's 25% tax rate and insane paper-trail prices.
  7. Upped by 70$ to the signed collectors edition at the 250$ (plus shipping of course). Cant believe i thought i would simply stay idly by at 65$, ludicrous.
  8. Five days to reach 3,5 million? You are mad sir, quite mad indeed. But we wouldn't be ladies and gentlemen if we didn't damn well try. Load the catapults!
  9. The writing and voice acting was out of this world. Bloodlines is the game i recommend to friends. I remember with great fondness finding passwords and hacking dos-run computers and then blackmailing a doctor into giving me money because he was cheating on his wife. I also think ive seen on some big site that the beach hotel part was ranked in the top ten scariest game chapters. A lot of the main talent who made VtM:B aren't at Obsidian. For example, Brian Mitsoda, who did work for Obsidian for a time (but his work was cancelled or cut), and is a fan of the Troika founders and Black Isle/Obsidian. Tim Cain worked on VtM:B but I don't think he was a lead, but his games like Arcanum and Fallout inspired it a lot, I think it's not a stretch to say that the people who didn't work on Fallout that developed VtM:B all loved Fallout to bits. That might well be the case, regardless i'm just reaching out to the whole team through Cain, assuming he still associates with them. This is really just an unofficial reach-out from the Norwegian community.
  10. First of all i would, as i am sure all others here would concede to doing, thank the Team at Obsidian for going on this fruitful journey of resurrecting the crpg genre, spearheading it along with inXile, and more than likely even more projects inspired by your success. But in this thread i would like to point out a particular individual and by extent the remnants of a once great developer. Tim Cain and Troika. I am a Norwegian, and unsurprisingly we play games. A lot of them. There arent a lot of us though, i think we just hit 5 million a year or so ago. Because of this, our gaming communities are small and densely populated, spread over a few sites. The biggest of them, having won the national gaming-medium award every time since it was thought up, namely Gamer.no, put up through January 2010 polls that would determine the 100 greatest games released over the last decade. "Why are you telling me about this" some of you might ask. Well, Vampire: Bloodlines has been one of my definite favorites. I rarely replay games but found myself just recently having gone through it for the sixth time. The first two times i got hit by the Dr. Johansen boat bug (i appreciate the attention and the irony of this) so that's how far i got until the third run-through, spurred by finding a fix through google. Bugs aside, the game was mind-blowingly good. For a long time, i thought i shared this knowledge with only a few enlightened individuals. So Bloodlines, landing on 8'th place, beating not only AAA titles like TES: Oblivion, Fallout 3, Battlefield 2 but also Deus Ex, was a pleasant surprise. Hearing this and knowing that some developers were essentially working for free the last few weeks i felt i wanted to share our appreciation with the team behind this classic. But with Troika gone, i found no way of contacting any former employees. But Project Eternity has along with its many other fruits, given me an opportunity to do this. So to Tim Cain and Troika, from the land of the midnight sun and brown cheese, Thank you. http://www.gamer.no/...ste-spill-10-1/
  11. I will have my expansion pack in a physical box, thank you very much. Only the most worthy of games are deigned fit to have a place in my shelf.
  12. You havent tried Mask of the Betrayer so you dont have a say in this. Come back after you've played it. Hearing Avellone will have to brainstorm a long with Ziets means everything to the advancement of the games story-elements.
  13. Just pledged another 50$. Might go for the signed collectors edition if were not going fast enough towards 2,8 million.
  14. Chanter and paladin? Two new classes? Not that i don't appreciate it, they are definitely welcome, but if you want that last surge of pledges you gotta... OH DEAR LORD JESUSGEORGEZIETSASASTRETCHGOAL "faints"
  15. What we need is a 3million stretch goal to reach for. Dont drudge this through 5 more intervals
  16. Most excellent, seems i already got the expansion pack reserved. Either way, an interesting update indeed. But to get that last lunge of pledges like WS2 and Double Fine got you really need to step it up on one final, great stretch goal.
  17. I will probably utilize it as well at some point, even if i dont particularly care about it right now. Im just waiting for obsidian to do something drastic to increase the get the final pledges.
  18. Pretty sure they are, kickstarter funds is supposed to be ear-marked for development, its not part of the profit.
  19. Obviously been a long time since i played anything isometric. Body types should a must, most definitely.
  20. Not to be a d*** but i did not just donate 160$ for an 8 hour game. Remember, they dont have to market the game beyond word-to mouth, there are very few steps between them and us when concerned with sales and hey dont have to pander to gfx who**s, plus the Unity engine is free. So costs should be relatively low. We are also talking about a relatively big team of veterans, developing a game for over two years without being hindered by publishers and license-holders. And they are virtually given free reign, which might encourage a lot more enthusiasm among the people there.
  21. What information is available on this? For some reason ive seen little discussion on the topic. Can we expect sliders, portraits or a choice of premade faces and minimal alterations? If there's one thing modern rpgs have done right, it must be the ways we can customize our characters appearance, deepening the immersion and personalization of the game. If i missed any obvious choices, do tell.
  22. That would be crazy awesome. Hopefully, with money from this game, perhaps another kickstarter etc. we might have not yet seen Obsidian's Magnum Opus.
  23. Not at my limit just yet, might up my pledge if some new strethgoal comes up. If so, ill increase it during the last pull. Has to be damn good though.
