  1. Also probably billions of marketing dollars saying something about established franchises and whatnot.
  2. Excite! Mad Men and Starcraft II!
  3. Is that anti-aliasing I see? Looks impressive, I just hope the crazy-looking animations don't lock your character up, that's a big no-no in a Diablo clone.
  4. What everyone seems to be missing is that you don't have to target the enemies for most things, just targeting the ground or even a general direction was good enough in Diablo. Nothing like enemy after enemy falling to your flamethrower/lightning/ice thingy.
  5. Both, obviously
  6. Freedom Force 3? In actual news, you can now play Snake on Youtube. Just hold down the left arrow key during any video or when it's paused to start it.
  7. What about her wasting all the healing items?
  8. An excellent choice, I approve.
  9. This isn't only about DD and Steam, it's about things like OnLive, iOS/Android gaming, changing old franchises and generally enjoying games that might not be as complex or story-heavy as some older ones, but are still fun. I'm not saying that new things are good/bad/whatever, but I see potential and I'm willing to give most things a try before I disregard them.
  10. More like someone who doesn't have any skills at 150 by Den.
  11. Wheel defense force unite!
  12. Some people are just allergic to new things/ideas.
  13. With a Barbarian you could just hold down the button and mow down enemy after enemy when they swarmed you. I guess someone didn't know about the wonders /players 8
  14. Just take into account that a lot of the people here are conservative old grognards.
  15. It was the first game where you could shoot out tires and wheels, as far as I know anyway. Also it didn't reset the world when you started a quest like GTA, so you could do fun stuff like shoot out the tires of the bad guy's getaway car and watch him crash into the first lamppost when trying to get away. The stealth stuff is kind of bad and that one mission in the docks where you have to carry crates around sucked, but overall it's a great story mixed in with some nicely varied missions.
  16. oh? but wait, with a usual build you'd have small guns at 150+% by the time you hit Den for the first time (using F2 only as an example, can't remember the last time I played F1). and that means 90% of the time you one-shot your enemies with any weapon at it's optimal range if you aim for the eyes. and I mean any enemy (save for Frank, but who fights him anyway?). I don't remember head shots working that way My usual build is not your usual build, bro. Then again I don't play it that often to have a "usual build".
  17. You say it like it's a bad thing. Be sure to take a ride on one of those upright gas canisters, aim the grapple at the top part and then shoot it.
  18. You only had to keep clicking in Diablo 1. I don't really know where D2 got the reputation for being all clicking all the time, holding down the button comes pretty naturally.
  19. For sure, the story and atmosphere are excellent. Oh and PC was supposedly the lead platform for Mafia II.
  20. Head was obviously the best choice. Unconsciousness FTW!
  21. We had a discussion about OnLive a month ago or so. See this thread. And Morgoth, I think most people know that already, being PC gamers and all...
  22. Thornton is barely a character, he is mostly just an extension of the player.
