  1. I liked it, but then I'm not familiar with the comic book. It was a much slower film than I was expecting, so I was nicely surprised there. The dialogue was a bit shoddy and there was too much filler at the expense of a proper ending (ie the ending seemed rushed and unbelieveable, while it could have been made better at the expense of cutting some previous content). Visually it was great, Ron Perlman was excellent and the story was nicely pulp/weird fiction.
  2. You can also disable signatures in your profile, so you don't have to see any of them. Still, I do try and get people to reduce the size whenever I see gargantuan sigs.
  3. Not here, right? Right?
  4. Heh. That was my avatar for a while. Perhaps I'll change it back....
  5. Well, you could always just rely on post quality to differentiate yourself from the others. Just an idea.
  6. Kinda like this thread?
  7. Who said anything about allowing freedom of speech?
  8. That's why stickies generally don't work. People who post without reading are the ones that need to read first, but won't.
  9. Pff. Josan would strangle Barren with the Dr. Who scarf within seconds. My match-up: Gromnir vs The Governator
  10. Because Ender is using the Fanout budget to buy and drink rum.
  11. Well, it does say "Post suggestions, questions or comments about our website, forums, or games you'd like to see here!" and I think that's about as clear as can be made, really.
  12. I agree with Visceris on this one. I was really enjoying KOTOR until I was forced (no pun intended) to become a Jedi. I don't want to be a Jedi or Sith, I don't like them. It wouldn't be so bad if the Force powers weren't so combat-focused, and if I could continue multi-classing with my previous class, but neither was provided. Then the irritation was hammered home when I met whats-his-name in the Kashyyk forest, the ex-Jedi. He had Jedi powers, but wasn't really a Jedi. I wanted to be that character, but I couldn't, yet there it is. Anyways. Sorry about the rant.
  13. Henson Productions has said that if PK Wars does well, it could lead to some sort of furthering of the show, either as a series of mini-series, a movie, or a new TV series. I doubt any of that will happen, but it'd be nice. But I do believe they are aiming for closure with PK Wars, just out of a sense of reality.
  14. Haha! Another convert! I'm glad you like the show, BetaSquad. It only gets better with every season, too. The overpriced DVDs are crazy though. I hope you can find somewhere that rents them. That said, I'm going to take the plunge and buy the entire series. Though even getting them at cost is frelling expensive.
  15. I think they're extremely fair and rational. There's nothing strict about them, unless you happen to think you should be allowed to behave any way you see fit without repercussion. In which case, I don't think it's the guidelines that are the issue.
  16. I'd love to go to University for Classics, but I really can't afford the reduced income and higher expenses involved.
  17. How are the guidelines "pretty strict"?
  18. I think post-counts should be done away with altogether, but that's just me.
  19. It's being worked on! The forums are being re-tooled, and there have been some unexpected bumps.
  20. I would think that a quantum physics professor would be all over an extravagent "what if" hypothesis. Though the school may not share that enthusiasm.
  21. What about the Arcane Card Catalogue and the Diabolic Dewey Decimal System?
  22. I don't know if "better" is the right word. More convenient perhaps. I think one learned more having to use books for research, rather than just finding stuff on-line and using the "Find" feature to look for your keywords. *shrug*
  23. I remember doing my homework without the internet.
  24. WOTC really aren't pushing Eberron to the long-time D&D players, are they? The two computer games coming out using that campaign setting are an RTS and a MMORPG. I wonder if they'll ever want a proper Eberron cRPG, or if they're going to push it towards the RTS/online crowd exclusively?
  25. That doesn't sound very Christian... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Sure it is! The Christians have a proud history of being used in bloodsport in the Roman collosseum.
