13 hours of education per week, hm? No wonder lawyers are idiots.
-
Why? I wish I had a high school schedule again. Five hours a day, home by 3:30. Nothing to laugh at there. Now a university schedule I don't envy.
-
To put it as politely as possible, yes.
-
Yeah, a meager 4 hours. 4 hours is nothing in watching Farscape! Why wouldn't Sci-Fi be wanting to put the show into syndication? Does syndication not mean income for Sci-Fi as they'd be selling x-number of viewings per episode?
-
Well, it wasn't supposed to end there, just be a cliffhanger before going into season 5. You speak true. Unfortunately, it's crap that stays on TV and the good stuff gets cancelled. What irritates me is that Sci-Fi pulled the plug on Farscape because it cost too much, and now they're so behind and supportive of PK Wars. Hopefully the mini gets strong enough ratings to make Sci-Fi reconsider and put the show back into production. What's sad is that here in Canada, the Space channel (our version of Sci-Fi) isn't sure if they can justify the expense of buying the broadcast rights since the ratings for the show are so low.

The general consensus amongst Farscape viewers is that, like B5, you have to see each episode in order to really know what's going on. I do recall catching a B5 episode or two, but never liked it, and I fully realise that out of context it's not going to be good. It was also during the first season, which I hear wasn't too good.

Please don't! Western culture is largely an embarrassment. Russia was once quite glorious and had it's own very unique culture. Russia should strive to regain that past, and not adopt western ways.

You kind of have to see it from the beginning, but Season One isn't a great way to measure the show's quality. As much as I liked S1, each season gets progressively better. Newcomers should start at S1 as you really need to understand the character backgrounds. The plot arc doesn't really kick in until the second season, though. Buying a season set is expensive, though. You may want to see if you can rent the DVDs instead. The company that issues the Farscape DVDs charge a fortune for their titles. And BetaSquad, the show is really good. The characters are excellent and the writing is brilliant.

I haven't seen B5. For it's entire run I didn't have television and I've never seen repeats. Farscape, like B5 (from what I've read about the show) also follows a story arc, though that arc is more character-driven than plot driven (however the plot does figure prominantly, as character growth is influenced by plot developments). The show doesn't have a lot of action sequences (it has them, certainly, but they're not predominant), which is why the PK Wars trailer surprised me. Though I'm sure the trailer is designed to get maximum viewer interest, so that's cool with me. More viewers means a better chance for the show's resurrection.

That's a bannable offense. Just watched the trailer... Looks frelling fantastic! One one hand, it's a shame they focused on the action stuff rather than the character-driven aspect of the show (which is it's true strength), but on the other, I don't want to be spoiled. Can't wait to see this, and the real maddening thing is that there's currently no broadcast schedule for it in Canada!

I'd go for a Keebler Elf/Dungeon Decorator multi-class myself, with aspirations of the Homemaker prestige class (I noticed the article left out PrCs - don't they want anyone to read it?! )

Woo! Thanks so much, TG!

I just checked with Explorer, and my background was black. If this could be fixed, that'd be great. I really don't like using Explorer.

Black? Mine is white, too. Using Mozilla.

That's a poor excuse, but all too common a mind-set. Though it comes down to a simple "everyone else is doing it, why shouldn't I?" outlook, which is why this sort of thing goes on. Nations against nations only causes more anger, hatred, unrest and war, when "us and them" mentalities are the product of political leaders seeking to stir up ire to support their own political agendas. It very much is about hate. When you talk about being chipper over "enemy" nations being eradicated, and endorse raining death and destruction, that's hate. It's also the worst kind of hate, the kind of hate caused by fear.
-
The notion of national "enemies" is nothing but political rhetoric and propaganda. It's a sad "us against them" situation of hate, accomodated only due to the facelessness and de-humanisation of another group of people. Buying into it only perpetuates a pointless and unfortunate cycle of antagonism, xenophobia, senseless aggression and violence.

I don't know a lot of details, or any really, about individual synth models. But I do know that Kurzweil are amongst the very best in synthesizers, and used by many professionals. I don't think you can go wrong in purchasing one, but only do so if you're serious (or have a lot of money to burn), as they are very good, and very in-depth in their abilities.

I agree, it is poor posting form. Deraldin, if you can't take the time to select the quotes from the post you are responding too, either compose a response of your own without the quotes or wait until you can take the time to post properly. I don't see how that uses less space than just responding to a couple of comments.

Why would someone need multiple graphics cards? I can see it if you've got more than one monitor, but buying two cards for "better performance"? Seems like nothing but a cash grab to me.
-
Like they did for the recent Punisher movie?
-
An absolute classic. Directed by one Michael Moore, as well.

Touche. Nice catch. B)

That's "Canadian", not Candian. Although John Candy was Canadian, and a follwer of his comedic style may be considered Candian. But I'm not such a person.

Sadly, I'm not.
