  1. Big Bossman was a classic heel, with a cop gimmick. They pretty much destroyed him with the writing at the end of his career though. Tying ropes to coffins and dragging them behind a truck during the guys funeral. That was just plain stupid and tasteless.
  2. We uh, are not using our, um, hurricane machines, er on Florida. That is all.
  3. Drawn Together preview Take out the http:// when the link opens.
  4. He co-wrote Jedi, because the guy who wrote Empire died after finishing the 1st draft of Jedi, so George went in and patched it up. The best one in the trilogy was the one he had the least involvement in.
  5. There is a difference here though. Football and Basketball have soft caps that change depending on league revenues. Gary Betteman wanted a hard cap of 31 million dollars per team. Thats lower than the payroll of the Pittsburg Penguins. Which has the lowest payroll of all NHL teams. I'm not disputing that the players are paid too much. I'm just saying that negotiations are supposed to be compromises. The league is refusing to compromise. There are other options besides a hard cap, but they refuse to look at any of them. Also with the collusion point, its not like they're cheating the guy out of money. The owners set the market price for players, and if they all agree someone isn't worth more than 3 million, theres nothing wrong with that.
  6. After doing a little looking at whats actually happening, I've changed my stance on the whole thing. The players were asked why they are dead set against a salary cap and their reason was roster stability. NHL rosters tend to be pretty stable year after year allowing fans to really get attached to the teams who generally have the same players for years. A salary cap would cause teams to juggle the players to meet the cap, trading expensive players for cheap ones and such. This is not a good thing. The players actually did propose a starting point for the negotiations, despite Gary Betteman saying otherwise. They proposed a 5% salary rollback, changes to the entry level system, a luxury tax on team salaries over 50 million, etc, all things that would save teams millions of dollars. This proposal was rejected flat out because it didn't include a salary cap. The way I'm seeing it, this is more the owners fault than the players. Sure you can say that the players are greedy for not just accepting the cap and taking the 50% pay cut or whatever, but come on, if the owners hadn't been paying them 8 million a year in the first place, it wouldn't have happened. Both sides need to compromise, and only one side is doing so. Your thoughts?
  7. I do 3D work. So its for rendering.
  8. Dual Intel Xeon 2.4 GHz hyperthreaded 2 GB RAM (no idea what kind) 2x80 GB HD Geforce 4 Ti4600
  9. To make up for it, just answer any questions the modding community has about file formats and such once the game is released. That should make up for it with PC people. Then we can see some custom heads and armor and such that the Xbox people will never get.
  10. Well, since France and Britian were at war, they were banking on the French in the area to back them. The whole idea was a mistake. Hell, even the people in the boarder states were openly supporting the "Canadians" and British by selling them food. They prefered the "recently departed from office" Thomas Jeffersons way of doing things. As for repelling the invasion, to be fair, you guys did repel it......but they were sooooo confident that there would be uprising to support the war that they brought a loose band of poorly trained men (which pretty much sums up the army at the time) through some harsh terrain, and isn't that always the case with a route? Toronto wasn't called Toronto then tho, fyi. Sort of how you guys burned Buffalo, but it wasn't called Buffalo then. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Hrmm, didn't know we burned buffalo either. Usually I research these things before I comment on them. That victory you guys had in New Orleans was pretty impressive. Killed 700 british and injured 1200 with only 13 deaths and whatever injured on your side. And yeah, I think I remember something about the people pushing for invasion of canada being mostly Irish immigrants, probably having a grudge against england stronger than normal americans.
  11. I've only seen the movie, so I'm guessing either they portrayed it wrong in the movie, or theres more to it. I'm guessing theres more ways to become a citizen, its just that military service is the easiest. Kind of like the roman empire.
  12. Yea, we torched Toronto. The ironic part is, instead of helping us against the British, you helped them..... only to have years of uprising and protests put down by the British till you finally got independece years later. an alligator and a pig? Sounds like it would be a short story..... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The uprisings weren't much though. I think both rebellions were put down within hours of starting because no one took part in them. I mean, Canada was where all the people who didn't want to leave British rule went to during the american revolution, of course we weren't going to join the americans in kickign out the british, half our population was people who were kicked out of the US for supporting the british. The major rebellions started after we gained independance with the whole Riel thing. But all that did was create Manitoba. And nobody cares about Manitoba. Edit: Never knew you guys torched Toronto. Ya learn something new every day. Guess we can only be proud of repelling 3 US invasions now.
  13. And what exactly does this mean? Are you talking an alternate fuel car. Or a car 'collage' from other cars. lol. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It was a (bad , I thought Canadians were supposed to be funny. Remind me again why we havn't invaded you guys... ) joke suggesting his car was a hybrid because it's engine was a "hybrid" of parts from various cars. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You did invade us. 1812 remember. We repelled the invasion while the british burned down your capital. :D
  14. I don't even know how to go about researching my lineage. I know I'm decended from one of the founding families of the Comox Valley in BC, Canada on my mom's side, further back from that no idea, as well as my dad's side no idea.
  15. Damn you. I want a european car... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I want one of those nifty new Scion cars, the one with the flipout stereo console. It's the premiere car of science fiction enthusiasts dontcha know. At least....according to the commercials. It does look cool though. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Those are the ones Toyota made after Honda beat the Echo for Ugliest Car when they brought out the Element right? Edit: Nevermind. Scion makes more than one car. I've only seen the commercial for this monstrosity:
  16. I'm waiting for the package of all 6 films. Hopefully by then, GL will be dead and someone else will be in charge of Lucasarts and will release a Alien Quadrilogy quality package, with both the theatrical cuts, and special editions.
  17. They should be able to add the hoods up/down option with 2 months to focus on the PC only.
  18. The stores I've seen here in Canada, the XBox games sell for between $70 and $80, while the PC games sell anywhere from $20 to $59.99 at most. I personally bought my KOTOR game for $39.99, but that was about a month after it had already been out. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Damn, where in Canada are you? Over here on the west coast the average price for a PC game is $75. $40 For old games. The Starcraft Battle Chest is $40. Thats just silly.
  19. At least Pepsi tries new things, like with Pepsi Twist, Pepsi Blue, Crystal Pepsi, etc. Even though Pepsi Twist was the only decent one, at least they tried. Then again, maybe Coke just had a bad experience with that once.
  20. *ahem*. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Damn, how did I miss that....
  21. I'd like to see a movie based on Vampire: The Masquerade. The lame TV show didn't do the world justice at all, what with the Vampires unaffected by sunlight and all.
