#3 I think I might have lost what sense it made because I got hit by the dialogue skipping bug at that point and had to read it all in my journal afterwards.

I switched a couple months ago when this one Shaun of the Dead ad was plaguing me on another board. Microsoft will have to do some pretty big improvements if they want me to switch back.

LINKY Didn't EA's propaganda machine mention something about "seeing the fear in the orc's eye" or somesuch? Curiously enough as well: the "New Project" subsection on Bioware's page has lost the console-only and the information page it used to link to. WHAT COULD IT ALL MEAN? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> How is confirming that their unannounced project is using the Unreal Engine 3 proof that its BG3?
-
Thats due to bad level design, not the combat system.
-
ToEE proved once and for all that Turn Based combat doesn't suck. And that when adapting a PnP rule system to the PC, implementing a turn based system as a turn based system is superior to converting it to real-time.

You obviously never owned a Commodore 64 <{POST_SNAPBACK}> This is one of the silliest posts i've ever seen! The only game Bioware released before BG was Shattered Steel, an average mech game. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Must be thinking of Blizzard.

My preference: New character, a graduate of the new Sith/Jedi academy who goes to the unknown regions in search of the Exile and Revan to help or hinder. Revan and the Exile would be non-playable NPCs but would make an appearance. The NPCs from KOTOR2 would be non-playable, except maybe the droids, but they would make appearances. As playable NPCs I'd like HK and T3, another Zabrak, someone from Quinlan Vos' planet(google him), another Mandalorian, but someone very different from Canderous. Make him quiet, yet vicious. Two or three other students from the academy, friends of yours. Plus others, I'm not creative enough to come up with any more.

About 30 million north of the US. Yes there are nations outside the US.

A Big ********* To Obsidian and LA
Oerwinde replied to buttfacepoop's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
1) Its not that there were lots of bugs, its that the bugs that were there were so common and blatant, the QA guys must have been blind and deaf to have missed them. 2) They fixed bugs, they just fixed the wrong ones. They fixed the infinite XP and infinite Influence bugs, but not the dialogue skipping or Atton not being where he's sposed to be bugs. 3) I disagree. While the ending is crap, the rest of the game more than makes up for it. I do wish that 4)Um... no. 5)I agree with this. The dialogue skipping bug is so common, I have no idea how they missed that. It happens probably 2-3 times every hour of play. 6) The only problem I have with it is finding jedi robes EVERYWHERE. Why are there jedi robes in bins on Peragus? 7) I'm actually glad they did this. The guys at Holowan Labs are working on finishing the HK factory that got cut but was almost finished. If you're not going to finish it, leave it there for someone who will. I doubt Bioware would have done any better, the story for sure wouldn't have been as good. -
What kotor1 character do you want to see in kotor3
Oerwinde replied to Bokishi's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I'd like to see all the Kotor2 characters return, just as non-playable NPCs, they would be the masters of the new Sith/Jedi order. You'd no doubt be one of the students at the new Jedi/Sith academy. As for Kotor1 characters, just HK-47 and T3-M4, and my guess is the story would be the search for Revan and the Exile, so Revan no doubt would make an appearance. Just get whoever did the voice for his/her combat/acknowledgement voices in Kotor1 to do his/her voice. -
I tend to like 3rd person RPGs more. 1st person combat sucks arse 60-80% of the time, while 3rd person combat only sucks arse 30-50% of the time. I also like being able to see my character.

The players can live with a 42.5 million deal. Right now most of the more successful teams are in the 40-45 million range, and with the 24% salary rollback, most teams will be under the cap. Vancouver, Calgary, Tampa, and I even think Colorado is around 45 million, its only teams like Toronto, New York, and Detroit that are spending 60-80 million. I think the players are full of it thinking a salary cap will make the game less entertaining. And their claim that people watch hockey for the stars is crap. The Vancouver Giants are a junior league team, no one knows who any of the players are, and they're getting 11+ thousand people a night seeing their games(I believe the capacity of the arena is 16k) because the NHL isn't playing, and now that the season is officially cancelled, they're expecting more. The NHL lockout has given them an extra 1-2 million in revenues that they're using to build a new training facility. No one cares about the stars, they just want to watch hockey. I think this lockout is the death of the NHL. No one cares anymore, they've found other ways to get their hockey fix. The CBC should just start airing the WHL games, since Sportsnet got the AHL. Personally, I think its the fault of both the players and the owners. The owners for giving the players too much money to begin with, and the players for telling the owners to shove it when they try to fix the problem. Its kinda hypocritical if they'll go to europe and play for 80k a year, then come back here and refuse to play for less than 1.5 million a year.

long ago my girlfriend lost a spelling bee because she spelled Theatre as Theatre. Silly americans thinking the right spelling is wrong.

Things you wish a KOTOR2 character would say......

Gold. -
Yeah, once you meet her you won't have the same opinion.

white text on a dark background is actually hard on the eyes. The light grey is generally easier to read because it doesn't bleed into the background and isn't as harsh.

I wonder if that was due to time constraints. I was really disappointed in that, because the only armor he could wear and still use force powers was the mining suit, and it looked dumb.
-
The only bugs I really had problems with was the part where And the dialogue skipping bug. That one plagues me. On one playthrough it probably happened at least 20-30 times. Usually I can fix it by saving and reloading, but sometimes I have to quit and reload to get it to stop skipping over everything.

The origin of the Stanley Cup is that the Canadian Governor General (representative of the Queen) bought a $40 silver cup in 1892 or something to be presented to the best hockey team in Canada, which I believe was decided in a tournament between the best team in the PCHL(Pacific Coastal Hockey League) and the EHL(Eastern Hockey League) I may be wrong about the names of the leagues, both were amateur leagues too. In 1910 the first professional league started that was all Canadian teams, so the cup went to the best team in that league. In 1914 that league folded and the NHL was born, including some of the teams from the previous league, and the cup followed. Personally I think they should just have a tournament between, the AHL, and the ECHL (the two major Minor Leagues.) and award the cup to the winner. I just wish the CBC would have televised the WHL or AHL games this season so I could have watched some. The NHL players are full of it. Talking about how fans don't want to watch hockey with a bunch of people who couldn't make it to the NHL, they want to watch the stars., Thats crap. Since the lockout the Vancouver Giants have sold out every game, the world Juniors sold out as well. It may be true for American teams, but Canadians don't care who's playing, as long as theres hockey. (which they proved by the World Juniors being held in the US, yet 70% of those who attended were Canadian.)

He just got a couple people together and figured he could re-write the KotOR engine. We told him it wasn't possible, he flipped out at us not being supportive, and voila, nothing happened.

My thoughts so far: -I hate most of the character models. -The bugs are annoying. I can't check my computer because my desk turned into a couch. -Combat is annoying. -Not enough roleplay moments. -Was disappointed in how they nerfed some of the blood abilities like Fortitude and presence, so I had to download the PnP mod. Other than that, its a lot of fun
