Well, you should like the First Law trilogy then, it really tears classic fantasy a new one, even more in some places than ASoFaI. Plus the series is all actually finished

Try A Song of Ice and Fire by George R. R. Martin and/or The First Law trilogy by Joe Abercrombie if you want some non-traditional fantasy
  3. We're above calling people morons here, it's usually just snide remarks. As for gifs:
  4. Al much as I hate the rubber forehead aliens, the Elder Things are one of the stupider looking of Lovecraft's aliens. The Mi-Go, Star Vampires and the various gods a much better examples of alien aliens.
  5. At this point I'll be happy if a bunch of arctic explorers get chased around by a Shoggoth. Just as long as it's not a bunch of teenagers lost in Alaska
  6. There's also a pretty good preview up on Rockpapershotgun. Personally, I'm waiting for Stardock's Elemental: War of Magic.
  7. I think they're announcing it on the 12th. The same day btw when Doom 4 will be announced. Damn announcements of announcements. *grumble grumble*
  8. Tiny teaser is lame. I can wait until the 11th without it.

  10. There's a whole bunch of that kind of weird games made by Spiderweb Software. If you like that kind of stuff...
  11. Hey, Black and White was good. But I get your point.
  12. It's badly optimized, looks exactly like the console version and has bad controls from what I can remember. Still playable, though.
  13. You can watch them in 2D as well. It probably helps against piracy and some studios like Sony have a lot to gain from it in terms of selling new TVs. As for the movies themselves, I couldn't care less. The glasses are kind of heavy and uncomfortable, but it's not the end of the world. Just put it on Broadway
  14. Can't go wrong with a naked top hat wearing ****ney guy who pimp-slaps random people on the street. Plus the pimp slap animation is epic. The storyline ain't half bad either. And the car customization is insane, I've got a whole stable of tricked out rides. The PC port is really crappy, though.
  15. Probably something with the 4th edition. Bah.
  16. that was one very difficult game. well at least that's how I remember it. never beat it More like endlessly frustrating, but it's totally finishable.
  17. At this point I should once again express my undying love for Septerra Core. (Available now on Good Old Games).
  18. Sweet. While Mountains of Madness doesn't really do the usual Lovecraftian small creepy village/town thing, the old timey Antarctic explorers angle does add quite a bit to it in terms of uniqueness. Also it's one of Lovecrafts few actual novels, most of the stuff was short stories.
  19. Well it's a start. I'm guessing they're keeping the 1930s time period? That alone would be fun to watch.

It has advanced quite a bit over the last year. Not long now till it becomes self aware.
  22. Just don't click any links in there or you'll be lost forever.
  23. There's a whole trope for that. What? Someone on this forum pointing to reviewers as correctly judging a game? I thought they were all hacks.... Obviously it's because there was no one to bribe them to lower the scores
