  1. We generally are mostly socialist, at least when it comes to health and welfare. The albertans are trying to cripple our socialist paradise with their crazy conservative ways though. Luckily, the NDP and the Liberals took away some of the Conservative power in BC in the last election. Shows how much Canadians actually pay attention to their politics. People in BC mostly voted for the Canadian Alliance, the most conservative mainstream party, simply because they weren't the Liberals. No one really knew what they stood for. As soon as they merged with the PCs and became the Conservative Party, they lost like half their voters in BC.
  2. Y'know, I could spent 10 bucks on that... or I could just not watch fox news.
  3. Fair enough. Maybe I'll give it a go. The best console RPG I've played is Tales of Phantasia. Question: How did Suikoden even get a sequel? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Tales of Phantasia was pretty darn good too. Only got like halfway through it though. Too bad it was never released here.
  4. Lionheart: For the first half I was thinking "Wow, this is actually pretty good, the combat sucks arse, but the quests and story and such make up for it." Then boom, nothing but that garbage combat for the last half of the game. Master of Orion 3: In name only.
  5. Don't care too much about Ghost. I just hope they freaking get Starcraft 2 underway. Or even better, an actual RPG. A blizzard RPG could be awesome(Yes I know about WoW, don't care, MMORPGs suck).
  6. Suikoden 1 is the worst Suikoden, mediocre game, but has a special place in my heart because it launched the Suikoden series, which gave us Suikoden 2, the best console RPG of all time.
  7. I like keyboard/mouse for PC games, and I like controllers for console games. Games are always better on the system they're designed for.
  8. Of that list, 2 games actually interested me. Forgot Suikoden 4 too. Though apparently its not as good as 3. As long as its better than Suikoden 1 I'm happy though.
  9. I'm active on the Superherohype.com forums, the Obsidian forums, and the CHUD.com forums, but I'm registered on Bioware, DVDtoons.com, Mistress' Lair, and a bunch of others I don't remember.
  10. First post that the board still has is: "Well, my name came from me trying to figure out a name for my Birthright character. The Birthright box had a list of names and Oerwinde was one of them. Turns out like 2 years later I checked the thing again and it was a girls name, but no one seems to notice. Avatar is Galvatron, Megatron's form given to him by Unicron after Optimus Prime defeated him on Earth and Starscream tossed him out into space." Booyah.
  11. My best cheating AI moment was when I was allied against the babylonians with the Americans and the americans were way behind in tech level. So I decided to share so they'd have a better chance. Well as soon as I gave them the new tech, all their units in the field upgraded. And so did the Babylonians. Anyway, I thought Civ3 was fun, but at later years when you have a large empire its really hard to play.
  12. He created the graphic novel, and the highest award in Comics is the Eisner Award. Even if the comics he specifically did aren't your style, his contributions to comics in general will be missed.
  13. Well in theory, you should just be able to create a new group, much like the "developer" group you belong to. Would give them a VIP tag under their avatar and such.
  14. If "epic" = Brad Pitt in a skirt Damn, am I the only one who thought Troy was lame? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Troy is so far the only movie I have seen where when it was over, I wanted to go get another ticket and see it again.
  15. Last I read the databank they never mention Revan's sex, or whether he was light side or dark, they end the description as he boards the star forge... then again, I haven't checked it in like a month.
  16. I'm a lot more agressive online, because online I have time to think out my arguments before saying them, while in real life I don't want to sound like a knob so I generally just keep quiet.
  17. Oh, its quite ingenius, its based on units of ten, instead of random numbers.
  18. So I bought some brownie mix. The package contains 900 ml of mix. The recipe calls for 675 ml of mix. Leaving me with 225 ml of mix. Meaning I don't even get enough left over to make an extra batch when I buy two packages. I have to buy 3 packages of mix, to be able to make use of the leftover mix. I know its marketing genius, but does anyone else get angry at evil ploys like this? This is similar to my anger over nutrition information, where the can contains like 400 ml, and one serving is like 325 ml or something stupid like that. Edit: Mix. Mix mix. Mix mix mix. Mix.
  19. Theres your first problem. Don't make complicated models. Keep them as simple as you can unless they won't do what you want them to do, then you add lines and such. Its so much easier to work with a simple model, and most of the time you can get the same results with a geometry approximated model as you can with a complex model.
  20. That's quite a deep and uplifting thought Oerwinde <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yeah, heard it from a guy at work one time.
  21. Confucious says, good to meet girl in park, better to park meat in girl.
  22. This thread should be trimmed, and renamed Fun with Religious Texts, so that we can poke fun at how ridiculous all religions are.
  23. Sounds about like mine. Only I have onboard sound, a CD writer instead of a DVD writer, only a 19 inch samsung magicbright, and my processors were Intel Xeon. All for $4800 CAD. I do 3d which is the reason for the Dual system. If you're not doing something like that, go with a single processor system and knock 1000+ off the price.
