If this thread is an example of GG, then I would point to it. It is filled with vitriol and derision towards random people that seem to live on Twitter. Many of these twitter residents are clearly unstable, and yet they are continually mocked and laughed at. It can't seem to stay focused on actual ethics in game journalism, but instead constantly drifts towards crass humor about feminism and patriarchy. A few pages ago someone posted a twitter comment from some non-celebrity about rape, and we got a page full of rape humor. All of this might be more fitting for this forum if we actually had any SJW's running around in WOT. But we don't. So instead it just turns into a big circle jerk. They use Bruce as a target, but he's not really a SJW. Quacking like a duck does not make you a duck. What censorship movement is he even involved in? He doesn't even report posts here, he raves about GTA and defends strip clubs. Get a clue, he is just playing devil's advocate. Hurlshot had made some excellent points and I encourage everyone to read this post I do often attempt to debate and position devils advocate which gets misconstrued as me pushing a SJ agenda. Yet of course sometimes the SJ element is what matters more than the alternating perspective. For example the Indiana Freedom of Religion law was about the SJ issue. And the SJW is just easier to use because you get called that anyway, I have often stated I prefer saying " I support various SJ causes " ...which is exactly what I tell people in RL when I meet them and they ask me what are hobbies or similar questions

Well its clear why you make generalizations about SJW, you are woefully uninformed about the broader SJ movement. You only see the movement in the context of gaming and how it impacts you I can help you change that mindset..but it will take time as I'll be honest there will be loads of work and understanding for us to get through? Oh? What if all of this started with a MALE developer, lets call him Zachary Quinn, sleeping with five female journalists for favourable coverage. Not only that, he would've sabotaged a game jam, then created his own with a personal paypal account for donations. He would've also gone to court and solicited a gag order on his former lover, who wrote an embaressing blog about their relationship. Finally, thanks to his friends and connections he would've silenced discussions about the affairs on Reddit, 4chan and so on. Tell me, how would the mainstream media have handled this? Difficult to say. Its always hard to comment on a hypothetical example when the scenario is so unlikely But if he was being harassed online like Zoe Quinn I'm sure he would have received support from some people? Don't pretend to be dumb now. Would've the SJWs listen and believed Zachary Quinn's story and defended him unquestionally? Well you wont like my answer but I doubt it. And the reason is not because SJW don't care about white, heterosexual males its more to do with the reality that this group is the least likely group in the world that is discriminated against. So the SJ structures aren't understandably so evolved for discrimination against this group so I imagine there just would naturally be less outrage? That's why I said the scenario is very unlikely

I'm sure it will have the standard faults. PC gamers will still grind their teeth in frustration as they wrestle with a dreadful unintuitive UI that is not designed for a keyboard and mouse. Combat will again be overly twitch based and not particularly tactical, despite the hours of developer-narrated gameplay footage we've seen where they try really *really* hard to sell us, once again, on how complex and *deep* 5 signs + a sword is (but hey, we got crossbows now! Just like throwing daggers in TW2, but better!). Crafting will probably, again, be an uninspired chore. And my gut is telling me that "Horse management" will probably be more tedious than they're leading us to believe. But that all said, my biggest gripe with Witcher 2 was how small and constrictive the world space felt (Loc Muinne still gives me clusterphobia nightmares. ugh), and they've obviously addressed that in Witcher 3, and in such a mind-blowing epic way too. So I'll probably fall madly in love with this game and spend the majority of my summer inside, in front of my computer, playing it. Awfully cynical outlook there. I got no idea why you'd be so sure they'll mess those things up without seeing them in action. Looks like everything is improved from Witcher 2, especially the fighting system. I'd say the UI looks much better too. Yeah I agree, this game is shaping up to look brilliant

An excuse to what? I don't really understand what rule they supposedly broke. Regardless having researched a little bit. According to HB they were told by security that they are being expelled because of "harassment" with no explanation about what the harassment was. Okay well that's a very different story if it is harassment..that would get anyone expelled from a convention

Not really, I just refer to the words " GG " when I talk about the entire movement. I don't say every single person in GG is this or that. You seem to generalize about every single SJW when you have an issue..and that seems to happen fairly regularly. But I suppose you also don't mean every single SJW so my concern seems a little silly. My bad But now this debate becomes difficult to have with you if really believe that every single SJ movement or suggestion is about control and slavery..that's just a negative and unhelpful generalization. Volo I have time now so lets discuss this You cannot generalize and say SJW are destroying women...of course there will be mistakes made when some SJ ideas are implemented. You can cause more harm than good when you espouse certain ideas that are well meaning yet come across as absurd and insulting, like in the thread about the limerick where my fellow erudite SJW were saying that " black on white racism doesn't really exist and isn't something that needs to be discussed " ...I don't support this view because a better way of saying it is " black on white racism isn't essentially as dehumanizing or offensive as normal white on black racism" . By saying the first thing you just irritate people who have been victims of black on white racism.... And you are wrong, I don't make paint whole groups ...I am not sure what you are even talking about ? Fun fact. Even though i never associated myself with GG nor do i ever intend to, but when i for example disagree with Anita's supporters, they always immidiatly assume that i am a GGer. And to find contradictions in the SJ narrative But its not a bad place, the people here aren't bigots. They aren't sexist or homophobic and in fact often champion these causes, this is about the rejection of SJ ideas in the gaming industry. Its about GG. I am a SJW and there is no point really even suggesting that people not use that word because its not really meant maliciously ...its more about a reference to the likes of Anita and there influence in gaming ...most people on this thread believe that the SJ movement is fundamentally changing and attacking something that doesn't need to be changed or they believe criticism is often misplaced or contradictory . But its just about gaming..so don't expect people to really take other SJ causes that seriously

Its about the broader issue of freedom of speech and the Putin regimes influence in the media narrative within Russia . The BBC has many interviews and guests who criticize the British government and considering how seriously British journalists and broadcasters take there independence the suggestion that the BBC is just a mouth peace for the British government is just scurrilous and absurd.
