Female character designs - let's have variety.
Moonlight Butterfly replied to Alopex's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)Pretty much what Umberlin said but it would be nice to see some older women too. I always think it's strange in RPG's where there are tons of old guys knocking about (mostly wizards) and no women. Especially since women tend to live longer xD I really love Wynne and Flemeth in Dragon Age

Which game hook brought you to Project Eternity and interests you the most?
The first 4 I played them to death when they came out and Arcanum which remains one of my most favourite Ip's to date. I didn't like Temple of Elemental Evil much tho although I did finish it.

Armour and weapon designs - a plea.
Moonlight Butterfly replied to Karranthain's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)I don't know how detailed weapons are going to be because of the retro graphics BUT I agree with the OP. Dark Souls does this and there is something refreshing about that. This is my female character early on in Dark Souls she is wearing Chainmail and on the right an outfit that the game counts as magical cloth. I really like Dark Souls aesthetic. But that's just my opinion.

Obsidain why you lie to us?
Moonlight Butterfly replied to oldmanpaco's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)I think the best thing about this thread is that he spelled Obsidian wrong when it's in caps lock at the top of the page :3

Is non-storyline lore important to you?
Moonlight Butterfly replied to Intoxicated_Ant's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)It's very important to me, I love getting in game lore, books and background on NPC's I am dealing with.

Gameplay lenght
Moonlight Butterfly replied to Hellion's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)I want it to be a good deal of content, I mean I played Vegas for 250 hours (because love ) and I don't even want to comtemplate the amoutn of time I sank into BG and ID :| I think they should definately provide lot's of content but I want something to sink my teeth into. Somewhere between 50 and 60 hours would be great, any less and I will be slightly dissapoint.

Dear Obsidian, don't listen to the crowd. Make the game as you have planned it.
Moonlight Butterfly replied to Altarf's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)I don't expect them to bow to our demands at all and I have no problem with that. I trust Obsidian to make a great game. It's just fun to speculate.

[Merged] DRM Discussion Thread
Moonlight Butterfly replied to Arundor's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)I love Steam but I respect that some people want a physical copy or to play offline. I like GoG and think Obs should consider it.

Get Some Horror Up In Here Y'all
I just posted about Fairies in the races you would like to see thread who were, originally, hardly tinkerbell, . They were creepy as all ****. I am so desensitised to vampires I'm starting to think it's all a plot for them to 'come out the coffin' as it were . I challenge obsidian to come up with a vampire I actually find scary. I agree.

[Merged] The races of the world, Please something other then Elves/Dwarves/Orcs/Humans?
Moonlight Butterfly replied to Stiler's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)I'd like to see some well done dwarves I feel they have been slightly absent lately. You should poke Tim Cain for that because Magnus was best dwarf ever. Fairies would be nice too. Like proper mean ass British fairies who were demons before demons were demons. A matriarchal culture would be nice but making it overagressive and man hating will just seem tacky to me the best thing is a culture giving respect to and older woman figure within their tribe or village. Elven (Elvish?) creatures seem to suit this most.

Which character archetypes would you like to see as companions?
Moonlight Butterfly replied to Maddas's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)Am I the only one who loves 'Kindly old woman.' I mean Wynne was amazing in Dragon Age. Flemeth too 'Malevolent mysterious old woman!'. :3

[Merged] Voice Acting- Suggestion
Moonlight Butterfly replied to Dashwood's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)I'd like Felicia Day please. She has been excellent in every voice acting role I have seen. Also Claudia Black is pretty amazing too I understand if costs don't stretch that far but those are two voice actors I really like.

Please include women with shirts on.
Moonlight Butterfly replied to Belias's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)I prefer player choice than Dragon Age 2/Mass Effect fixed character type. His original point was that a female main character wouldn't make sense. Which is kind of ridiculous isn't it. Hey I don't care if some NPC's act like a **** towards me becuase of it (like the legion in F:NV) but I don't think it's too much to ask to have a character available that represents 50% of the population. If you don't like it don't play it. As for race, the same applies but in fantasy settings it's usually more about your height and your ears.

ideas, suggestions and getting us off the bench
Moonlight Butterfly replied to mrverbal's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)I would like Fairies, Lizard Men, Humans, Little tribblish cat type people (cos we all need some cute), and something big like a minotaur or centaur. (Centaur would be astounding.) and dwarves becuase I haven't played a well done dwarf for while. Not nessercarily all these things but some variation on elf dwarf human would be nice. I would really like new game + because that's usually the only way I can bring myself to play through a game again sometimes. :< An open world similar to Fallout might be nice rather than something like Icewind Dale which felt a bit restricted. 8 Companions is fine by me as they will be more likely to be well done.

Obsidain why you lie to us?
Moonlight Butterfly replied to oldmanpaco's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)I count 8 companions if we get all the stretch goals. I don't mind having fewer companions if it means they will be very in depth story wise. 6 is fine for party size.

Randomness
Moonlight Butterfly replied to agent12345's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)I don't mind randomness as long as I don't loot like 20p an old werthers original and some pocket fluff from a dragon or something.

Which character archetypes would you like to see as companions?
Moonlight Butterfly replied to Maddas's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)I'd like a dreamy bad boy thief or wizard. A girl can dream. Without oversized boobs.

For the 1st time, I actually want to pledge. However...
Moonlight Butterfly replied to Yarazin's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)New Vegas was tested by Bethesda I believe, it's a common mistake people make.

Should gold have weight?
Moonlight Butterfly replied to Intoxicated_Ant's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)I don't really mind but I would prefer it if gold actually had some value rather than ending up with an unlimited suply of money after five minutes like Skyrim.

Please include women with shirts on.
Moonlight Butterfly replied to Belias's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)The chainmail is probably going to be heavier than the plate and leather combo, actually. D&D isn't the best soruce for ancient military tech. Yeah I was thinking in dnd terms In real life I think chain mail would probably weigh quite a lot.

Please include women with shirts on.
Moonlight Butterfly replied to Belias's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)And why would that stop Obsidian from making a dark skinned character. You have argued against something that no one was saying in the first place.
-
Please include women with shirts on.
Moonlight Butterfly replied to Belias's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)I lolled :D I think we shoud all agree that attractive armour is great for both sexes. As well as some choice on how your party looks.

Please include women with shirts on.
Moonlight Butterfly replied to Belias's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)Boobs, they are serious biznizz.
-
Please include women with shirts on.
Moonlight Butterfly replied to Belias's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)Im pretty sure you would need stamina too, unless you were hoping for a fast kill. Heavyweight dude isn't bad. He looks like a bloke at least and not an underwear model. I like my man with a bit of tummy.
-
Please include women with shirts on.
Moonlight Butterfly replied to Belias's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)what have you done! I'd put lady A in some chainmail (she's going to depend on a fast kill and offense) and lady B in plate and leather. (Because she needs to outlast her opponant and survive a hit from that scary shotput mace)
