SHOULD OBSIDIAN LEAVE KOTOR II MODABLE?
Oerwinde replied to steelfiredragon's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Wait, doesn't that imply it was modable? KOTOR was modable, to an extent. You could do new areas, new recruitable characters, new skins, etc, as long as you used the geometry that was already in the game. So you couldn't do anything really new because other than textures, you couldn't add any visual content to the game. Modders are trying to figure out how to crack the model format so they can add their own geometry to the game but so far I think the furthest they've gotten is being able to add their own geometry, its just not able to move. So they can add new static objects, but still can't edit character geometry, which is the big thing so they can add monsters and new equipment. -

SHOULD OBSIDIAN LEAVE KOTOR II MODABLE?
Oerwinde replied to steelfiredragon's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I don't care if they release tools or not, tools will come out as long as the game isn't a **** to mod. Mods would sprout up like mad for KOTOR if only the model format could be cracked, but until then all they can have is reskins. With KOTOR2 all I ask is that the team doesn't keep silent about stuff like that so mods can be made. No extra work on the dev's part except maybe a message board post. -
If they do a movie about him, Dennis Quaid is the only choice.

Edit: Only funny if you read Transmetropolitan.

Well, the guy who plays Chewbacca is signed on for 3 movies after episode 3. That can be taken as either they plan to make it, or they might as well get him on board just in case.

A) Dunno B)Its direct to video and I believe it will be released in North America. C)See B uh oh, direct to video...................... Definition of 'Direct to Video' from the Official Raven Dictionary - A) This movie sucks, and we know we will only get 3 people to go to the theator to watch it, so we will put it on video in the Walmart bargain bin so you think your getting a good deal. B) This movie is a sequal to a box office hit Disney film, and we know this one sucks, so our plan is to convince parents this is the expanded edition, so they buy it for their kids. Damn, we're smart. C) A dreadful film which couldn't get enough hype, so it went straight to video. D) Not long enough to warrant a theatrical release. If I remember right its only like 40 minutes long. Also, all the Batman animated films were good, and only one got a theatrical release. Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker is the best Batman film period, and it was direct to video.

I, Robot. I expected it to be a mindless popcorn Will Smith action film, but it was actually a popcorn Will Smith action film that was decently intelligent.

I disagree, books 4-6 were the best ones in my opinion. Number 7 was ok. And nr. 8 and 9 were not so great, but still good. CoT is the worst one of the 10, too little Rand and Forsaken, too much Elayne and Perrin. I just thought Rand was a much more interesting character when he was trying not to channel and just relying on his skill. And Perrin was cool for a while, now he's just whiny. I agree about Perrin, not about Rand though, I think it's interesting to see how he changes as a person throughout the books. But you've gotta admit, Mat is ten times cooler in the later books compared to books 1-3. Book 1, Perrin was my favorite Character, then Rand until book 3 or so when Rand goes nuts and starts channelling like mad. Now its Mat. Lan is such a **** now that I'm just plain disappointed. And Robert Jordan's real weakness is that he refuses to kill characters and just keeps introducing more.

Apparently the Broken Lizard guys did it mainly so they could go to a tropical island and have hot women take off their tops. Also, I think that a lot of people go into it expecting a scary movie type comedy, when its really just a slasher film with some funny characters. ***SPOILER*** Rabbit sure makes a really cool looking killer though.

I'm really disappointed. While I'm sure he'll do a good job I think Michael Bay would have been a better choice(He tends to specialize in brightly shot, lighthearted action with rah rah go america overtones, which is perfect for Superman), and I doubt Fox will want to wait until Bryan is done with Superman before starting on X-Men 3.

my brother uses his PS2 USB headset with his computer, and it seems to work fine. Its about $40 CAD

Yep, but then when I go see someone who doesn't end up being a quack, I still don't have to pay for it.

Glad to see my country is high up there. I personally wouldn't want to live anywhere other than the great white north. Mainly due to what my girlfriend is going through right now in Washington State. Her whole body went numb so she went to the doctor, they told her it was all in her head, prescribed some xanax, and sent her on her way with a 300$ bill. A week later and it hadn't gotten better so she went to another doctor, who said it was most likely MS. While the same is possible up here, at least we don't get stuck with a 300$ bill for getting a quack's opinion.

Song of Ice and Fire is the best thing to happen to Epic Fantasy since the beginning. As for Wheel of Time.... I wish Robert Jordan would just finish the damn story so he can work on his spinoffs to make more money instead of doing them before he finishes. (Hey Rob, Prequels usually come after the story is told, not in the middle of it you GD sellout) The first 3 were amazing, then they slowly started to get worse and now I'm almost done Crossroads of Twilight and the biggest event of mention is that Elayne got honey in her damn tea. I hope he has kids because when he dies and theres still 12 books left before the end of the series his kid can probably use his notes and write a single book that wraps the whole thing up and not feel like he rushed it.

Hey, don't be dissing Brad Pitt. I hate how everyone rips on him because he's pretty. Most of his movies are good (Fight Club, Snatch, Legends of the Fall, Interview with the Vampire, Se7en, 12 Monkeys, Kalifornia, Meet Joe Black, etc.) And Eric Bana was the best part of the movie. Personally I loved Troy. I got home and said "Man, I wanna see that again" As did everyone else I know who saw it. I went in to see an entertaining movie, and thats what I got. It didn't even claim it was based on the Illiad so I don't know why people say it butchered it. Right there in the credits: "Inspired by". When a movie says its based on something they usually stray more than Troy did, and they just claimed to be inspired by it. I wish A)People would stop seeing movies they know they won't enjoy, then bitching that they didn't enjoy it. And B)Hollywood would kill all film critics because none of them know a good movie when it kicks them in the face. Didn't see a single positive review for butterfly effect, and have not met a single person who didn't think it was awesome.

There are other artificial sweeteners that are way less harmful(or the side effects aren't yet known ), like Sucralose(Splenda), Aspartame is in fact a neurotoxin that happens to be sweet and have no short term effects.

Yep. And I'd prefer gaining a couple pounds by having sugar in my pop than having crazy neurological disorders.

Unfortunately no. A lot of the base party member outfits are custom built bodies just for them rather than actual 'clothing' bodies. You will probably not be able to steal any of the unique party NPC outfits for your own character. Sorry. :/ -Akari Will there be ways we can wear clothes over armor so we can get the bonuses of the armor with the appearance of the clothes? Otherwise it seems almost like a waste putting all the work into the default appearance of the NPCs when you're pretty much going to change them into armor so they don't die as soon as you get them.

Will there be feats unique to the PC? How about feats that can only be chosen during character creation? Approximately how many passive/non-combat force powers are there? Rough estimate.
