  1. No Firefly?
  2. It's a good article, but as was pointed out he's preaching to the choir with it. It's far too long an article for most people to pore through, and certainly no Bush supporter is going to read all, let alone say "You know, he's right" and change his support. I think his being the son of Regan does carry some weight, but only in the sense that any president or presidential candidate likes to haul out their kids. It's kind of interesting to see the kid contradict the parent in that regard.
  3. You can choose to log in as "invisible" at the log in screen.
  4. Why were the member numbers removed? I liked that we had numbers, it was kind of Prisoner like
  5. I gathered that was the intent but the trailer doesn't exactly indicate how that is being accomplished. There's no satire in that trailer, really. *shrug* Probably be a good rental sometime.
  6. True. But Bittorrent is not illegal, nor is using it. People use their internet connections and computers to obtain and play pirated games, the very same computers their using to participate on this forum. If we were posting links to illegal software then it'd be a different story.
  7. That's an excellent perspective to have on these boards. Run with that and you're pretty much covered.
  8. I didn't really see the point... I like the South Park guys, but this trailer is a mess. What's the point of the movie?
  9. Well, you're saying to destroy all evidence that you tried something when it fails. And the spelling of your signature is an immense failure in spelling. So by reason of the notion expressed in your signature, you should destroy the signature.
  10. Precisely.
  11. No, it wouldn't "kik ass" because if such a site existed it would be full of stolen partially finished games, source codes, developer tools/hacks, and so forth, all of which would be very un-helpful to developers. Oh, you might want to destroy your signature...
  12. BitTorrent isn't pretty to look at, and it's not terribly intuitive to use, but it is the best out there for the transfer of large amounts of data.
  13. If game developers were habitually embittered by not getting to make a game they wanted to make, the entire industry would be filled with cranky, bitter, angry, jaded and hateful people.... Oh, wait..
  14. Maybe this is an area where Troika wanted the game to echo the original module - complete with bad voices by D&D players.
  15. He might be amongst the greatest mopers and whiners of the 20th century, but thinker... no. Morrissey is kind of like Trent Reznor (Nine Inch Nails) - constantly whining and carrying on about how the world hates him and everything is oh-so-horrible and his life is full of woe, while having a massively successful career, buckets of money, fame, prestige.. 'Tis all a wee bit much to take, really.
  16. Hmm.. yes, you're right. There's a bloody battle a-brewing I reckon.
  17. It deserved at least a full season chance, I think. Cancelling it after the 3rd or 4th episode was dumb. It's almost as though Fox has something against Tim Minear, cancelling Firefly after one episode, and Wonderfalls after just a couple.
  18. Not for long. Soon it'll be under Sheep Rule! I hear they rule with an iron hoof.. All hail the Golden Fleece!
  19. Newfies In Space! Yeah, I watched Lexx for a while. I didn't like it enough to really keep watching though, but I've seen a couple of seasons worth of episodes. The sexual aspect of the show is pretty dominant, and I'd hazard to say it's the main element and raison d'etre of the series. I found that Lexx was either really good or really bad. When it was good, it was the best thing on TV, but when it was bad, it was such a waste of time.
  20. His voice gets on my nerves, so while I appreciate him, I can't listen to more than a few songs at a time before I succumb to calling him a whiny bast@rd.
  21. I've never seen The Office, though it looks quite good. I know BBC Canada plays it, but it doesn't seem to be on a regular schedule, rather they air it in "special" intervals of a number of episodes at once. I can't keep track of it.
  22. Those are the rabbits.
  23. The BBC series was great, and wholly captured the character of the books. It was also based on the radio play, if I recall correctly. What this new film will have is a budget, and so it'll look very nice. Of course, the low-budget look really suits the story. My girlfriend just finished reading the whole series, so now she has to see the miniseries! I can't wait to see it again.
  24. I liked The Smiths well enough, and some of Morrissey's earlier albums were good, but overall I'm not all that keen on him. He's ok.
  25. I don't think it's going to suck, I think some of it may be good, but it's only going to vaguely echo Adams' book, and not be a solid and convincing interpretation. I really think it's going to lack the wit of the book (how many of the books are in this film, anyways? Is it just the first book, the first three, the whole thing?) and the humour won't be as sharp. It'll probably look very good.
