  1. Speaking of memory: (via NeoGAF)
  2. I know. The PC pirates, on the other hand... Can't really blame them if they don't want to bother with steam. Not saying that's the only reason they'll do it ofcourse, just as a thought. We're not having another DRM discussion flame war, not in my thread. The manual gear shifting was really cool in the original, it would be a shame to lose it.
  3. There's a refreshingly large amount of environmental interaction as well. I like people putting up their hands when you aim a gun at them.
  4. The console people aren't going to turn to PC piracy just to play Mafia II(or have gaming capable PCs), they will most likely just ignore it if the reviews are bad.
  5. Well beyond it being grimdark, containing various races employing an increasingly implausible array of weapons and something about god emperors. Oh, and this:
  6. You make a convincing point. So back to Mafia II, apparently at least the 360 version is inferior to the PC one in terms of performance... so PC superiority has been confirmed once more.
  7. I bet they're all inferior But I can sympathize.
  8. Go play the original then, it's on Steam and it has a nice story. Also, all the open world stuff is optional, you can just go from mission to mission if you want.
  9. It is pretty short, but I don't think most people are looking for story in a demo. The graphics are great and the optimization is superb.
  10. The demo is out ignore it at you own peril.
  11. No, not like 40K anything.
  12. You can do anything well, I just don't see what so great about it.
  13. Um, spoilers much?
  14. So do we categorize the games as just creepy, scary and horrifying?
  15. maybe we should have a separate let's play thread...
  16. It's just that RPG and horror aren't exactly a natural mix. You might be better of with a mystery RPG with horror elements in the story...
  17. Sanitarium is awesome. Add Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth to that list. I guess Cryostasis is pretty scary as well. And Alien vs Predator, especially the second one.
  18. Look up helloween4545, he's good.
  19. I want a pony.
  20. Having a variety of different conflicts/problems/tasks and different ways to solve them is always good. I don't know why everyone is so hung up on the "modern". While it may not be all that common in RPGs, it is pretty common in other genres. It is mundane, with concrete limits and still prone to a billion cliches. Why not take an existing setting and turn it on it's head ala Planescape? Why not explore some less used time period in a globetrotting adventure? Why not go crazy and make the setting dynamic in a choice-driven narrative?
  21. Look on the bright side, if more games got seized before release, we would probably be living in a better world.
  22. Demo coming out tomorrow on Steam.

Truly you have glimpsed behind the curtain and revealed the shocking truth the whole world. Akinator has finally been outed as the fraud he is.
