Sure, then rather say " I won't give more to this KS" But that's not the same thing as saying " I can't give more " ( yes its semantics I know ) I can't give more. My parents help with groceries and my credit cards are maxed. I have no money to give. I haven't pledged to a kickstarter since numenera. There is dlc I have on my wishlist on steam that went on sale for 60 cents and I held off hoping it would be cheaper during the summer sale. Okay....now I feel really bad, you have found my Achilles heel. Guilt...I want to apologize for making assumptions...I want to make it up to you somehow. Can I pledge for you, $25?

So basically you are saying that you are fine allowing a forum like this to operate even if its only purpose is to cause animosity and hurt towards fat people ? If you want answers from me then answer all the ones I have already posed you, along with the evidence needed to back them up. Nonek lets not worry about past debates, its counterproductive to a more progressive future So basically you are saying that you are fine allowing a forum like this to operate even if its only purpose is to cause animosity and hurt towards fat people ? Yes. And I'm one of the fat people. Doesn't bother me if a bunch of morons want to make a bunch of jokes that I'll never see. Fair enough, I just wonder how other overweight people feel? You may be more of the exception

That makes no sense.,...yes it is just words on a forum...its doesn't make it any less hurtful or offensive to fat people and many others

Its an intrinsic part of African culture but its not technically legal ..however the authorities do basically turn a blind eye to it and there have been several bills in our parliament to legalize it. Its just a matter of time before we follow the prudent legalization paths of places like Colorado and Oregon

Lol, so the hundreds of racist, misogynist, misandrist, and other hate-group-oriented subreddits are tolerated, not to mention the ones organizing targeted harassment campaigns against real-life individuals -- but if there's even the weakest possibly of "fatshaming", the censorship hammer falls? Sounds like someone on the reddit staff has a chip on their shoulder regarding this issue... :D You sound guilty about something Ineth.....are you a member of that reprehensible " I hate fat people group " ?....You can be honest.....we all friends here

Nah, homeless people freezing to death is sad, this is just people being jerks online as they are pretty much everywhere. As for the lack of condemnation, that's pretty much it, not to mention it'd be useless to do so here. It is if you hate fat people Fair enough, I agree homeless people freezing to death is more important But I doubt the people who participate in that forum really hate fat people. Its more to do with making a controversial point and hoping to get a reaction from people who would be offended by this type of view?

This is sad..what is the purpose of a forum dedicated to hating fat people ? Why aren't you guys condemning this...at least because its so juvenile ? It's called "principle". If you are for free speech, then you have to allow all speech, especially the kind of speech that you like the least. Why? Because anonymity and free speech is the closest thing you can get to a truly honest opinion. Is that forum really an example of free speech that needs to be protected? Or a knee-jerk reaction to some stupid and insipid concept that was banned on Reddit? Also how is saying you hate fat people honest?

No, notice his/her signature "Lord of Lords", put that together with the style of prose that indicates that English is possibly not their first language and that they've made two inane threads about some deeply shallow concepts...It's LoF's new alter. Discussion: Rage sent me to make this thread - is this a mental issue or a social issue? That is the question. Its a mental perspective influenced by a social factor, so I would say its a combination of both ? You might be right but it's going to be hard to accept. It doesn't have to be, I would see this as just the way the human psyche responds to things that vex us In your case you made a thread to rationalize and get feedback on this issue. I would say this is normal. Discussing things on the Internet can be therapeutic?

Certainly have some that act that way. But there is a line between politeness and treating someone as sacred lest they pout a bit. Why should be happy for that, by the way ? Well in its proper implementation PC is suppose to be a way of making a point about groups of people without offending them. So for example you don't refer to gay people as " faggots" we refer to them as " homosexuals or gay folk " And since we don't like people to get offended this is naturally a good thing and should make us happy But I do accept that sometimes PC can be taken too far when it gets to the point where you suddenly cannot criticize someone for bad behavior

Not sure why this is an issue? Its unusual I'll give you that but CNN has many different news shows so if you have an issue with advertisers creating stories on this particular series then just don't watch it. The rest of CNN will continue to provide interesting and pertinent news stories and documentaries Edit: TL:DW The whole point of native advertising is to masquerade as news. This is bad. But if CNN is open about the fact that this particular news unit is about there advertisers then there is no surreptitious behavior? Also this is about advertiser content that other companies like the Wall Street Journal also uses. I can see you concern as there is a risk of news stories being influenced by advertisers but if its transparent then I don't see concern...and remember this is only one news unit that will probably feature once a day like the rest of there news stories So you will still get the other independent stories like Connect the World and Quest means Business
