Ok, critique here. The face, excellent. Anatomy needs a little work though. The shoulders are a tad too broad, his upper-arm should be about the same length as his lower arm, and his fingers are way too stubby. Other than that, pretty good. Good 3rd Edition-esque style.

Ghostbusters is one of the really bad pan & scan ones. Its almost painful to watch. With those kind you can usually change your DVD player settings to make it view in 16:9. Same with Letterbox versions on widescreen TVs. Just change your DVD player settings to... I think standard is 4:3. Anyway, heres a guy who's better at making his point than me. www.widescreen.org

Make it three. I go with mEtalLL1x opinion, as long as it suits the game. I loved TB in Fallout or SSI's Buck Rogers but RT in FOT or Baldurs Gate were okay to me too. What about a TB system which switch to RT on easy fights, for example player and NCP's are on much higher level than the the enemy and it is sure you will win the the fight without any hard loss. Just an idea. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That was the only reason I ever used the RT option in FOT so I'm all for it as long as theres a fully turn based option. I'm not against Real Time in general, it was fine in BG, NWN, IWD, etc. I just feel that since Fallout 1 and Fallout 2 were both turn based, so should fallout 3. It would be like if they made Warcraft 4 turn based, its just not right.

Johnny Mnemonic is cool, its cyberpunk, Keanu plays a data courier, he stores data in his head, and the world is under the control of a pharmaceutical company because of a disease called the black shakes. They have the only treatment for it. Well Johnny is hired to bring some data to certain people, but he doesn't have enough space in his head, so he has to get to the people before his brain dies from overload, and people are chasing him trying to kill him because of whats in his head. Killer priest, dolphin hacker, and Ice T. Nothing could be better. And yeah, Constantine looks good, too bad they didn't go for Paul Bettany for John Constantine though.

It doesn't actually cut anything out of the picture for widescreen. http://www.widescreen.org/examples/lord_ri...otk/index.shtml theres an example of fullscreen vs widescreen. You can see that in fact you lose almost half the picture in the fullscreen version. Edit: just noticed you said VHS kicks ass... sarcasm noted. And Johnny Mnemonic was cool. Especially Dolph Lundgren "HALT SINNERS!"

So I've been looking for a widescreen version of Johnny Mnemonic for a while now. Yes I know most people think its bad, but anyway all I can find is fullscreen. Who in their right mind only makes a fullscreen version of a DVD? Who in their right mind BUYS fullscreen DVDs? Would you buy half a poster? A CD of only clips of songs? The other day I rented a movie that was labelled widescreen, only to find a fullscreen disc when I got home. Now this could have been avoided if fullscreen DVDs just no longer existed. Now some people say "well my TV is too small to see widescreen" Well then don't bother with DVDs then, because the sound and picture quality improvements on DVD aren't noticable on a tv that small. Some people say "Well I don't like the black bars" Stop watching movies. Seriously. Stop. If you can't appreciate seeing the whole movie without bitching about the area around the movie, just stop watching, you don't deserve to watch. Anyway, enough of my elitist rant. Go on with your lives.

Well, Real-Time in FOT was garbage, RT in Lionheart was garbage, and I don't even think FOBOS was even an adaption of SPECIAL, so until theres a decent adaption of SPECIAL into real-time, I'll stick with my FO=TB opinion. I just personally think that systems designed for turn based, are much better in turn based. Much like ToEE's combat was vastly superior to NWN.

No. The TB concept is fundamentally outdated. No matter how much garbage you add to it, it's still obsolete, when compared to the possibilities of a RT system. It's not the accessories or the interfaces that are outdated, it's the concept itself. Just because real time is faster, doesn't mean TB is obsolete. And thats the ONLY advantage real-time has over turn based. Thats like saying a volvo is obsolete because a ferarri goes faster.

I'm just looking at that review and its like 30% Summary, 60% bitching, and 10% praise, yet they give it a 4/5.

If you want to enjoy Final Fantasy 8, rent Legend of Dragoon. FF8 is terrible, but it at least has good dialogue. Legend of Dragoon is terrible, AND has bad dialogue. By the 10th hour you'll beg for FF8. Thats the only way I was able to finish it. Thoug to be honest, FF8 was ok until the end of the 2nd disc.

www.phong.com used to be really good. But now the site is really badly designed. At least its better than the last incarnation where you had to solve a puzzle before you could get into the site. It has some pretty good photoshop tutorials.
